Got a call at work from these people saying it was Discover.  She explained that they were just going to be sending me information about Discover and needed to record part of our convo to confirm w her boss that I agreed to have it mailed to our address and that we wouldn't be charged for anything... I just needed to agree when she started recording

Once she started recording, she started saying how we'd agreed to an upgrade in our credit card machine and told me I just needed to say yes!  I hung up.

this number calls the business i work at and asks to speak to the owner and he will wait for me to get them on the phone,,i just hang up on them,they call 5-10 times a day

Hi! This number, +88 88 88 88 88, is also operating in Norway. I just got some calls from them, but never answered. The local newspaper had a report about this subject earlier and the content told us about BIG SCAM. Its a group of cyber calls that point out the average joe to pay for other world wide calls. Works like this: You get called from +88 88...... If you answer, another people can call world wide on your bill as long as they can keep you on the phone. They use satelites when operating with these type of scam.

So, Rule one and the one and only. NEVER ANSWER THEM! Its annoying, but thats how it is until someone can stop them or the average joe stop answering these calls.

I answered a call from this number today.  An man with a thick asian accent called Tom told me that they are a company which helps people reduce the amount of their household bills (I couldnt catch the name, but it didnt sound very familiar).  Told me my landline numnber and address, both of which were wrong (I dont even have a land line).  He then asked for my address.  When I refussed saying that I didn't know where he was calling from, he repeated the same speil about reducing bills.  When I told him I wasnt interested, he just hung up, not even a good bye.

I wouldnt trust this number at all.  It seems to have a lot of alias's to get people's personal information from people.

these people have called me the past few days. originally I did not answer the phone, but today I was frustrated and answered it. A guy started to go into a spiel and even asked for me by name and I just said "YOU HAVE THE WRONG NUMBER" (yes I was pretty angry), and hung up.

I found this website afterwards when I started researching what this number was about.

When I called my phone company, they claimed that they could not do anything about my problem.

My phone has been on the "do not call" registry for awhile, so I went back to their website and filed a complaint. I hope something is done soon.

This number calls twice a day. I never answer it, but it is a unusal number. sometime at 2 or 3 in the morning.

My caller ID recorded a call from 888-888-8888 yesterday at 4:44 p.m. I never answer anonymous calls because it's just the usual perverts trying to sell illegal drugs or worthless warranties or credit card scams or whatever.

I know it's not a company I do business with because they all identify themselves on Caller ID and I've been on the DNC list for years.

If I'm at home I just pick up the phone and then immediately hang up. If nothing else, I don't have to listen to the perverts' spiel!

I get calls all the time from this number when you answer it's just music, the thing to do is keep leaving it off the hook and cost em money. They will realise eventually.

Call Federal Trade and register your number on their do not call list. After you call, all telemarketers have 31 days to take you off their list, if they don't you are then able to file a complaint against the company.

been receiving these 888-888-8888 calls quite often. I let it go to the answering machine and of course nobody's there even when answering the call.

Who ever they are, they have been calling my #. Is there anything that be done to stop it.

I am the Receptionist at my company. The digital readout said, "Alliance Carpet," and asked for the owner or the comptroller, regarding "an investigation." I told her that neither party was in the office today, and she said, "Thankyou, I will call back another time." What were they investigating? Carpet fibers?

I get text messages from them every day. Like 11 to 12 a day that dont say nothing but //WMA0E7C OZMAIL CI=e1c6bb594e761e361dbe29492849d MC=1. It gets anoying cause they send them all day and night.
