Something isn't quite right because they now called at 8:30AM-not good.  I have helped the Federal Trade Commission with many scams etc.  if you keep getting bothered try them.  Plus, any of them can high jack a legitimate caller ID name.

Called again around 8 AM and woke my family up. Person on Lupus end said legal to call before 9 AM. Apologized and put me on DNC list. LUPUS FOUNDATION - WAKE UP!!! YOUR FORMER DONORS ARE NOW ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST BECAUSE YOU DIDNT LISTEN WHEN THEY ASKED NOT TO BE CALLED SO EARLY IN THE MORNING.

I agree Janie, I consider them nothing more than annoying telemarketers because of the constant hang-up calls. I wowld never give to an organization that operates like they do.

There are a small number of legit calls from "888" numbers but in that case they will leave a message on the answering machine.

Thank you all for your detective work. I was going to block this caller, but after you said that it's the Lupus Foundation, I decided to call them back to schedule a pickip because I am spring cleaning. They are an excellent charity and have a top rating with the Better Business Bureau. They are pretty transparent — funding actually goes to programming and research that supports persons with lupus, a truly frightening auto-immune disease. Until I read  your reviews, I had no idea that they made an inappropriate number of calls. In they past, they have called about two weeks before pickups in the area, which seem to happen quarterly in New York City.

Seriously???   8:12am?   I made the mistake of donating clothes to the Lupus Foundation. Now I am CONSTANTLY harassed with phone calls every single day!!  All times of the day!!  LEAVE A FREAKIN MESSAGE!!!  If I have clothes to donate, I would call you back. This morning's call on my one day off broke the camel's back. I blocked them and will find another organization to donate to.

I am adding to this post that I posted almost two months ago.  Lupus Foundation continues to call me every single day.  At least once.  Often twice a day. They call from two different phone numbers.  One is a local number, the other is from this 888 number.  You would think someone from Lupus would be aware of all the unhappy people that are fed up with their calls.  Some like myself, donated at least twice a year.  As stated in previous post, I have blocked them but it is still so annoying to be called daily by them.  I will never donate to them again.

The most annoying call group.  This is "lupus" been calling twice /4x a day.  I have blocked the number and then they try another number.  I guess they don't get that no means No!  Please stop this nonsense.

It's Lupus Foundation Pick-Up Service trying to schedule donated clothing pick up. I called them back and asked that they take me off their call list. Let's see if that happens.
