I have received a bill with 4 calls for number 88222 and I did not place them?

We have just noticed that we have been sent 36 sms messages from 88222 and been charged £1.50 for each. Can we claim this back from our provider. They have said that it is nothing to do with them, as we activated the first one.

I have been bombarded with messages from this number titling them: 77G or 77G Prize and offering the enticement of a new iPad and/ or a whole range of freebies and special offers. Each time it ends with its mobile number: 08435236370.

I would like the 88222 texts to STOP.

This is a complete conn Unsolicited robbery with no recourse! This is also the case with 85222

I have been text back to cancel but u don't listen I am fed up I had enough I don't want it any more please stop it now this number u gave me it's seen never work to send u back to cancell???

What a rip off. This is a con.  I don't remember seeing any mention of membershjp fees being involved.  I have sent them a reply to stop their charges and my desire not to be involved but somehow I don't think it will be accepted.

I have been paying £4.50 every time I opened the 88222 text. Send stop to that no and yes pay again to stop them. It seems to be a registered charity!!!! DO NOT open them just delete. I've been paying a fortune monthly and only just found it. Apparently contacting the information commissioners office might be helpful. I'm doing so now.  Don't place your mobile no on line anywhere.

Have a chat with your network supplier and ask them to block premium rate texts to your phone

That's what the scam is as soon as you send stop to that number you are charged at premium rate it will cost you about £10.00

I too entered free play for ipad charged £4.50 what a con never give phone number out again live and learn the expensive way but how many have they duped? They want stopping.

I did not ask for this subscription and have no idea who this message was from but i think it is about time that government or trading standards put a stop to this kind of thing , sick to death of thinking i am entering a competition and then automatically being signed up to a subscription service  , there is never any indication that this will be the case , this is a total con and if i ever got my hands on the [***] who think this is a proper way of doing buisiness i would ring their theiving necks.

Tried it, however it doesn't work because it reinstates 3 months later, the only way I sorted it out was to change my phone number, now it's stopped, my provider didn't care , it was not there problem
