- AmyYeah I'm confident this is a scam. 1 our house phone number is the listed contact # for our bill plan. 2 I'm not the person who's name is on the bill so they shouldn't be contacting me. 3 I checked the app and it was paid in full yesterday. Don't fall for this scam it's stupid and it can be reported to the government as well.
- tazman replies to skidI also get this recorded message claiming to be Verizon, I am on a prepaid plan with verizon and about 4 days after paying my bill I started getting this call claiming that I need to pay my FiOS bill, I do not know what FiOS is I have never had it and really don't care what it is, this call is a scam I checked online and my bill is paid up to date on time every month and my phone works great everyday. The people posting on here claiming that it is Verizon letting them know that their bill is behind are the scammers posting those messages.
- VJI have Verizon FiOS for my landlines. I made a payment on that account today... but just a couple of hours ago they called my CELL PHONE (which is not Verizon) to poke me about the account. The automated system never told me which account they were calling about, but they did ask if I was an authorized user of "this account"? How the heck do I know if they don't tell me which account? I only knew what they were talking about by the amount they mentioned. Someone really needs to overhaul their system. I finally went in and deleted my cell phone number from my profile, but it's probably also in the "bug-em" system.
- Caller: Verizon
- Call type: Debt collector
- Charlie_in_WVThis number keeps calling my cellphone stating that my Verizon FIOS will have an interruption and if I haven't paid my bill that I can call *** *** **** and pay over the phone.
Very official sounding and believable EXCEPT I'm in an area of WV where there is no Verizon landlines and I don't have FIOS (although I wish I did) so this has to be a scam.- Caller: scammer
- Verizon customerIt was Verizon confirming my payment arrangement amount and date the day before it is scheduled. This number was not a fake call in my situation.
- Caller: Verizon
- Call type: Event reminder
- Verizon customerThey call a lot and send emails to "grade" how the last recent call was handled (SURVEY). I asked them not to call or email me for my "input" any longer. I do not have time, nor do I remember conversations I had one, two or three days ago with a Verizon representative!!! I thought that they RECORDED all of the customer calls so that they can evaluate them within the company!!! I cannot understand why they want to waste our time with that!!! Now that annoys me and to me it looks like they cannot determine that on their own. CONFUSING!!!
- Caller: Verizon
- Call type: Survey
- Verizon customerP.S.: Why do they need to call and REMIND me about my payment? How dumb! I do have to say that I fully appreciate them making payment arrangements with me on the bill, but a REMINDER call??? The company is obviously making too much money to invest in annoying ROBO calls!!! Gee if we cannot make our own notes of what we paid and when, that should be our problem, not theirs. It is our responsibility to make sure WE REMEMBERED the payment, geeeeeeeee!!!
- Caller: Verizon

- HongThis number called on my cell frequently to threaten to interrupt my Fio services from Verizon ...
- Caller: Verizon
- susiesaid they were Verizon and I did not pay my last bill. I looked up my records and called Verizon and not the number the caller gave me. Verizon said it was a scam. I did not owe anything, which I knew.
- LKPI have received phone calls each day since Saturday. It is Verizon and yes I do owe them for this month and told them a couple a weeks ago they will have their payment by the end of the month. Calling me isn't going to enable me to pay them faster!
- Caller: verizon
- GSMThey call FREQUENTLY & NUMEROUS times. No one answers. No VM is left. I owe Verizon? one bill. Is this Verizon or a third party calling on their behalf?
- DeeThis number called and left some automated message claiming to be Verizon. The message said that it was calling concerning a letter I should have received due to a scheduled "interruption" for my Verizon account. Said that I should call the number back, or I should call some other 888 number for tech support. This is definitely not Verizon calling. It's a blatant scam. They will want you to give them account information, and maybe even bank information. Do not fall for this. Just block the number and ignore it anytime it calls. Verizon's customer service numbers are all 1-800 numbers with only one tech support number being a 1-866 number. There have also been scammers trying to call to claim that they were my bank without a legit phone number as well. Not falling for it. Any concerns you have with Verizon, call their legitimate numbers on their official website. If it is really Verizon, it would state it on your caller ID instead of "Unavailable" WITH the correct number.
- Caller: IT IS NOT VERIZON. This is a scam!
- John P.Wife got call on her cell saying it was Verizon and bill was past due, but I knew it wasn't. Called # back, sounded just like Verizon message. Did give them home phone # and zip, both easily available anyway. Said bill was paid in full, I disconnected after that. Also checked with bank and Verizon online for separate wireless and Fios bills, both were up to date.
- Caller: Verizon?
- A. Sligh| 1 replyI've been receiving these calls for months. I decided to call Verizon and inquire and was told they were not responsible for this. My account is paid in full and I should ignore calls from this number. VERIZON IS NOT CALLING ME some scam artist is.
- Caller: Verizon
- A. Sligh replies to A. SlighThe Verizon operator even investigated the origination of the number n found it was assigned to many others things as well. JUST DONT ANSWER
- CaliforniavvI used to have Verizon, and recently switched. I'm reading the comments and I'm thinking this might be a bit suspicious. They have no reason to be contacting me and the recording claims it is from Verizon, but then why are they asking me to input my phone number? When I called them back the outgoing message doesn't even say it's Verizon ... it lets you know later in the message. I think it's suspicious.
- Caller: Supposedly Verizon
- someonethis number is wired to someone who is a prank caller
- Call type: Prank
- PattyReceived a voicemail claiming to be Verizon with an urgent message regarding a letter concerning your FIOS account. It went on to say your FIOS account is scheduled for interruption and to go online to Verizon.com/payonline to pay your account bill. This is a SCAM! My account was Paid In Full a week prior to this phone call. I confirmed with the bank payment was cleared! Please beware......
- kathymissed a payment on my Verizon bill. I don't have any phones from Verizon. They need to get facts straight.
- Caller: Verizon
- Call type: Debt collector
- Sallysaid they were from verizon and my payment was late and they could take over the phone. Landline payment was not delinquent and don't use verizon for cell. SHADY.
