Added number to do not call list

They said they were from CIBC but then talked about life insurance.  I could barely understand the guy, he was very persistant and a little rude when I kept saying that I wasn't interested.  It's a 905 # but came through as long distance so it could be from Oakville area or Vaughan area.

Called about 6:35 this evening.  When I answered there was only static on the line.  Took a while for it to disconnect.

Somebody called at 12H15 and when I answered the phone that person hang up on me.

A person called at my house and when I answered the phone, hang up on me.

I get calls from this number at least once a day!!! I am on a no calling list and I have a private number.  I am also paying for the call block feature which I cannot use with this number!!! So [***] frustrating!!!Something has to be done about these fraudsters!

It is Canadian Premier Life Insurance Company.
Just call the number back and you get menu.
There is an option to put your number on their no call list.
Select this menu option.  
Enter your phone number.
Your number will be removed from their call list within 30 days.

all of these long distance numbers that call us are part of a big scam with your phone company to charge you for the calls!!!!!! just pick up the call one time and just let em have it...stopped the calls for me =D

They are calling now for a couple of months like every two days... I'm with the CIBC, so I guess that is why they have my phone number.  I never answer to phone calls I dont know the number. I tell myself if it is important they will leave a message which they never do..  Do you know what I am planning to do?  I will cancel my landline when the contract will end in 3 months.  I will only use my cellphone and only my friends, family will have this number.  When people i'm doing business with will ask my phone number (like the garage, the bank, tv/isp provider, newspaper...) I wont give any and will insist to give them only my e-mail.  Much less annoying receiving spam by email than the phone.

I get calls from this number once a day. I called back and put on the DO NOT CALL LIST. But then, right after they called me!  Hope they will stop calling me after 30days. >< F__K!

got a call from this, some bogus life insurance policy offer allegedly sourced via Visa. told them i've heard it before, and not to call back.

Same results as a lot of you. I actually saved the number to my mobile's and named iT "CRAP CALL". At least now, when it calls me it shows as "CRAP CALL" on my call display. therefore I ignore. I wish there was a way to report this to the CRTC and get them investigated and fined.
Anyomne knows how to take all of our ncomments and email to CRTC?

You may want pretend to buy a huge Life insurance policy, give them a bogus name and phone number. Their greed will probably make them go nuts trying to get back to sell and nail a huge commission.

Been receiving hang ups from this # for months. Finally today a real live person! CIBC!!! Trying to sell insurance credit protection.

i live in vancouver, bc.  i get this call at 9.45am, 11.45am, and 1.45pm.  every day.  picked up once, they just hung up.  dont pick up any more.  thanks for posting this, guys!

Got a similar call from Protocol Integrated Direct Marketing out of Hamilton supposedly selling insurance on behalf of the CIBC 905-527-9797
Told her we were on this useless no call list and they should not call. By sheer coincidence she had the rules in front of her and read it trying to convince me that since we had previously dealt with the CIBC it was okay to call. I asked her for a number where I could verify her story and she gave me
