Don't list with any agency that asks for money up front. No reputable real estate agent does.  You might consider listing on ebay.

They should know any owners id # and current mainentance fees already, plus it would come directly from your association board.

I received the same letter.  Same address,  I learned the hard way to always check out anything or anyone who wants to sell my timeshare!

Also different contact Phone Number 966-981-7580.  Another Florida firm trying to make bucks off timeshare owners.

Received the same letter today.  It is a SCAM!  The Phone Number on my letter is (866) 981-7590.  Reverse look-ups of this number indicate no record for the number or (Big Surprise) that it's a toll free number.  There are very few legit time share re-sellers or listing agents.  Even the legit ones charge a fee that is sometimes outrageously high.  Your best bet is to work with your Time Share company to rent or sell your Time Share.

No phone call this time.  Just a letter.  This phone number is (866) 981-7590.  Just one of many the outfit has been using.  No BBB recognition.  No listing for the numbers on reverse look-ups.  There "oughta be a law"!

I have received the same letter with the telephone number 866-981-7590 yesterday. This definitely a scam and should be reported to the Dept. of Agriculture web site for the state of Florida. Follw the
links and it will take you to the complaint office. There you will be able to give the information that you received and they will investigate. There are all types of scams that are all too frequent in the state of Florida. Don't fall victim to their prey.

I got a letter from them today.  Probably a scam, or maybe they'll rent it out for you, but if they ask for a marketing fee up front forget it!  Their address is listed as 3208 East Colonial Dr., Suite C, #306, Orlando 32803.  Phone is also different, and listed as 866-981-7590.

My postman might be slower - but I received the same letter today June 25th. Same phone number (866)981-7590, address, etc. Having just completed reading four pages of everyone's comments I wish to express my thanks for your inputs and thus 'saving me' from an emotional pull to make a call. What a problem to try to get rid of a TS.

I got this letter today from Resort Owners Association with an address at  3208 East Colonial Drive Ste C, # 306  Orlando, FL  32803. and the letter says:

"This Notice was sent to you as a courtesy only. For a limited time, you may participate in this program that may eliminate maintenance fees for timeshare owners. This is only available to a select group of owners and we encourage you to call between June 15 to July 11, 2012 to qualify.

They give a phone number of 877 502-5166"

We lost $2,000 for to scams like this that promise time share owners hopes of selling their time shares.  Please do research first and lesson learned - do not give money outright or if they ask for money first, it is most likely a scam..

Got the same letter today 6/29/2012.  3208 E Colonial Drive Ste C #306, Orlando FL 32803. 877-502-5166.  Don't send your money. or call them.  Of course they sound nice people who want your money always sound nice.

My resort has a rental program but it has a 30% fee plus all miscellaneous charges such as credit card fees and travel agent fees.  I would love to find someone who would help me rent mine for a reasonable fee.  The later I have was sent to someone I know who doesn't have a timeshare.  I'm tempted to call to see what they say.  I am extremely leery of this though.  It definitely looks like a scam letter.

Yep, there are a lot of these "services" that offer (and even guarantee) to rent your timeshare for big fees, but all they do is post them on a website that nobody looks at, and they make no real effort to market.  I got taken by one, and now put my add on craisglist, which is cheaper.

I've gotten these letters for quite a few years...and they all want money up front, they are all different from the others, and they all promise you great return on your fee.  

The odd thing is these letters and postcards have been sent to my husband who is not on the deed for my timeshare points.  How do they get his name?

I got the same letter and inquired about what it was all about. I wish I knew then what I know now about them. For ANYBODY out there that may STILL have a timeshare, lots of luck trying to get rid of it. I have been trying for sometime so I guess I am one of the few people contacted who actually have a timeshare and it's all the same with all of these timeshare resellers or whatever name they may want to call themselves. RESORT OWNERS ASSOCIATION is NO DIFFERENT than any of the others who expect you to pay them a fee to "take it off your hands". There is NO WAY in HELL that I am paying anyone money to obtain something that I paid for and get nothing for it. The above mentioned company is a SCAM...BIG TIME.
