I just got a call from them today, It was capitol one. They sounded very weird, and there was a lot of interference in the line. I recently got a car loan through captiol one and they had all my information. Remember people, someone can get access to that information like your phone number and what you bought etc, but they may not have everything and want to get your social or other personal info. I did not give them anything else besides my address, phone number, and email. I politely told them, when they asked for more information, that they should have all that on file and that i did not feel comfortable giving them that information over the phone. the lady was nice and said it was ok and to have a good day. May be a new tactic where they try not to be too aggressive idk, but it just smelled fishy to me so they got nothing. They wanted to confirm my payment date for the car loan. I told them i got a letter and the letter said i could do it online and that was what i was going to do. Im also going to talk to captiol one to see whether or not this number is authentic.

I picked up the call from 972-378-3660 & it sounded iffy so I hung up. Later, I called Capital One asking if they needed any info from me. They said that they did need info & that call from Texas was legitimate.

Financing an auto loan with Capital One. Automated message lets me know that my payment was not received yet. Call back number is 800-946-0332.

Pretty sure this is legit from Capital One 360. I also just got a car loan from Capital One 360 Car finance and specifically gave my work line that has caller ID and no voice mail and not really used to see how many times they call or sell my number to "outsourced" companies. I am sick to death of being forced to give my number out for companies to robo dial with unnecessary information and then to also sell my number. I do appreciate they are making sure I received all the papers correctly but I also had already signed up with their online access to make my payments and they should already be aware of this not to have to call me nonstop.

This phone number came up on my caller ID and stated it was a private call along with the number. Since I have voicemail on my phone, I expected a message, but no one said anything. On reading of these previous posts, I highly suspect it is Capital One. I wish they would STOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I WANT THEM TO STOP!!!!!!!!!!!

Just got an auto loan from them, made a few payments already, then they started calling. When I called them back I got a recording asking for my account number, and if I did not know it to enter my Social Security number! Yeah right!! All payments were made them back I got a recording asking for my account number, and if I did not know it to enter my Social Security number! Yeah right!!  All payments were made on time and current one is not past due.  They just called today, which is Saturday, and I answered. The person on the other end explained that they wanted to set up my payment plan. I told him the plan was already set up and we have been paying on it, and she said she had no record of that.. This is all BS
I told her if she has a problem to put it in the mail because I don't trust people on the phone.

Claims to be Capital One but is likely a phishing scam. They refuse to stop calling even after i demand they cease and desist! My account is current and has never been behind. Demanding personal information which is already on file which is why i doubt this is really capital one!

They call and when you announce the business they hang up.  If they are trying to locate any person they should use their personal phone number, or send a letter.  Don't use employment numbers especially, this could cause trouble on both parties.

I called the number back and it is Capitol One Auto Loan.

I tried to get through to a person and you can't get past the automated system without entering your loan number or your social security number. Since I don't know who they are calling for...

After I submitted the above post and the page refreshed, guess what showed up below my post? A Capital One ad!!!

Not a hospital.  Capitol one calling to verify your identity.  Some one must have used you as a reference.

I have an auto loan with Capital One and have never been late with any payments. They keep calling our home number which pops up on the TV. I don't even know our home number and never gave them that number since we don't use it or even have a phone for it because we only have one so our cable was cheaper using the bundle package. I called the number back using my cell phone and the automated machine said it recognized my number,  which is funny since they've never called my cell. The machine proceeds to ask for the last 4 digits of my social, so I entered 0000, then it asked for my account number,  so I entered 0 again, but it kept asking for it and said if I don't know my account number,  press pound, so I did. Then it asks to enter my full social security number, which clearly I wouldn't enter. After I wouldn't enter any of my information,  instead of transferring me to an operator, like a legitimate company, it hangs up on me instead. Clearly a total scam pretending to be Capital One...
