    Not Verizon Customer
This call is from Verizon and I have no idea why they call me as I don't have Verizon and never have. I called it back and was instructed to enter my number or account number. I did neither and just hung up.

    Die [***] Die
It's Verizon calling about my FiOS bill being late.

We upgraded our service several months ago and these MORONS never sent the new equipment and when we ordered it turned off out multi-room DVR because it's different on the new equipment. Despite MULTIPLE calls to them trying to resolve this they wouldn't fix it (this went on several months).  They even agreed to remove the charges for multi-room DVR for the months in question but never did.

Finally my wife started sending the bill without the extra charges for service we weren't getting for the 4 months and they fixed the multi-room DVR service but we have yet to receive the new equipment and they never removed the charges for SERVICE WE DIDN'T RECEIVE FOR 4 MONTHS from our bill.

Looks like Verizon won't be paid at all soon.

When you do get a human they're useless, either not knowing anything at all or lying to you to get you off the phone.

Verizon is the most useless buch of idiots on the planet and they pay NO taxes at all, thanks to the idiot republicans.

    Former Verizon employee
People, this is NOT A SCAM. It is an automated reminder regarding a bill which is soon due. Yes, it's a PITA (pain in the as*) that the LARGEST telecommunications company in the United States does not identify themselves on the CALLER ID which they get big money from us.

Unfortunately, when calling Verizon, you do not get a Verizon employee. You get a low-paid, poorly trained person of a telemarketing call center who is concerned about going home. I had to call regarding a service on a Saturday afternoon, and as an sales and service consultant, I asked various questions which we all knew from our training, but she was unable to reply properly.

If you have a problem, don't call the number that they give, but call the number on your bill and you have better chances of getting a real employee, properly training initially, and with continued training throughout our careers. If you don't get satisfaction, ask for a supervisor. Perhaps those subcontractor employee will say there aren't any around. BULLSH*T At the real Verizon company, there is always a supervisor available. If you don't get satisfaction then, you can file a complaint at the Executive Office, and tat should get results.

Verizon Communications is a typical corporation, concerned more with the bottom line than the customers and the employees who are the ones who get the revenue. But employees and retirees get screwed constantly with increased drug costs, medical co-pays, etc. That is the thanks for helping to build the company over the years.

Also note, Verizon Communications and Verizon Wireless are TWO separate operations. VZ Wireless is only partially owned by Verizon. It is a joint venture with some company in Europe. There was talk that it would be bought out, but I'm not sure if that happened.

I am a verizon customer, and they do call to say your bill is late, BUT THIS IS NOT THEIR NUMBER.  I have had my credit card info leaked through verizon before and had to cancell my cards.

I recently canceled my verizon service because of all this and i am still getting calls from this FAKE verizon number asking for payment

The Message sound just like Verizon, even the letter sent to me with the bill. I called the number however they just wanted me to pay the bill over the phone and I could not reach customer service.  I then called and was told by the Verizon representative that it was not them and it was a SCAM.
