You definitely owe the money and they are a legitimate company but the way they go about collecting the money is all wrong. I used to work there and I was enraged with anger listening to some of these idiots. I had to quit because it was starting to get to me. I have worked for respectable collection agencies who followed the FDCPA word by word. I could not believe some of the things I was hearing because they are all violations of the FDCPA. The debt is valid for either a payday loan, title loan or cash advance but they can't do a damn thing to you unless they open a debtors jail and that would be over crowded just like regular jail. Believe me......NOTHING WILL HAPPEN TO YOU IF YOU DO NOT PAY.....THEY CANT SEND ANYTHING TO YOUR COUNTY.....THEY CAN'T DO ANYTHING AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You sir, are full of [***] and I won't apologize for saying so.  According to the FTC you can't threaten people or continue calling if you are told not to do so.  Mail me the facts and I'll consider it, after I've fed the kids and paid the rent.  You can't take arrest anyone, very underhanded tactics indeed.  I may have debts but your insane collection agents are probably in the same boat as most of us!

Hell no you do threaten!  Threaten with laws and things that us "deadbeats" as you call us don't have a clue about!  And whats even more crazy is that the economy sucks right now and I'm not working!  How the hell do you get off on calling us deadbeats when you don't even have the first clue about worrying about how the hell we are going to pay a debt! Don't you think that we if we had the money we'd give it to the collector just to stop these annoying calls!!!  Sorry but I have REAL issues which i'm sure that everyone else does to!  And hello people change numbers here like underwear so if the person on the other end says i'm not he or she STOP CALLING!

    Mrs. Dont mess with me
I recieved a call from them at 11:30 at night. only to be told that a check from advance america was posted in 2003 and that if it was not paid my husband would go to jail. I contacted a lawyer about it today and they said it sounds like this company is under serious violation. Not informing that it was a debt, the way they spoke was things that can not be said as a lawyer, impersonating a lawyer and so on and so on. The lawyer i spoke to took their information and he is looking into it to see how much of a violation they are in. According to him, I might have a claim against them for threats and wrongful representation of their company!

I am an innocent person wtih good credit and no outstanding debit.  I have gotten phone calls from your office frequently.  The first 3 were messages...today I answered.  The man asked for Barbara...which whom I do not recall any Barbara I informed him kindly he has the wrong number.  I have association with.  He rudely asked me a second time for Barbara and I said no Barbara lives here.  He extremely rudely asked my name...I gave it to him and then he stated "So, you claim no Barbara is there?".
I am a polite woman, mother of 5, religious, hard working and all around good kind girl.
When I stated that is correct, there is no Barbara here...he gave me a "HUMPH" and I asked who he is.  The reply was "WHY?"  and it was not a polite why, it was a yelling type.
So, my response was kindly....who are you?  He yelled "What?" and I said "You called the wrong number asking for Barbara...there is not one here, you go on hounding me about this person, you should at least be able to identify who you are to me."
Instead of a polite response stating HPC or a name he said "Yea Right." and hung up on me.

I am taking the time to write all this out, as I was so upset and curious I had to find the number to see who was calling.  I found this site...and I just have to say I do not know if ever in my 48 years I ever recieved such a rude call.  You can not verify to me that it is acceptable based on the people your company connects with.  When calling a wrong number I would expect your staff to identify themselves and be polite from beginning to end.

there are also laws that protect US...and this company VIOLATES them there are several complaints against this company..and they did not ask to VERIFY my ssn by having me give them...they GAVE me the SSN and wanted me to confim..i told them NO. that is against federal law to give out someones SSN. if you work for this company then you need to set a company wide memo to review the laws for fair debt collection etc. cause on their call to me...they broke several...threats to arrest, lies about who they were, not to mention giving out my personal info. I will never pay this company anything..IF i owe something, i will pay the orig creditor. and I hope all calls are monitored...cause my complaints w/ FCC and FTC, BBB, and atty general will want to hear them i am sure.

They have called me several times. So I called back today and told them I have reported them to the police and that they are a scam! They get your information and then try to say you have taken out a payday loan and if you dont pay them by the end of the day you will be arrested. Dont send them a dime they are a scam!! Dont let them scare you! Tell them you have reported them for harrassment to your local police department and they should leave you alone. If they keep calling file a report to the police. I did and I also filed a complaint with the FBI!!! Once I told the lady that she hung up!! Put the scare back on them SCAMMERS!!!!!

Ok, so I called AT&T (who my home phone service is through) and they told me how to stop these [***]! 1) Add call tracing to your line and TURN IT ON
    2) Make a police report with your local police department and make sure to get your report number
    3) Call the Harrasing Calls Deprtmant @ 888- 966-6222 and make a report with them. Make sure to give them your police report number
    4) Everytime the MF call you DO NOT ANSWER. Wait until the call has stopped and then call trace (for GA you have to press *57)
    5) After only 5 phone calls it becomes legaly harrassing and that is when the Harrassing Calls Dept will contact your local police department to confim it is a leagal harrassment
    6) CHANGE YOUR NUMBER and make it unlisted. AT&T informed me that b/c it is harrassing calls they will FOR FREE change my number AND FOR FREE make it unlisted.

I had my first call from this company today. They called me 4 times in a row before I answered and then when I told he guy from the company that they would have to speak to the person personally that has that debt (who was not home at the time) he said, and I quote, "so then why did you answer the [***] phone, [***]!" WOAH! That is never ok! I have children in this house who DO answer the phone and I will be damned if someone on the other line will speak like that!

Ireceived a call this company, they asked for Dixie Apel, I was used as co-applicant on a loan, I did no such thing. I have so many nuisance phone calls lately, it is unreal. So much for the no-call-list. I asked what name they used for me, and he did not know, cause I announced my name, stupid me. I resently went back to my alias. they can find you no matter who you are, he was not actually rude, but would not tell me when this loan was taken out and where, he promptly hung-up. When you ask to be taken off their list, they hang-up and (probably) sell you number off to some one else. There is no explanation for this large amount of calls. I do not even go for a 25 dollar Wallmart card. LIes and liars.

Stop calling people.  Yeah, some maybe deadbeats but the majority of people are in hard times and have to decide whether to put food on the table or pay a credit card debt.  You are rude and threatening and I won't be taking any of your calls, H&P.  So grab yourself by the bootstraps and hang on.  I'm about to kick you in the A$$.
