someone calls me with 8888888888 number

Called me at 3:45 AM CST.... I am at work. If I had been at home and asleep I wouldv'e been pissed. From the several different reports and readings it seems to be a universal number used by a variety of telemarketers. I am having the number blocked thru my phone provider as we speak.

While I'm relieved to see I'm not the only one going thru this, I'm not relieved that we dont know who it is, how they got our number and how to make them stop. I got a call last night at 03:50 AM and tonight at 10:49 PM. I didn't answer the first time, but tonight I did and heard nothing.

Does anyone know what the next legal step is? I think if we all had a central point of contact, maybe like BBB or Federal Trade Commission we might get somewhere.

I also got a call from this number at 4:40am this morning.

they called me at 3 oclock am pissed me off

we just moved and 888.888.8888 called within 20 minutes after my land line was activated

got a weird voice mail, only the last part, about wanting to opt out, dial 8, or 9 then silence. it's an 888 # and could be anyone. sigh. hoping they dont' call at a ridiculous hour.

they keep calling me all the time more than once a day and leave no messages.  I would like for them to quit calling me

I have been getting anywhere from 1 to 10 calls a day from this number.  It is an Indian man who says his name is Richard Morgan from the National Bureau of Criminal Identification Dept. and to have my attorney or myself call him back at 510-402-6732 as soon as possible.  They end the message with 'all I can do is to wish you a nice day'.  They keep calling from different numbers with the same threatening message.  I have tried to block their calls but they just call from a new number.   I just got 8 calls in a row from 999-999-9999 and I just let them sit there and I do not say anything.  I am so tired of their messages that they leave me if they get to my voicemail.   It is the same Indian with a very thick accent.  This is total harassment and extremely sick.  It appears that they are doing it to many others.  What can be done about these horrible people????

just got 2 txts in a row from this #. something about a Email-IM App update.  deleted them without opening them

It must be the "Just Dial" number, which is like a Telephone Directory where we get all the Numbers of Organizations or Shops etc etc
