I got the call. Didn’t answer and they left no message of course. I read the comments here about it the number being from Verizon about a late payment. Saw one comment that stated it’s not a scam and is for a payment. If that’s true then why are they calling me! I don’t even use Verizon. My guess is that it is a scam so I would use extreme caution in giving these callers any account info. Just my two cents on this.

This is a Scam to get info from you. They claim to be Verizon and state you owe a bill.
Do NOT gie than ANY info.

Message left in Spanish telling me to press a key to speak to someone in Spanish presumably.

Phone call on cell phone, with just the number showing as ID. Since I sometimes get calls from my daughter's teachers from various "office phones", I had to answer. I said "hello", and it just hung up on me. So I blocked it. If it was legitimate, they'd answer...not hang up on me.

Its verizon customer service. Late payments for cell or cable... new offers.... Sometimes just to see if I am happy with my cable and internet, and want a better deal for a longer contract.....

THIS IS BOGUS! WAIT TILL THE WEEK (if they called on weekend) AND CALL DIRECTLY TO # ON YOUR BILL-- OR GO ONLINE TO VERIZON.COM--- DO NOT GIVE ANY INFO TO THIS CALL---!! SCAM!!!

 This call IS NOT from Verizon!  It's a phising scam.  They even called my Tracfone to tell me I had missed a payment and my contract might be canceled. I buy prepaid cards.  LOL!    I dialed 0 on my house phone to get the Verizon business office.  There was nothing wrong with my account and I did not miss a payment.  They said they have been getting a lot of complaints about these calls.

Tells me to check the status of my account I am told it's verizon

You would think a big company like that would train their people better.

Let’s not be so gullible so as to think these scammers are really VERIZON®. They’re not. They’re illegal and expertly fraudulent.
