This number calls all the time it's so annoying

socia bank keeps bothering me. I don't like their way, will never pick up phone.

Why do u guys answer the phone to unknown callers???? God don't pick up and avoid the hassle.....All u do is pick up and stress yourselves more use ur brain!

called 6 times usually twice a month. didn't answer no message left.  I have never done business with scotia bank but i do have a scene card, calls started around the time I redeemed my points for a movie.

This is Scotiabank. They call me twice a day or at least once, but everyday including weekends. I signed up for a free Scene card for Cineplex (collect points to get free movies, concession, etc). I answered the call and they wanted to set me up with a Scotiabank/Scene credit card which was pre-approved. I don't bank with Scotiabank but you have to watch when you sign up for customer benefit cards, they are usually associated with some sort of credit card as well. Your info is passed along to that bank and they will call you to sign you up for their credit card. Same thing with Shoppers Drug Mart, Airmiles, Aeroplan and several others.
I politely declined the card last week but they are still calling everyday.

They call every week, I am usually not at home. I do not have any services with scotiabank except for a scene card. I called scotiabank to ask to be removed from their telemarketing list; they told me they could not identify me because I don't have a debit/credit card with them. They said it's best to call the scene card company, I did and they told me they can't help me either or go into a scotiabank branch.

This does not make any sense to me. Can someone please give some pointers on how to stop these people from calling. It's really annoying.

Scotia bank? I call B.S. Call center owners have been known to steal the contact lists. If the 'from name' does not say scotia bank then its a scammer. 'From name' can also be spoofed.

It happens so much and the police refuse to spend any time to investigate and arrest these people under harassment charges.

You may call 'no way man' on this, but for an undocumented personal number to be hit repeatedly in one week from multiple sources is a bit to convenient.
