    Resume Posted
I just got a message from Work-Save-Retire wanting to speak with me about my resume, sounded like a scam so I checked the internet and found all of these posts about their scam.
Her name was Rochelle Stanley, not Bob Jones and the number was (855) 866-5768.  Hopefully they will not keep calling, regardless I will ignore!

Got a call from Tami with Work Save Retire on my VM this morning from (952) 358-5970 asking me to call (866) 994-0381.  I called back, curious but suspicious, and someone else answered.  I said Tami had called me, and the woman at the other end said Tami would call me back.  As I was waiting for her call, I searched for the company and found this thread and saw all of your warnings.  THANK YOU!  Though as I said, it sounded suspicious...

Tami called back, and I asked her directly whether she had a job for me, in my profession.  "No."  Then I said it sounded suspicious for her to call me out of the blue asking whether I wanted to sign up for free for their service.  Then she asked me whether I wanted to be represented by a search firm, and I said no, so she hung up.  Strangest thing is that when they hang up, a computer voice says, "this call has ended".  D'uh...

It sounds like this is one of those fly-by-night retirement services companies pretending to be a job placement company.  Not sure if this is bait and switch or just bait, hook, line, and sinker...

The latest job ad scam is from a company known as worksaveretire. A woman called from (855) 866 – 5768 and started her spiel by saying they have a two-step program which starts with a long explanation of their first step which is really just a masquerade to give the false impression they are job search related.

Afterward, they get to step two which is really the only reason for their ad. The caller asked whether I would say I had under $40k in savings or over $40k at which I responded I wouldn’t say at all.

As you would expect, the call ended immediately thereafter.

If you want to check it out yourself, their web address is as follows:

    http://worksaveretire.ning.com/

Probably the only positive comments about them are from paid shills.

I received a call on April 29 about set up a meeting on Monday about helping find a job through job through a search service called Worksaveretriment. I set time to talk to the person who was taking my search for a job. He ask me to load a search program on my pc to track jobs. I notice after pulling job search a discover some jobs are new and some dated January 2011. I concerned that this my be scam to get to my reteiement fund.I don't think is right to talk to a represenative in coffee shop. Being Christain I feel I need to let people know that their are predators out their who try make jobs easier to find and take away our retriment accounts. Let me know if anyone has had some issues with this. (Beware)

Many thanks - you have saved me a lot of time and energy.  I got a uneasy feeling from day 1.  They kept calling and were way too enthusiastic and the finance piece bugged me.
    Keep up the good work.

Got the voice mail today from WSR. After reverse lookup and googling the call back number I came across this forum. I figured it sounded like a scam. After reading posts, if they read my resume they would have seen I was a financial planner. I have a series 7 and 63 trading license. What's that tell you? I don't need some one else to trade my accounts.Duh! I also dabble in computer software. If you choose to download their software scan it before opening it with Avast and Malwarbytes. I have not downloaded it but it could be malicious.

They are trying to sell you financial services of some sort, that part is clear enough.  But and this is a big BUT, the website has many useful tools in your job search.  Will they get you a job, no only you can get you a job but the tools offered may give you some helpful information regarding writing a resume, doing an interview, etc.  YOU just have to be careful with this as with anything else.

I got the same message from Bob Jones @ 866-994-0381, then two other calls from a Kevin with the same org. they were back to back saying the same thing so I assume it was a recording. "Kevin's" # was 855-866-5768. Don't know anything about this org.

I received the same phone call too but decided to meet with the retirement planner to see what they had to offer.  To my surprise I was quite impressed with what they had to offer it is one of the best, secure retirement plans with guaranteed lifetime income that I have seen on the market being offered by a company that is number 1 in their field.  The company you need to check out is the company offering the retirement plan not WSR.  The tools WSR offers for free are very helpful for those who are in job transition and some of the best I have seen on the market.  This not scam don't be so quick to judge get the facts!!  My retirement money is now protected from risk and the tools they have to offer are helping me get interviews.

WSR does NOT recruit a job for you. They are NOT a placement firm. They offer an EXCELLENT resume builder and a GREAT way to search all those job banks with one search that ALL OF YOU search individually. For those of you that have a 401K that needs to be rolled over, they can offer ADVICE to you as to what options you have. THERE IS NO cost for any of this to you. You are NEVER forced to purchase ANYTHING! You have NOTHING to lose and everything to gain. You do not have to go anywhere to talk with the recruiter or the financial adviser as the recruiter deals via phone and email to assist with your job search and the financial adviser comes to your home to meet with you to listen to YOU and what you want for your retirement. They then go put a financial plan together and return at a later date to share with you their financial advise. YOU make the decision to roll over your existing retirement plan/401K....

    So what is wrong with:
    1. Better way to search for jobs (even ones that you NEVER FOUND before)
    2. Free Advice to retirement - moving your 401K or other retirement plans.

WHERE IS THE SCAM??? WHERE DID THEY ASK YOU FOR ANY MONEY???

They called me too.  When I have tried numerous times to sign up for their website, I never get the email admitting me to their website.  they are a  Job Listing & Advisory Services.  I looked them up on the BBB and found the following info:

    Work Save Retire
Work Save Retire aka WSR & Associates
    1480 Lake Dr. W.
    Chanhassen, MN 55317-8518

It is not Better Business Bureau accredited.  It has a B- rating.  There is one complaint against them.

    Curious
I did as well. I had posted my resume on job site and they called me back explaining how they were a recruiting agency and they were a free service since they got paid by the hiring employer etc. So I was told I was going to get a call back from one of the recruiters and an e-mail as well. The recruiter e-mailed me back (Vicki Endresen) I viewed the links they sent and they show how their site can help you create a better resume and sample letters etc. It seems legit UNTIL I got the call back from the "recruiter". Her 1st question was "Do you have a retirement fund like a 401K or IRA?" and no questions about my job hunt. When I asked why, she got nervous and said well we need to know if you will need to be dipping into or anything. When I told her I didn't see how that had anything to do with my job search she said, we want to make sure you are prepared as some clients have set up annuities etc. Her next question was how much money was in my 401. When I told her that really was none of their business and I would not be needing their services for that she asked if I had my own financial planner. I said no but if that was what they were offering, I wasn't interest. She started stuttering and then said Robert Knight (the guy who would be meeting with me at my house) was 74 and retired himself and he helped their company help people first. I said I did not want to meet at my house and asked to meet at their office. She suggested a nearby STarbucks. I thanked her and hung up then sent her an e-mail letting her know i would not be needing their services.
