    If you go to the www.wixawin.com and choose your country, then click on contact and then on "How do I unsubscribe from the service?", then click on "unsubscription form" it then asks you to enter your telephone number and a code that comes up in the required field and you will then receive a confirmation text telling you you will no longer receive any texts from this service.  Good Luck everyone!!!

    hello, does anyone know if virgin or our service provider get any monies from this company. they could be sued for negative billing after repeated attempts to stop the msg's.Bell had that problem of scammers using their lines. they had to repay or discount the charges; because they were getting a percentage of the money.

    Rogers and 88588 are in cahoots with each other. How come your service provider charges you for something you never use???.This is a scam and Rogers surely gets a percentage off this scam.

    Thanks so much for letting me know about this scam. I got the bill from Fido and I've been charged $24 for "Premium Services" (type of usage "Event"). I was totally confused and I couldn't recall any "Special Event"... I googled 18666700126 and I found this website.
    I took an IQ test and I wrote my cell phone no. (as they told me to do) to get my score. You know the rest of the story... I got messages from them (Q&A)almost every day.
    I sent the message STOP to 77277 and I received the message "you will no longer receive messages from this service". I am so relieved now!!!

    just like everyone else, i keep getting texts from 88588 and it wont stop!!! have a pay and talk telus phone, and cant make calls or personal texts as this stupid number eats up all my time, and apparently no one can block this number. very frustrating and expensive

    I just noticed the charges on my current bill. I have charged 40-60 dollars since aug 2008. This is extortion and the canadian government is allowing this.
    I am very much annoyed and I think this is fraud.

    I keep getting these dam survey questions. i have replied stop all then in cap once again then just stop  then that in caps but still keep getting these messages its been going on for months. i have call rogers money times to have them wave the charges but why should i keep taking my time to do this for no compensation? Please tell me and the others how to stop this for future reference.

    Pissing me off!!!
    I have a prepaid rogers phone which i had put in a $100 card about 2 months ago and now im left with a  balance of $17.20!!!! I tried texting "STOP" to them but didnt work at all. I have just recently sent them an email. Lets see wht happens.

    This 88588 number keeps on giving me text messages and charge me 2 dollars per text! What a mess! I'm really pissed off!

    I have no choice to stop it. so, I stop my text message service right now. I hope it'll final stop the dirty hand. I think all cell phone carriers are share the dirty money too. otherwise, how can the crabs get money?

    This is a fraud and Rogers to take part is sick......I recieved these msgs for about 2 months now and Today I called rogers and asked what is the deal with the bill which My plan is 33$ now came out to 60$........They said it was a subscription...I told them I didnt subscribe to anthing and if i did i would of got a better plan for text msging...i told them i would not pay for something i didn't subscribe too...i also said "What if some scumbag got my info and is scamming me for cash and u guys get rich too......?" They checked into it...after literally 40 minutes of cheap midi calming music......they came back and cleared the problem...i asked for a reference # and employee # and/or Customer Service # (<---Always do that!!!! for everything)....So fight for ur cash back!!!!!

    Just answer STOP to the msg txt that 88588 send you...its not that hard haha. (You might want to do that to every single wierd msg txt you receive from wierd phone number)

    I called my cell phone provider Fido about this. I got the bill  of $26.00 reduced in half. Of course i was not satisfied.So I called
    Fido again and got all the charges taken off my bill.  www.wixawin.com works, just follow instructions to unsubscribe. STOP did not work for me I kept getting failed call and no conformation by text when it did go through. I also sent a email to www.text88588.com and unsubscribed.  They emailed me back the
    same day and took my number out of their call list.  Emailing this company directly worked for me.
    This is a fraudulent type of service.  I tried to contact the CRTC but was mired in red tape.
    Do not pay for this.  Complain until you get satisfaction.
