- Jeremy R replies to Tom| 3 repliesI received a strange call from this number a week or so ago. When I followed the promt and was redirected to a real human being I found out that they are trying to provide timeshare owners with a way out of their maintenance fees. I do not own and have never owned a timeshare so they seem to have some misguided efforts, did not seem like a scam though as they offered to set me up with an in-person meeting, something I can't imagine any scammer would do. . .
- Linda from Iowa replies to Jeremy R| 1 replyWhat better way to high pressure "sell" you a way to get rid of your Timeshare than in person. Beware all Timeshare companies are basically out to charge you up front to sell your Timeshare. I would give mine away and even charities won't take it unless you keep paying the maintenance fees and don't use them until and "if" it ever gets sold. I have checked MANY of these and haven't found a legit one yet. If someone knows one post it on here.

- Roger| 6 repliesI got the same letter with a different phone number, 888-472-9565. I also have been called numerous times and have started telling them I have sold the timeshare and they take me off their list. I rarely get a call now.
- Mr. W replies to susan| 1 replyI have received the same letter and yes it's a scam I have paid over $2000.00 to get my timeshare sold. It's not easy to sell a timeshare. The phone # on this is 888-472-9565. The address used is the same as mentioned by the other writers
- kayI received a letter today, April 9, 2012, however the ph number is different than all those listed above. The # is 1-888-851-6408 same address though.

- hesrnI received this notice (same mailing address only suite #306, not #308) in San Diego."Available to a select group of owners and we encourage you to call between May 1st and 16, 2012 to qualify." The phone number was 888-461-7165 and after 3 rings it rolled over to recorded message to the number 619-888-4617. 619 is a local area code and 4617 are the first four numbers in the 888-461-7165. I get these letters several times a year and I do own a timeshare. I just figured they get names and addresses from public records for property owners from the Internet and usually just throw this kind of mail away. My timeshare provides services to assist owners that want to rent and/or sell or even to use another location within the system. It's disturbing that there are so many scams operating under such skilled sheepish lures just in wait for the poor innocent that falls for their scam. Don't ever do anything without investigating the company well, very well. That's how I stumbled onto this site after searching "Resort Owners Association Orlando, FL" Thank you all for making this information available.

- tono| 2 repliesjust received this letter today with (888)461-7165 number. do NOT do business with them. i almost got duped from a similar business called Timeshare by Owner. one day she asked me for $2500 to list my timeshare; she said she could rent it for $2500 a week. she said there were inquiries to similar properties, so it's very likely that it would be rented soon especially since she knows that large groups like to rent out multiple vacation properties. google it - hundreds of complaints for bad business practice.
- R. Shimo| 3 repliesI just received a letter today from Resort Owners Association w/ exact verbiage, "....notice...courtesy only. For a limited time,...only available to a select group of owners....". Called (888)461-7165, spoke to a Ms. Kiana to arrange an appointment in my area - Honolulu, Hawaii. How convenient that Mr. Chuck Anderson will be @ the Double Tree Hotel on 5/22 & 5/23 for an appointment??? I'm having doubts about meeting this person, looking at previous posts & the type of letter head & information that it lacks in it. I also have an email confirmation pending with my timeshare to investigate.

- Mike replies to Walter GonzalezBeing nice is not enough, I called them and they were just appointment setters, so the bottom line is they are either trying to by your time share for pennies on the dollar or help you rent it to someone of whom you know nothing about. If they tare it up it will cost you more in the long run.
- Mike replies to Jeremy RIt is only a scam if you give them any money. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY MONEY $$$$$
- Lynn replies to R.
