- Michelle| 5 repliesI've gotten calls from these people and now there is a new one, CPR My Career. Supposedly they were calling about a job I applied to, but it sounds eerily similar to Work Save Retire, because I have to meet with their retirement planner or they won't refer me for this job. WTF? I smell a scam...

- Jim Sinz replies to Michelle| 2 repliesWork Save Retire IS now operating under the name CPR My Career.
- R27 replies to Jim Sinz| 1 replyI have the same concern that this company post the same positions in every major market only has a means to generate leads. Their main goal is to have you move retirement funds into their preferred annuities. I find it dubious when i see the exact positions being listed and when you discuss the positions with them, they respond that "your a great candidate" but they never provide you with details on a actual company, nor present a opportunity to interview. I would have a better feel if they were striaght up and stated we provide some nice tools to create a resume and we have a easy to use job search engine and you get access to this techology if you agree to meet with one of their financial advisors. This doesnt pass the smell test!
- UOBRIMS replies to MichelleIt was a scam. They are Work Save Retire when you call after hours. Never fulfilled promises and the person that was a financial planner not only present himself poorly he misrepresented the product. HE NEVER ASKED ONE QUESTION ON WHAT I WANTED TO ACCOMPLISH ONLY TRIED TO GET AHOLD OF MY ACCOUNTS TO HAVE THEM PLACED IN AN ANNUNITY!
STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Rachett replies to R27Jim Simz is the director of Work Save Retire. Bias and just wants to invest with him. "Smell Test" stinks.
- Mini Gun replies to deleted postWhat are the three companies and have you actually ever met with anyone yet?
- Not a Fool replies to mariah| 1 replyNotice all the positive reviews are from illiterates. "ligit" etc
- Mr. Pinto replies to deleted postI asked them for login information so I could see for myself how "great" these tools really are. The reply was "our site is down so I will email you the information and when it is back up you can check things out". That was 5 day a go and I am still waiting.
- Susan B replies to MichelleI just spoke to a woman from CPR My Career who saw my résumé on Monster and said that since the company is based in Minnisota I would have to meet with Steve Parker in Orland Park ,Il. Instead of discussing my qualifications the discussion centered on retirement solutions. I see in a previous post that Steve Parker was in North Carolina and now he seems to be in Illinois so he really gets around.
- Really - Think about it replies to deleted post| 2 repliesScam - this post is a shill......
- Mr D replies to Really - Think about it| 1 replyReceived the call from Kristy at CPRmycareer who, when asked, didn't know where my resume came from or any specifics about opportunities in my area (which she didn't know). My job search is very specific so I don't post on boards, just direct contact on job openings and opportunities. I told her I would check this service out and to call me back 2 days later. All indications of my search show that this is an assistance service such as resume tools and interview guidance equal to anything you can get anywhere including your local Labor Dept. But this is a teaser to get you to utilize their financial services as a trusted partner in your job search. When Kristy called back I declined the offer but remained curious as to how they had my resume. I had suspicion of a certain job posting so I asked a colleague to send his resume to it and later that day he also received a call from CPRmycareer. So, their posting specific jobs to target specific professionals and income levels to pitch financial services to. Be VERY CAUTIOUS of this company!!! And good luck in your future endeavors.
- danTHIS IS A SCAM STAY AWAY AND DON'T GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY

- B.| 2 repliesGot a vm from Mike at CPR My Career in reference to a job posting. I am always a bit apprehensive when the caller doesn't specify the position in question. So, I Googled, of course they are just another company running a scam. This is the second call from shady companies.
- Caller: CPR My Career
- JobSeeker replies to B.| 1 replyIf you applied to a job posting on Monster that could have led to this contact, please considering reporting the incident with details that can be used to determine if the company is violating the Monster Terms of Use: http://my.monster.com/TermsOfUsefeedback.aspx
- SuspiciousCompany called my husband in response to a job he applied for online. First step was to set up an appointment for him to meet with a local financial planner that they use (supposedly). Why in the world would we want to meet with one of their financial planner? No mention of the job he applied for. SCAM, I say.

- Suspicious replies to deleted postDid they ask you to meet with a financial consultant?
- Suspicious replies to Not a FoolI agree with Not a Fool.
- JobHunterMy husband applied for a job online and was cold-called by CPR my Career. They wanted that my husband meet with a local (Atlanta) financial advisor as the first step toward career placement with them. The financial advisor they recommended was Mark B. Fricks. I thought that this was a strange request so I did some research. I found that Mr. Fricks was Fined And Suspended For Equity Indexed Annuities Sales by FINRA in August 2012.
(1) I would NEVER do business with any company that sends people to a stockbroker who has been suspended and fined by FINRA.
(2) I can't believe that CPR my Career would send people to an financial advisor without doing their research beforehand. It took me about 15 minutes to find out about Mr. Fricks via Google.

- Suspicious Job SeekerGot a call from "Abigail" at "CPR My Career" (952-479-6349 - different number but same pitch). She was well spoken and nice, but she also sounded much like a sales person reading from a script and less like a recruiter trying to match a position to the right person. I was suspicious.
Ultimately, I got the impression they were trying to qualify leads and gather emails - to get people to use their "recruiting and outplacement services" and then pitch their "complementary one-on-one session with a professional financial analyst to plan for their fiscal future."
When I asked about the specific position I was contacted about, I was told by "Abigail" she was a pre-screener and not actually a recruiter. There was no position. Furthermore, she said she wanted my email address to send more info and to give me access to their tools; she said she didn't have my email address - something that's readily available to legitimate recruiters on the major job boards. I declined to give my email address and I'm inclined to think this is simply sales positioned with a "job opportunity" hook. No thanks.- Caller: CPR My Career

- unemployed| 1 replyThese calls irritate me, a guy leaves me a message he has my Resume for a Plant Manager position, I am an experienced one. For sure posted a Job on monster or carreerbuilder to retrieve names and numbers, with the excuse of having a Job for you they make the call. DO NOT ANSWER THESE JOB OFFERS!. The way this is figured is devious. Being unemployed is difficult and these idiots do not help to make things better.
