- JPThey call constantly and it sounds like a scam or harassment. We have no accounts with them. I'm going to get on the nation do-not-call registry and then file a complaint.
- Caller: (something) consumer
- naRecv calls daily for someone who doesnt live at this number, and the person they claim is a reference doesnt live here either. Been calling daily 3-4 times for almost a month now.
- Caller: Sanderstan?????
- DawnIt's Santander Consumer USA, an auto financing company. I used to have a loan thru Sovereign, they sold it to Santander. They call almost everyday, even when I'm not behind on car payments. No one on the other end says anything, but this number is on their website.
- Caller: Santander Consumer USA
- AlbertI'm copying this verbatim as the exact same thing is happening to me. They will not stop calling.
I'm not a customer of Drive Financial. And yet, for the past few months, I've received multiple calls from them, on a near-daily basis. I have told them each time that the person they're looking for is not at this number, and they have told me they will remove me from their list. Obviously, they have not. - ScottI just started getting calls on my cell phone from them today, looking for a guy I've never heard of. Three times, but I only answered the first and the third calls. I told the first guy to take me off the list. I interrogated the third caller (it was like pulling teeth to get her to give me the name of her company), asked her why they were continuing to call and demanded that they remove me from their list.
I filed a complaint on the DoNotCallList website.- Caller: Santander

- Patricia Folks-McPhail| 1 replyI suppose you all know this company ghas been purchased by another, equally as bad, company: Santander. They do notidentify themselves as such until you are well into a conversation with them. They have the worse customer service I've ever seen. Had a female (Sheniqua) call my daughter's home (Fla) and demand to speak to me - she stated she knew I was there. She knew more than I because I live 1300 miles away. I have had calls from a male identifying himself as Bannaker who was yelling, threatening and unwilling to work with me on any arrangements. Later I got calls from someone who offered me a "Fresh Start" and was never able to contact him again, because everyone I call said no such person worked there.
I am fed up with this company, and I will be trading the vehicle in in about 2-months for a truly Fresh Start. - KayHad a loan with roadloans, they sold it to drive, then drive sold it to santander. now BOTH drive financial & santander are calling wanting the payments. Aparently neither company speaks to each other-I'm beginning to think they're both scammers. Waiting on a REAL bank to get back to us so we can transfer the account to someone who wont just sell it off to a fly-by-night company.
Also calls from
2142373516, or a 301* number.- Caller: Drive / Santander
- Dustin D'AmalfiI have asked this company to quit calling me as I do not have a loan with them. They continue to harras and call every day.
- JJ replies to ceeI am going to file a lawsuit for 'Harrassment' against Drive Financial & Santander Corp... I get 5 harassment calls a day and they even call me once or twice after 9 p.m. at night... They simply don't care and it is time for anyone who reads this blog to take this problem seriously and take appropriate action.
(Please see below and I will tell you what need to do)...
First, if you are late on a payment, they don't care as your telephone number is installed into a 'predictive dialing' computer and someone on the other end who doesn't give a damn just makes repeat calls all day long not caring who is on the other line... That is why these imbeciles don't say anything when you pick up the phone on several occasions...
It would be a professional manner for these companies to call you 'once' and than a followup call weekly... This is the professional way to handle late payments...
However, these deplorable people even if arrangements are made for a future payment will harrass you with several types of calls and messages, and even calls that no one is on the other end...
They do this because 'harrassment calls' pay and they have found it gets payments in quicker... The problem is that you and I don't do anything about it... Here is what you need to do right NOW !
Your first step is to log onto a website called the 'National Do Not Call Registry' - here is the site, copy and paste it in your web subject line: https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx
Register your name and number and file the complaint with notes... do this on every call that is harrassing... If you informed them NOT to call you again, as I have many times, than there is a detailed place to put your message...
Do this everyday if need be... Only takes one minute...
The government will respond to these guys I promise !
The second thing is to write a 'letter of complaint' to the Texas Attorney General, Mr. Greg Abbott
address: Office of the Attorney General
Consumer Protection Division
PO Box 12548
Austin, TX 78711-2548
Be specific as to the 'harrassment' they have caused you...
The third thing is to copy the letter to your home state Attorney General's office... My home state is Floirda, address:
Attorney General's Office, Mr. Bill McCollum
Office of Attorney General
State of Florida
The Capitol PL-01
Tallahassee, FL 32399-1050
'I have stated my 'opinions' above about the charactor of these companies, and the lack of professional and ethical courtesies...
I am entitled by law to state my opinions...
There is a 'fine' line between bill collecting and 'harrassment'...
I believe that the state of Texas will soon fine the daylights out of these companies, or revoke their licenses... Heads will roll...
The federal government will fine them as well for violation of the federal law...
I hope this helps, and do not let them get away with it by doing nothing... - anthony800 service

- AnnHARRASING CALLS MONDAY THROUGH SUNDAY 6AM TO 10PM
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Charlene replies to CHARLOTTEThey bought HSBC car financing.
- RooskiThis number claims to be Santander the largest bank in the world. After they told me they could find anything even if it is unlisted, they were unable to find my name or phone nber in their system. They did say they could verify my acct info with social security nber. Makes me think it is a scam. They claim ti have bought out Drive Financial and HBSC. They claim to be bigger than Wells Fargo, whatever the hell that is supposed to mean. She finally said they must be doing a skip trace on someone else.
- Caller: Santander
- Call type: Debt collector
- Santander replies to EricSantander recently took over payments and receivables for HSBC bank regarding Auto payments,HSBC discontinued Auto loans nearly 1 yr ago.All HSBC car loans now route through Santander at the above customer service Number.
- brundleflyThey keep calling asking for a lady we have never heard of. They ask for my wife to have her contact them. Smells like a scam to me.
- Caller: Santander
- RobertWhy are these people calling my prvt number asking for someone that doesn't live at the number they are calling
- Sick of Santander replies to Patricia Folks-McPhailGood Job not falling for the fresh start with them.... I did and I got screwed even worse in the end!!! I hate this company
- Me replies to hollyIt's not a scam. You're right, it is Drive Financial which is a auto finance company geared towards people with bad credit who need a car loan. If they have your number it's probably because you applied for an auto loan or were listed as a reference for someone else's auto loan.
And regardless of whether it is this company or any other, you shouldn't make it a habit of providing your social security number or any other financial or personal information to anyone unless you know who you are talking to.
