They call me everyday and do not leave a message.  I have never answered the call.

they keep calling me  even i am in no call list also tooled them  i dont want what thy are selling

Caller ID is well worth the money. I NEVER answer a call from a person/organization with an unknown number. This company calls me several times a day also, I just never answer. Any 800 number that doesn't leave a message doesn't want my business all that bad anyway.

Switched from AT&T to Comcast and about a month later started getting calls from this Effective Teles about 3 times a day. I never answer. These things usually stop if you don't, use your answering machine or caller id to screen and just wait it out. If you are getting woken up you should probably turn off the ringer on your phone when you are sleeping.

This is ATT asking me to use their telephone service. I told them I don't want it and they keep calling at all hours of the day. Once I got a call after 9 PM! How do I stop these calls????

Dumped AT&T after almost 10 years of increasing rates and poor service. Now every day, I receive a VM hangup from (936) 568-8951.  They never leave a message but I can hear some background noise in the VM before the disconnect.
May end up contacting my new provider to block the whole damn area code!

Hey, been getting calls from "Effective Teles" at a slightly different number, 936-568-8953, which means the guy calling is just two digits off.  Says he's with "Frontier Telephone" which was bought out by Verizon about a year ago.  And their service was just like a frontier telephone - two dixie cups and a string. The annoying thing was he wanted to speak to "the person in charge of making decisions at this number."  He would NOT say who he was, until after minutes of prodding - then, reluctantly he told me he was with the loser company we just dropped after 31 YEARS of paying the highest phone rates in the nation [$78 a month, just for the phone local/long distance calls].  This guy is more desperate than a camel in the desert looking for water. Felt bad for the guy, right up until the moment I hung up because "Larry the Cable Guy" was on the History Channel.

I get at least 2 to 3 calls from this # every day.  When I answer, no one is there.

I switched from using AT&T to Cox Communications for my phone/voicemail/internet services.  I am very happy to be able to enter in phone numbers including this annoying one from AT&T's little call monkey's and have the calls automatically forwarded to voicemail or as I like to call it "Automatic Ignore".  The phone doesn't even ring when they call it just forwards and since they never leave a message I don't have to deal with them hanging up on me.

I guess it's AT&T. We used to have AT&T and switched to Comcast because AT&T was too expensive. We kept the phone number and for a year now we've been getting calls from "Effective Teles." We answer occasionally and ask them to take us off their calling list - no luck. We're changing our number soon. Hope that solves the problem!

According to a guy named ROBERT, Effective Teles is a company contracted by AT&T.

I cancelled my AT&T Account, but because I previously had their service, they are "allowed" to bother me.  Robert just tried to give me another sales spiel, and I requested that he put me on AT&T's Do Not Call list, which, according to Robert, will take THIRTY DAYS to take effect!!

What kind of nonsense is that?

I am tired of these calls! How do we stop them?  I have already turned them in to the Do Not Call site.

I was contacted by a rep with a fantastic deal.  I am so glad that I had just signed up with AT&T.  Otherwise, I might have fallen for this scam.  I didn't get the name of the company.  The rep said that AT*T was making this fantastic offer to get people to come BACK to AT*T
