just had my 02 bill £15.00 to these people keep getting these texts even after sending stop

My daughter who is 12 started getting premium rate text messages from 88288 JuicyWin.com less than 30 minutes after activating her new phone! We checked with the shop we bought it from and the service provider and they both denied supplying numbers to JuicyWin. But how else did they get her new number within 30 minutes?
It's basically a rip-off which Ofcom needs to get hold of. If you have a contract phone they just steal money for their texting you. If you have a PAYG phone they will rob your money and wait for it - if there is not enough credit on your phone they will keep sending the text so when you top up your mobile they will take the money then!
Their website says "the promoter will ensure that no new premium messages are generated by the promoter after receipt of a valid stop command. All STOP commands are answered by a free text confirming the STOP command and the cancellation of the subscription."
JuicyWin is one of a number of phone scams run by SB7 Mobile, PO Box 61735, London. SW1V 1UX. UK - one of those untraceable service addresses which abound around Westminster! Tel: 08458697559. The company is officially registered with the Post Office as Sky Rocket Entertainments at the same address.

The above number (88288) is regulated by PhonepayPlus.

PhonepayPlus investigates complaints about phone-paid services (e.g. services beginning with 09, 118, or 0871/2/3 numbers, or five or six-digit text shortcodes).  Where PhonepayPlus decides that its rules have been broken, it can fine the company responsible, bar access to its services and even bar the individual behind the company from running other services under a different company name.  PhonepayPlus' investigations and adjudications service is free to consumers and fully independent.

In addition to the phone 'scam' run by the company antivirus software should flag up the website of juicywin.com as suspicious!

also my daughter who is a dimwit let her brother do this to text 88288 and hey presto 4.50gbp gone and we only put in a 5 pound when we bought the sim!! luckily 50 p spent on fb and 1 text an gone the clever ness of children!!

I have been conned by these [***] I just hope for their sake that I can't track them down, cos if I do I will take 10 x what they owe me and some.

Vodaphone have just told me it is a company called SB7Mobile.com and the number heading the e.mail is 88288 as with everyone else. Tried help@sb7mobile.com as recommended by Vodaphone but get nowhere, how can I find out where these crooks are, perhaps we should go there in force to get our money back. Anyone want a fight?

No idea how they got my number, have text saying STOP, got an almost instant response saying 'FREE MSG: All services from this shortcode are now stopped.  No further messages will be sent unless you text in again'

I am also with virgin ., i am paying for my son mob contract. Last month there was £18 cost for this so far this month £14 .  virgin also told me to text stop . so i hope it works . they told me to phone 0800500212 which is phone pay plus or phoneplus.hog.uk .  fingers crossed for all of us .

I got caught by this number. Rang my phone provider, said text STOP to 88288 and texts will cease. I did this and received free message back to say future texts cancelled. It cost me 10p.

received 3 messages from Juicy win asking me to reply with "YES" to confirm my recent entry into a prize draw, don't know how they got my number, I'm very careful with my details. Any ideas?

yeah i had the same problem, i was logging onto facebook when i was invited to take part in some iphone competition, so i typed in my phone number (like a mug) and i got entered into the competition. sooner or later i was recieving texts off this 88288 number every week and it was costing me a bomb for something i didnt want. i am on T mobile, all i did was text "STOP" to 88288 and i got a text back straight away. sorted

hi i read everyones posts on here i have recieved a text from 88188 saying about a competition, everyone else says that after texting 88288 they recieved a text saying that thy had been removed. i have not recieved anything back, so i also texted to 88188.

has anyone else not got a reply after texting stop?

Just read suggestion to send STOP to 88288 and immediately got back a text to say they'd stop, so we shall see.
