- AngieThis is a valid call from Verizon, they leave a message regarding the payment arrangement I made with them that is due tomorrow. This is not a scam. They state there is no reason to call back unless you are changing your payment arrangement.
- Caller: Verizon Cable
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Sickofthishit*SCAM* They called my landline which is, in fact, Verizon, but the robo Verizon chick sounded just a little off to me, so I used my cell to record the call while on speaker... it never gave me ANY specifics about my "past due" acct... which was up to date I paid the bill in full 3 days prior... but I opted for #4 and it gave me a po box in Trenton nj to send payment to. I hung up, and called the number immediately back (ON MY VERIZON LANDLINE) . Ishmael answered, didn't know my number, so i gave them my dead mother's COX number, and her deceased best friends name.. he in turn gave me an amt to pay... and a completely different address in Paramus nj to send payment to.. i live in VA.... they are very convincing to the unsuspecting. He was American... and very polite.

- SlowChurnGirlI got a call from this number. When I called back it was a computer recording wanting to discuss my phone bill. I do not now and have never had Verizon as a cell phone provider. Oddly, I also get frequent emails from them about my cell phone account. When I call and try to discuss their error with them they hang up.

- FYI from meI ignore- verizon can email you to call, they can send a letter. I have auto pay for all of my verizon accts. - unless my credit card would somehow be cancelled (and I pay that in full every monty) Verizon gets paid. No one should ever believe anything from a phone call - at least don't believe that another call will fix the problem. Ask them to send you a letter to the account address they have on file so that you have it in writing as you may need to forward to your attorney.....

- LindaCalls has constantly leaves no messages once it true stop
- Pittsburgh Scam GurusATTN: We just spoke with Verizon Wireless & they have confirmed that this number is scammers/fraudsters pretending to be Verizon. They will leave a very realistic-sounding message advising you to call back about the status of your account, in the attempt to get sensitive info. Verizon's Fraud Department is already aware of the situation.

- SSI got the call. Didn’t answer and they left no message of course. I read the comments here. Saw one comment that stated it’s not a scam and is for a payment. If that’s true then why are they calling me! I don’t even use Verizon. My guess is that it a scam and I would use extreme caution in giving these callers any account info. Just my two cents on this.
