This number 9044185000 company known as HPC. called me today and asked me is I was Margaret Blair. I said no and then he asked me if I was (and said my name) I said yes why? he said that Margaret said that we were partners and got us in a mess. I told him again that I didn't know a margaret blair. and i asked him from what state was this mess in? he wouldn't answer and said ok since you don't know margaret I will remove your number from this account and he hung up. so I called back the number and told the person who answered that I desire to know the information on this account since you had my name on it.  he told me that he would not answer that and told me that if I called again he would GET THIS...... sue me for harrasment......and hung up the phone. I want to know who is using my name and why and I think I am intitled to it, what should I do or what can I do.

Alright, then... First off, thank you to the people who have posted here. 904-418-5000 has called my cell phone twice since Tuesday. Both times my phone has been charging in my room on silent, so I missed them both. I would call back if it was a number I knew or a local number, but area code 904 is Florida, which is definitely not local. Now, everyone on this site agrees that they are debt collectors (the number, not Florida). Some say real, most say scam; I wouldn't know from experience since I missed both calls.
But think about this: Debt Collectors would call to collect debt. Then they would have all the legal info and stuff from official sources, right? Tell me this then: If they were legit and not a scam, why would they be calling me, a kid who's not even in high school yet? One call might mean they got the wrong number, but twice? Determined, like I think debt collectors are supposed to be (all I know about debt collectors is from the name, TV, and Pikmin 2), but it sounds like a scam.

I received a call from them and I returned the call. The guy who didn't identify himself wanted the last 4 of my social security number which I refused to give. He stated "Sweetie with the information I have you might want to give it to him. I told him I could verify my name but I wasn't verifying the number and this is a place of business so do not refer to me as sweetie. He became angry and said he would just let me suffer the consequences. This has been going on for some time. I've had people tell me they're on the way to serve me. Someone called my ex-mother in law and stated they have me on video. I just filed a complaint with the Attorney General of Ohio last week because I was receiving a call from Ohio. It was determined it was a scam and was advised to not provide any information.

The threats made by H and P Capital are just scare tactics.  The worst thing they can do is put it on your credit and if they have your account it may be already on.  Don't pay them they are bottom feeding scum.

Third time in a month, and 4th company calling my phone for Ronita Brown.  I've had this number for almost 2 years and the calls started about 6 months after getting the number.  Unfortunately it's my business number and I don't really want to change it.  You would think that after being told numerous times that I am not her, they would stop calling.  I'd love to have the company NAME to report this.

This company called me and asked for a man.  He was extremely rude.   I asked him "to whom at I speaking with"    I told him "excuse me" and I asked him what company did he work for and he said "HP and Associates."   I told him you have the wrong number.   He told me it didn't matter.  I told him I am filing a complaint.  Go ahead ....you can't do anything!

i just recieved a call from a guy named Bill Jones and he said he was calling to get in touch with my brother cuz he has a claim and $ for him and he needs him to respond asap. his ext. is 165. but the num, came up as h and p capital and he told me it was h and p ass. so who knows

Just recieved a message from this number.  A guy said that my name has been forwarded to him as a person of interest and he needs to talk to me to hear my side of the story before he decides how to proceed.  Also, that this is a time senstive issue so I need to contact him immediately.  I was stunned and then started racking my brain trying to figure out what I have done.  My first instict was that it was the police, but I quickly realized that if it was a cop he would have identified himself and the county he was calling for.  Then I got excited and thought it was a job, but that didn't seem right either.  Luckily, I love to google everything and came upon this site.  Also, I knew something was up when they just used the initals of their company instead of completely identifying themselves.

You're so full of crap.  I have you people on tape making threatening statements.

You are the richest embellishment of all!!!  If you actually work for these scumbag scam artists, and have the nerve to admit it, then you obviously have as many redeemable qualities about you as Hitler!!  Because what this "company" does is ILLEGAL,   for you see, there are also laws that protect upstanding citizens  from you conscienceless and heartless machines. And since these threats are carried out over the air waves, well that lands all your calls right in the middle of the good ole US's NSA, of whom I havew reported this number. And yes, I did recieve a threatening phone call from this number,,, and I have NEVER had a "payday loan" or any other loan. You are nothing but a big, useless scam,, and anyone who gets called by this number should just ignore it. That advice was given to me by my county and state police.

I just received a message from this number telling me a desicion had been made on something on my behalf that I may not know about and it was imperative to contact them today at HP Associates (904) 418-5001.  I do not owe any payday loans (never have had one), nor do I have any outstanding debts.  Sounds like a complete con to me.  I wish I knew where to report them. The caller said his name was Bobbie Westbrook.

ok collector god, if this is not a scam then maybe you can tell me why i paid my so called "debt" to HPC and now i have another collection agency calling me and telling me that they are con artists and i still have an outstanding debt to the company that was supposedly paid off? i then call HPC and ask for a payment receipt and now for two weeks in a roll, the computer systems are down and they cant look up my account. i don't know about you, but that seems might fishy!

They are, indeed, in Florida... this information comes from the State of Florida and their corporate filing, which you can also verify online through the State's website.

Duane Romanello, who is now listed as the agent for H&P, is also (according to the state of Florida) the registered agent for a ton of other companies, including several other debt collectors and finance companies. He IS an attorney in Florida...but he is not listed as an officer, just the agent for process. This is normal for a corporate filing, actually.

As you see above, there was a dissolution that was pending in September, but it was dismissed. The original agent's name was Gary Henrion who is NOT an attorney in Florida but is now listed as the Vice President of the Company. Neither he, nor Noel Pooler nor Tammy (Mackey) Williams are attorneys in Florida.  Again, all of this is easily verified through the State of Florida's website and the State Bar.

These people also were connected with Legal Mediation Practice, which was a debt consolidation firm that is no longer is business. The addresses were the same a year ago.

H & P, obviously, stands for Henrion and Pooler... and by the dates, you can see that H & P came about not longer after the other company closed around  October 2008. It appears the they went from debt consolidation to focusing on collection of payday loans.


Gary Henrion is a Business Broker or Real Estate developer of some kind.

Tammy Mackey/Tammy Williams is listed as the Treasurer for both H & P as well as Legal Mediation.

Duane Romanello was the registered agent for Legal Mediation, but not for H&P initially. Mr. Romanello specializes in bankruptcy, real estate and collections.

HPC called me to. Saying that I owe them 393.oo for a bad check,  I told them that I don't get paid untill the 1st, and I will wire them the money then. BUT, they wanted me to send them the money THAT SAME DAY, through via Wal-Mart Money Gram, and If I didn't send it that same day, they was gonna issue a warrent out for my arrest.  He was rude to me and didn't even tell me who he was.

My son's father works for this collection agency and how do I go by getting the name of the company and the address of the company for child support there is no title to this company  at the address 1919 Blanding Boulevard  32210 Jacksonville Florida if I can get the name and the address to the  corporate office I'll be able to give it to child support because no one that works for the company will tell me anything.
