Resort Notification Department SCAMS replies to Tom
It seems the scammers have moved to Ste C # 306 and changed their number to 888-558-3184. Set up an auto dialer to call that number 24/7 till they quit calling us.  Hope you have better luck blocking them than previous writers.

Walter, it is great to stay positive, but when they have been told we do not own time shares, and ask to be removed from their calling let. Now we get letters in the mail stating we owe them cash. This company is trying to scam Us.

I receioved the same letter a few days ago.  I note the last post was March 19.  has anyone actually met with these people personally?  If so, can you relate their program?
No one is going to do anything related to timeshare disposition unless tehy are paid.  I met with GW Groupwise 5/20.  They will "consult" to get your timeshare "moved" for a fee, in my  case of $4,500.  Supossedly, my credit card statemetn would be held in escrow for a time, but they make no guarantee that the title will transfer or when.  In the meantime, they say they pay all maintenance fees and we can still utilize theimeshare.

Very, Very unlikely.  They would not let me take the "legal" documents to review.  Theirs was one of the better programs, and had they truly escrow the money until they had "packaged" my unit and transferred title, i would have done it.  This is relaay the only way to dispose of a timeshare unless you know someone who will take it over free.

Received the same notice today supposedly sent to as a courtesy only.  For a limited time, one could participate in this program that may eliminate maintenance fees for timeshare owners.  It encouraged a call between May 28th and June 13th to qualify.  Phone:  888 772-7498.  This is a scam.  It is the same address as everyone else has 3208 East Colonail Drive Ste C, #306, Orlando, FL 32803.

The phone number on my letter was slightly different (888-772-7498) but it's the same company. I just wasted more than half an hour setting up an appointment to meet a representative of Resort Owners Association to discuss an offer to possibly eliminate maintenance fees for my timeshare. Surprise! I qualified. I was dubious from the start but thought I would pursue it since the meeting place was close to my house. Then I read all the negative comments on this website and decided to cancel. I phoned and spent another five minutes telling someone why I no longer was interested. I nearly had to hang up on him while he tried to convince me the comments were from a few disgruntled people. He said his company had helped more than 75,000 timeshare owners eliminate their maintenance fees. And on and on... I'm 82 years old, a retired Los Angeles Times journalist and certainly not naive. Without knowing any more than I do now, I doubt it's a scam, but do believe it's sneaky way of doing business. The letter I received stated it was sent to me "as a courtesy only" and is being offered "for a limited time...available to a select group of owners." Too bad some people will be duped into believing all of that. All I can say is beware before signing anything.

We just got the same letter.  The phone number was 888 772-7498.   Someone must be doing business with them for them to keep this up.  So many scams, the internet saves wishful thinkers for them!

The number on my letter from the very common name of Resort Owners Association is (888) 807-9705.  I called the number- wait time -1 minute. They apparently "help" you eliminate your fees by getting you "out of your timeshare".  They won't tell you if there is an upfront fee on the phone.  they want to meet with you only if you want to "sell" your timeshare because they don't rent timeshares. Hmm.

Got the same letter as did a friend.  We had a good laugh together.  Mine went recycling his to the shredder.  Have not received a phone call yet but I don't numbers, especially toll free ones, that I don't recognize.  Somebody must be using them but I don't understand so many different phone numbers which definitely says scam to me.

Just received a letter with yet another phone number - 888 742-4291.  When will the Attorney General in Florida shut these places down.  My mother has been trying to sell her timeshare and we can't get the calls to stop.  I have had to get back her "upfront" fee twice!  Of course they all say they are different, but they are not.  I agree with some of the other posts that it is best to rent it yourself.

I got this same letter and I knew it was going to be too good not to be a scam.
The phone number on my letter is 888-807-9705 but it has the same return address as everyone has listed above.
I am desperately looking to get rid of my timeshare because I just cannot afford to pay the annual fees that rise every year.  I would love to hear from anyone who has successfully sold or gave away their timeshare.  Mine is deeded for life and I don't want my son to have to inherit it.

Just received a letter from this company as well, although they are now using a different phone number 866-396-4025.  The address is the same as everyone else has mentioned.
I believe it is a scam, as we don't own any timeshares in Orlando.

You are the first post to have the same phone #888-841=2378, and name, Resort Notification Department; and same address. I have a feeling they are calling too, yet, they use a different phone number. The letter has a Owner ID# filled in on the form...even though I've never owned a timeshare. This is a scam. How do we stop this illegal activity!

I have used VPBO.com and have rented many timeshares. I owne a so called time share worth 84.000 points thru Wyndum. It is not even enough point to get a week at one of there resorts unless I want to go to the middle of no where in January. Do not pay anyone to sell your timeshare. they will tell you they can sell it for $15,000.00 but you can go on web sites and by them for $2000. to $5000.00 from owners who want to dump them.

It depends on whay you have. Is it a week at the same place the same time of the year. Or is it just points? You can list them on criags list. Do not pay some company to sell them for a fee.
