that is interesting. that number shows up on my phone bill also, except its not a weather service. I think this because my boyfriend replies to them. if it were a weather service  i dont think he would be having a conversation

In my case, my wife phone does not have text message option from telus. but I could see that she has calling out the 6245 number 2x already what means? Please help.

I am getting charged for prank texts from unknown 6245 number.  How do I put a block on this scammer?

I need to know where exactly this is coming from and who is sending it.

I am pretty sure texts messages that come from the iPod touch - textnow.me show up at 0000006245.  It is internet-based.

This number (text) is indeed being sent from a real person. I did a phone check on my wife's records and 0000006245 kept showing up. She was fooling around on me. I actually intercepted a couple of the these texts. My wife came clean and admitted they were from another man.

I'm having affairs with several married women at the same time and I set the alias DNS entry on my phone to display 6245 # since it is so widely accepted as another culprit... 6245 is enabling me to live like a Mormon King!

All of you people who are saying this is your spouse fooling around, get a grip.  I have Verizon Wireless and if I send a text message to my email account this is how it shows up. Some "mystery" there. Nobody is doing anything wrong.

Look....its innocuous....it is an assignment by Verizon for AIM Instant Messaging...When I IM my daughter...that number appears....when I IM my wife....that number appears. I did an experiment where  used my mobile IM and tracked the date/time. It coincided with my texting activities.

verizon does need to take action about this problem........................
