I canNOT believe I spent the best part of a day, in angry exchanges. So I'm not the only one, CONNED, SCAMMED, ROBBED like this, and its take 2 months to realise due to exceptionaly high bills.

Unlike a credit card or bank, your mobile phone provider doesn't stop unusual activity or premium rate.

I finally got through to the front companies - Win PLC, who only bill, Juicy Win, "My Offers" which maintains the website.

By entering a ONE time only competition accepting the T&C you do indeed sign up to £4.50 per WEEK of texts (so 8 weeks on my phone bill) CON CON CON, and its supposedly legal.

The customer services maintain, "its not our fault you delete the unsolicited texts" you agreed by ticking the box and entering the original compeition (I forgot about !) 2 months AGO.

Where is this in newspapers as a SCANDAL ?!?!?  They get away with it, because they maintain YOU the individual ticked a box where NO T&C could be seen without you going to a website. They maintain, every text says this is costing YOU £4.50 a time....

My mom said, "sweetie just be happy it was 2 months"... I'm so sorry for fellow folks being CONNED.

    Dude, that's WIN PLC

Who my mobile phone provider gave. I got through to them, its a front billing company its not the company sending you these UNsolicitied texts charging you for the privilege.

Dig deeper its www.juicywin.com and behind that, you MAY recall entering a competition under "My Offers" - I've still not worked out who's behind THOSE companies.

    Feeling for everyone here ranting.

By the way, (still not calmed down) the company who eventually take responsibility is called

    "SB7 Mobile" on 0844 445 7707

Staffed entirely by non-native English speakers, so complaining is compounded in being understood.

I just want to know, has any Newspaper in their money section or BBC's Watchdog investigated this scam and have I missed it ?

    Added to that, more hunting:

SB7 Mobile admitted that the WEBSITE Competition I'd entered was through this website...

    http://www.myoffers.co.uk/

Look the bottom T&C it says "*It's free to join MyOffers, and it's free to enter MyOffers' own competitions and prize draws. Some third party promotions may feature premium rate entry"

ALL competitions are 3rd party, and not only are they premium rate entry, but premium rate - JUNK UNSOLICITED TEXTs to RECEIVE their junk.

It is NOT free, because they send a text AFTER you entered (so don't enter your mobile/cell number) that's when they scam you, you then confirm you entered this ONE competition. And low & behold, SCAMMED until you realise you're being charged because you didn't read their buried T&C.

Hope individuals of these front companies, rot in a very dark place.
