- G VScotiabank telemarketers continue to call despite 3 requests to have my number removed from their autodialer/list. I also reported this to DNC websites only to get the same result. They have assured themselves that I will never be a client of theirs since they cannot even fulfill the simplest of my requests and lack the basic customer service etiquette and respect to be worthy of of my patronage.

- JimGot back to back calls from this number today, immediately searched for the number, as always, this site popped up.
I have called Scotiabank to have my name removed from their call list, and they say it will take 2 months. If I continue to receive calls, I will close my account. I'm not interested in their poopy scene points, and their service isn't really that great anyways.- Caller: Scotiabank

- Rick| 1 replyThis number calls me several times per week! So I read this nonsense that it is Scotiabank, and tried calling it back. It really is Scotiabank. OMG. I have an account there, and there is no reason for them to pester me. So I called the Branch I deal with, and these turkeys deny that they are calling me... sorry sir, we have no record of that. What a useless bank. Time to close that account. It is mindless harassment... the are also constantly sending me paper mail (several times per month) to encourage run up a big "line of credit" on my Visa card (which I rarely use and always pay off), and they have ignored my requests to stop sending this paper...

- Jorge replies to Rickyou should go by your latin name. it suits you more. if you don't know it, google it.
- KrisThese clowns started calling me once again in the new year. The last time they were calling all the time I lost it and yelled at them over the phone saying put me on your do not call list. What a scan and a joke.

- Dude in T BayHad this toll free number call me last night (7:35 pm). I Didn't get to it in time but saw number on cell phone display. I would have deemed it important but when no message left thought different. Looked up number on line and here's what I discovered. If it is Scotia bank I guess they prefer I stay with my existing bank. Hope they don't call again especially when it's my work phone they're trying to sell me on.
- Caller: Not sure
- Don SwayzeThese jokers keep calling me, same as everyone else here by the looks of it. Several times a day, every day of the week. Not a Scotiabank customer and have told them repeatedly to leave me alone. Filed a complaint for the number on the do not call list and apparently nothing is done. Think I'll do what my buddy does when telemarketers pester him and blow a whistle into the phone. You'd be surprised how reluctant people are to call back for more of that.

- Infuriating...and BC Tel won't block the number because, they say, the number belongs to a legitimate business. (Evidently, if it was a harrassing call from and individual, they could block, but big business isn't subject to the same rules.) People have been posting about annoying BNS calls on this blog sind 2007 - over 4 years and nothing has changed. Another poster mentioned he'd set up the number to be forwarded to another telemarketer - which sounds like fun but I don't quite see how you'd do that. Basically, I suggest everybody contact BNS to complain about this irritation and act promptly on taking your banking business elsewhere. ING is great. Local credit unions even better.

- bob replies to Uncle Crackerseriously? read the posts. moron.
- Pati get these calls daily , even weekends. and no, i won't and don't deal with scotiabank.
- JudyI did as a few others have done and just accepted the credit card offer. After I did this the calls stopped immediately. I have not decided if I should keep the card or just cut it up, but I suppose it is always good to have an extra credit card just in case. So maybe some of you should do the same thing and just accept the card since they are unlikely to stop calling unless you do. I know it seems like blackmail.. but what can you do :(
