t's Capital One Auto Finance. They are ridiculous. My bank sold the loan to Capital One. There is no grace period for payment and they start to call immediately. 30 days late (which I'm NEVER) ? Never mind..You can't even be a day late (by their warped definition of "late"), before they start to call. DON'T FINANCE WITH CAPTIAL ONE AUTO. They are relentless . Find a lender that has the usual courtesy of at least a 10 day grace period. In these times, it's all about balancing your bills and figuring out what date to pay what bill on. So, they can keep calling all they want . I just hit the "ignore" button. Jerks.

They call everyday over and over and when I answer they hang up.

Well they call me throughout the day and I just got a car through them a couple of weeks ago but I have been getting calls for a couple of months now.  They always hang up when I answer.

Have gotten this phone call on my cell and home phone....Have no idea who it is or why they are calling

This phone number calls me 5 and 6 plus times a day at all hours.  I am so sick and tired of the phone calls.  I don't answer numbers I don't know, so unsure who it is.

This number calls our job all day and hang up too. This is a place of employment with lots of employees and lines. We have no idea who may have an account with these guys but when I have desk duty, the calls are relentless. Just call and hang up!

They call and do not leave a message and the calling name is always private. I do not answe private callers at my home at all. Let them stop calling my home.

I got the first call from this number today 12/17/2011.  Since I don't have an auto loan with Capital One, there should be no reason for them to call.  In addition, I don't use my home number (which is unlisted) on any business transaction.  As such only 3 people know my number.  This is NOT Capital One calling.  The recording says so, but it is not.  I called the number back and decided to see if I would get a human to speak with me.  They use the recording from Capital One, but it is quite easy to do that.  The biggest indication that the call is not legitimate is the fact that they ask for your Social Security number.  No bona fide bank asks for your SSN in its entirety on the phone.  People are silly if the give this information over the phone.  I think these scammers are using the Capital One name as the bank has so many customers and so many different kinds of banking products available.

Obviously Capital One.  We just got our loan through them.  Never been late.

I receive call form this number (caital one) they don't leave massage, and they even call on saturday and 4 and 5 times a day......they are so ridiculos man!

Capitol One Auto Loan Dept. If you are late, as much as a day, they begin calling, and continue calling in excess of 15x a day. It is a automated system that does not always leave a message and sometimes will hang up upon the phone being answered. Capitol One has their actual phone people in India, so when you do call and request they stop calling, they cant understand you or vise versa. Good Luck!

P.S I was late by 4 days ONCE on my auto loan, and since then they call EVERYDAY! And when you answer they hang up or its a automated system.

It is them trying to get you to schedule your payments using an automatic debit from your checking or savings account.

You can set it up weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or twice a month based on your paycheck schedule.

This is to keep your payments up to date & on-time

Not sure why everyone is all up in arms about receiving this call, just set it up or tell them you would rather mail it in..  Pretty simple 5 minute phone call..

This post is wrong. Capital One gives an automatic 10 day grace period just as any lender does. As a matter of fact, theit first call was a courtesy call and they asked me if I needed to change the daye on the due date for a free one time thing which I did.

The only thing is, they keep calling me as a coutesy call to thank me for becoming a Cap One member and they don't update there data base. Keep telling them they already called me and they thanks and them keep calling me.
