Turn your phones OFF at night!!  Land-lines AND cell phones.  These are machine generated WAR-Dialing calls and they are simply "harvesting" live numbers and Fax lines for telemarketing and junk faxes.  The harvested lists of "live numbers" are sold.  Also....with the advent of new technologies, Caller I.D. is now vertually useless. Don't answer them.  Don't call back.  Don't try to investigate as it is a waste of time.

I received an 888-888-8888 call today with a recording saying they are a debt collector. I have no debt certainly not past due. When you call back, the nubmer is out of service.

i have been getting these calls for the past few weeks at around 4:15am.. caller id says alliance carpet.. and when you call back its a busy signal.. how do you get this to end.. it is very disturbing to be awoken this way. thinking something has happended to a family member with a call so early in the morning.. then my day is shot because i can't get back to sleep

I have been getting calls from this number and called at&t to complain and they claimed they never heard of it and offered no advise. There has to be some way to complain about this number. Mayby the Il. Attorney General should look into this.

What this is, is when your phone company does not transfer the call correctly the number registers as 888 888 8888

I got a call from 8888888888 right after a huge blow out where someone very powerful accessed all my phone records, texts, etc. I wonder if this number is a way to access information on my phone. My service tells me no... But...

Received a call in Arizona from this 1-888-888-8888 # and the rude rep on the phone stated I need to speak to the Controller or the Owner, I indicated, " I am the controller, how can I help you?" he then replied, "I need to speak to the owner" I then replied "regarding?" and he went on to say its regarding an serious investigational matter. I then transfered him to a voicemail that goes to nobody because I determined this person was crazy.

they called me yesterday at 4pm and I didnt pick up. Now they just called and its 620am !!! I picked up and they immediatlly hanged up. what is this crap???

I got a Phone Call at 12:45am from this number 8888888888 and they did not say nothing but I am sure that is a number that some people can use in order to hide their identity, we should stop this is very annoying.

I've been getting calls from this stupid number but everytime i say hello i hear alot of noise and they hang up. I've been getting like 5 calls within a minute. This has been rediculous and i've blocked their number but its still coming threw. This is stupid and should be stopped.

They have left about 3 voice mails on my phone talking bout a cruise and about a credit report which i have no creditcard and i can careless bout a cruise. This needs to be stopped.

This number is obviously spoofed by a lot of different businesses.  The number doesn't really exist.

Caller ID spoofing is commonly used by debt collectors, con artists, scams, stalkers, and pranks.  It isn't even hard to do.  There are services that will easily allow you to spoof any number you want for free or cheap.

I got phonecalls from this number. mostly at night, 2am, 7am

came in at 4:46 a.m. as some others reported. Only happend once,but did spoil my sleep which is tenuous at best. As long as it doesn't happen again, i'm cool, i guess, but it scared me.

ok this wasnt a call it was a txt saying nothing but random letters and numbers it said somthng close to //wmoae7o and i can remember the rest if any 1 else has gotten a txt please put it on here

I got 3 hang-ups last night from this number at 2, 215,230 am. I am not happy about it.

This 888-888-8888 number called my cell phone at 115am this morning. I answered it like a [***]. There was no background noise and the call was disconnected on their end after I said "hello". I cant help but wonder if I had to answer in order for them to retrieve any information from my cell phone, not that there is anything good on it, I have just heard of these things before. I dont know why I answered it. This is obviously a "spoofed" number, I did not call it back. a holes.

They have called twice every day for the past five days. 2 a.m. on each day. No messages left if I don't answer & just silence if I do.
