We just started getting these calls. We get wakeup calls from them every morning around 5:30 am. We answer the phone to stop the ringing but theres never anyone there. They call several times during the morning hours. We tried calling them back and we were on hold for 20 minutes before hanging up.

these people call me several times a day and hang up if I answer. the first time they called I spoke to a person who said she rep. At&t I said I was not interested and have been getting hang up calls ever since.  I work nights and this is disturbing my much need sleep.

This number has been calling my FAX line 2-3 each day.  The connection is held for 38 seconds, then aborts.  My FAX machine then generates a FAX log report with no number.  I contacted my telephone company and they advised me to add "custom calling" to this line so I could trap the caller's number.  It costs me $10/month but it is worth it since my FAX now records the incoming numbers and gives me the option of blocking them.  This has worked well so far and I now have a half dozen of blocked numbers in my list.  Now I can determine who I want to receive calls or FAXes from.

they been calling my house , i call back no one will answer , i  just switch my phone service from AT&T to COMCAST , I save about $40 a month

The call six time a day up until 9:00 pm. leave no message.  all your phones are on the do not call list.  What can we do?

I cancelled AT&T last month, switched to Comcast Triple Play (we upgraded our cable & have had internet modem for 8 years already).  We love the new phone service.  Have gotten 3 letters and over 10 calls from this number.  I answered but there's no reply.  Knew it was telemarketer but I've found that I have better luck with them if I tell them not to call.  Now that I know it's probably AT&T, I'm better prepared.  I'm going to contact AT&T directly to ask them to stop hassling us.

calls started today, yuk! does anyone have an email address so we can all write to them? That was effective for me to rid another harassing telemarketer recently.

Numerous calls. Never a message. Never anyone on line if I answer. I called back and got endless muzak and "your call is important" messages. Can anyone tell me to whom to file a complaint. I on DNC list like many other being tortured by these jerks.

Less than 2 weeks after canceling our AT&T service, we started receiving the harassing phone calls from these people. If the business is AT&T, then they should list themselves as AT&T, not some fly-by-night business named "EFFECTIVE TELES" with no reputable contact information. Perhaps someone working inside at AT&T is making money on the side by selling off our phone numbers to a second party, pretending to be affiliated with AT&T? These people have gotten our confidential information somehow and it would have to be an inside job. I see no proof that there's any affiliation with AT&T and it appears to be a scam to get around the Do Not Call law. This is an invasion of our privacy.

I've filed a formal complaint with the "Do Not Call" Registry and blocked these scammers for good. For those of you with night jobs that are disturbed by this nonsense during daytime sleeping hours... Good luck!

I get 2-3 calls a day from this number. When I do not answer and then try to call them back, I can not speak to anyone. I am tired of these frequent calls.

Same thing here but I think Olauf has a good idea ...I called this number at AT&T 1-936-560-7597 and left a long message for this woman at AT & T to take our phone number off their calling list...if everyone did the same thing and harrassed her - maybe she will take our numbers off the list !  It's worth a try !

Recieved calls from same company. Joining No Call and will file complaint. Also recieved one from "Revenue Assist" 330-409-0368, unpublished number from Canton, Ohio. Must be the "Al-Qaeda" of the phone system.

I, too, am getting calls -2 to 3 a day.  My caller ID just says Effective Teles.  I am ready to file a complaint.

A new wrinkle - "Effective Teles"ervices switched to a slighly new phone number (936) 568-8951 located in Livingston, Texas. However, they left a message on our answering machine - a female voice with voice noised in the background going "Hello! Hello. Hello? Hello." to no effective purpose. Have these goons moved a couple of miles away from Nacogdoches, Texas?

They are calling me every day leaving a blank voice mail. One day, I picked up the call and told them I have a better phone service but they still keep calling me. Their offers sucks. I have Vonage for $25.95 with UNLIMITED calling to 60 countries, but their plan is that I need to pay per minute for International Calls. Why should I go with them? How could I stop? I feel like collapsing and crying. They wake my infants up. They wake my family up.

I have received calls from this number 2-3 times daily for three weeks.I answered the phone once in hopes of finding out why they continue to call when I am on the DNCL.No one answered on their end. Very Annoying!

we also just cancelled our AT&T phone and these calls from Effective Teles 936-568-8951 call us 2-3 times a day. we are sick and tired of all these phone calls. same thing they don't leave a message and no answer when we do pick up

I am on a do not call list!

Calling 3 to 4 times daily and hanging up I have reported this # but the calling has not stopped I am calling the Attorney Generals office on Monday
