What kind of a number is this? Kind of e1ree, needless to say--No response when answered either.

These are showing on my verizon bill as 1 minute calls.  Middle of the night.  Its not on my call register on the handset, and I never remember the phone actually ringing.  However, after reading some of the posts, maybe a connection.  Someone said they answered and it was a call from "Sun Loans".  I happened to get some spam email a couple of weeks ago from this same company.  Something about my account being tampered with.  Went to the website, which is real, but it directs you to sign up.  (Gathering your personal info).
The 999 999 9999 is a mask.  These calls are scams, and/or hacks.  Check your credit report, and go on about your business.

MY EMPLOYER HAS BEEN RECEIVING CALLS ALMOST DAILY FROM THIS NUMBER. THE STAFF IS BEING CONSTANLY HARRASSED BY DIFFERENT CALLERS. EACH TIME THEY CALL, WE REQUEST TO BE PLACED ON THE DO-NOT-CALL-REGISTER TO NO AVAIL. DO NOT ACCEPT THESE CALLS. THEY ARE TRYING TO FIGURE OUT YOUR PHONE SYSTEM TO COMMIT FRAUD – ALWAYS FIGHT TERRORISM ANYWAY YOU CAN!!!!

I have been getting called by them for about 4 months and 6-10 times a day. I am a student so it is extremely annoying when I get called while I am in class or trying to study.

Hi this is Beth calling, it is extremely important that you get back to us. This has to do with your business and is extremely urgent. Please call us back as soon as possible to discuss these serious matters. 817-blah-blah extension-blah blah and then she says again, this is extremely urgent contact us as soon as possible.

I get the same message over and over and its filling up my inbox. It is absolutely outrageous. This NEEDS to stop, I can't have them calling me this many times a day its simply outrageous!!!!!

i get a call from this number about 3 times a day for the past 3 days and it comes up unknown number. i have trapcall downloaded onto my cell (trapcall is something that tells you what the actual number is calling you.) it said it was 1-999-999-9999. i usually ignore it but when i do pick up i hear nothing but i can tell someone is on the phone... kinda creepy.

Saw this number on my husband's cell phone several times. Should I be concerned?

Just received a call from this number.  They left a message.  It was an automated message about children and the proper vaccination times and ages from Anthem Blue Cross, which is my insurance carrier.  Odd they wouldn't identify themselves and hide behind the 999 number.

Me and my girlfriend visited a haunted place tonight and then went back to the house and was watching Paranormal Activity with friends. her phone rang with the number 999-999-99 and then mine. I had mine on speaker phone and answered it, but no reply it lasted 16 seconds. it was really weird since we were talking about real ghosts! we can't call the number back and this [***] is weird!!

I was looking at my husbands cell bill and noticed on 3 different dates that this number (999-999-9999) was indicated as an incoming call and the call durations were from 1-8 minutes. Called cell company and they couldn't help.
Is this number a cover up number that anyone can use to disguise their number? I want answer's!!!!

I have recieved 5 prerecorded calls in TWO HOURS from politicians about the election tomorrow. I decided to call them back and complain. I had to hang up and reconnect 3 times before I could get a dial tone. The damn recording would not let me go!
I *69'd and got the nines as the number. Those dialer and message combinations should be illegal.

I keep getting calls from Unavailable - looks like this is one of the numbers used according to Verizon account usage. Today 11/10/2009 I decided to finally answer and just tell the person to stop calling.  I'm wondering if it's the same "number" calling me, or just a masking technique.  So I answered, said "Please stop calling me" and the guy answered "Oh, this is the first time I called you, bud. What, don't you love us?" This was incredibly weird/creepy. Other telemarketers that have called, I've said the same thing and they were polite about it and didn't say anything weird. It almost felt personal. It makes me worry about the reality. I have a fiance and we live together, and I'm scared to leave her alone for any extended amount of time these days. These people need to get a life.

Block up to 20 phone numbers.
Block calls from private and restricted numbers as well as outgoing calls to 411 directory assistance.
911 and account member phone numbers cannot be placed on the block list.
You will not receive notification of attempted calls placed by phone numbers in your blocked number list.

There has to be something we can do to stop the calls, I get them 3 times a day, the no call list does not work in this case..

Got a call today and the number was 999-999-9999, The caller ID said it was from Sun Loan Company or Corporation. I had never heard of these folks before today, so I did not answer the call. I will be returning to the do not call registry and updating my info again. It is hard enough here at the Holidays and I am a Disabled Veteran now after almost fourteen years active duty in the Army. Hardly sleep due to pain and when I finally do fall asleep here these folks call and wake me up. Maybe the DNC Regestry will help.
