- DanSame as everyone else.. 40 seconds of my time. It was an extremely smooth recording that almost sounded like a live person. They wanted to give a DVD credit for seeing the velveteen rabbit in opening weekend. I listened but didn't give any info and they said thanks and hung up.

- Stephanie BReceived a call from this number but I didn't answer it... I will not answer numbers that I do not recognize.
- JohnGot a call to my cell, called back 5 mins later and it was busy, tried 2-3 times over the next few hours. It's still busy. haha. I think it does have something to do w/ velveteen rabbit.
- KerryI just got this same call @ 10:43 this morning. I actually might see the movie, but I was pissed they called me. This is my cell phone & it's OFF LIMITS, and I'm on the Do Not Call List, so what gave them a right to call my number. I'm getting pissed off again, & may not see this thing. How unprofessional!
- AdamIt sounds like John is a recording they are using on a soundboard. When you talk to them while they are asking you the three questions the audio stops immediately. It has prerecorded answers to most questions but for the ones they don't the operator will jump on acting like they are the supervisor for John. They say that because they are not selling anything they are allowed to call random numbers.
- Kristiethis sounded like a recording, stating something about a movie. i couldn't make much of it out.
my complaint is this cell number has been listed on the do not call list and we do not make it public ... ever! we don't give it out on forms or even as a contact for doctor's offices, etc... - AggieI got a "missed call" on my cell phone - noticed it about 2 hours later. Then my husband received a "missed call" from the same number within about 5 minutes of my call. When we returned home, we looked up the area code and found it was from the Queens, NY area. Since we didn't know anyone in that area, I called the number back and received no answer or answering machine. Then I decided to Google the number and found this site - along with many other sites reporting the same number!! Hopefully someone can get the caller shut down.
- Shirley in Chattanooga, TNI received a call from 917-210-4609 on 2/14/09 at 12:25 p.m. John proceeded to tell me that he was calling about an exciting movie. I was taken aback because he was called my mobile number. I asked how he got my mobile number and his response was they were dialing a series of random numbers. Random number my #ss. My guess is that when you register for something, that site shares your information. Regardless, my number is on the do not call registry--for whatever that's worth. Who are these people. I *67ed(blocked my number) and called the number back, but no one answered. Ain't that some shiggidy!!
- JulieI got a call from these guys a little while ago about a movie. I wanted to see if it was legit, so i called the theater and sure enough it was playing.
- JeffOkay, this is what I am guessing based on experience with them.
They have cell numbers, and they have them in sequence (These are Verizon numbers). They appear to not distinguish between commercial or consumer. However, on the commercial, an "unknown" appears...on consumer, this number appears. It does take callback.
They appear to be using computer-assisted digital recordings (much like a soundboard on the internet) that are able to respond to a range of questions. I thought the first call I received was a little too sterile. So when I got the second call on my personal cell, I asked questions...kept him on the phone. They made two errors on the call...one was subtle...but he didn't answer my question yes or no with something that would have been a simple yes or no. The other was blatant...the voice answered a question, and then it overlaid a second response on top of the other.
I'm speculating, but don't answer questions of these guys. If they have the tech to soundboard responses, I imagine that they can piece together quality snippets of their responses. Maybe I'm paranoid, but politely decline, ask to be removed from their database, and hang up the telephone.- Caller: Survey for Velveteen Rabbit
- MarleyI did not answer the call. But I was called today at work. They are not calling Verizon customers only, as I am a Sprint subscriber.

- BrookI looked up the the velveteen rabbit, and there is a new version of it coming out on the 20th of this month, but it's only in select theaters. So I don't know why someone would be calling everyone about it. Sound's suspicious to me...
- LanceThey called to tell me about a movie this morning. They were quick.
