- Aine replies to John| 1 replyThank you very much for posting this scam. My mother has just received a call from this number. Luckily my mother told the lady to call her back as she couldn't hear her. My mother does not have a computer. We live in Ireland.
Thanks again John. - LarryIre| 1 replyAlso received a call from this no. today 19/5/11. I'm based in Ireland and they also spun this line about a Microsoft link.
- Brian replies to LarryIreI got exactly the same call from this number (I'm also in Ireland). They claimed to be from microsoft saying I was downloading material that was causing a virus. I could not understand what the lady was talking about and she passed me onto her 'superviser'. When I said i thought this all sounded like a scam he got very ratty saying 'How dare you accuse me of being a scam' over and over. I asked him to tell me what I needed to do, but as I pretended to follow his instructions I just googled the number and found this site. Once my suspicions were confirmed, I just hung up.
- AlanI got a missed call from this number on Friday 20 May 2011. My Mother also got a missed call from the same No on the same day. She also happened to recieve some calls last month from this No, telling her she had a virus on her PC. She told them to go away and hung up but they called back a number of times. I gave her a loud whistle to blow down the line the next time they called. That seemed to really piss them off.

- JPI had a call from someone with an India accent. They said they were from Microsoft and that they wanted to speak with the person who has the computer at my number. They said they at Microsoft for Windows, were receiving error reports for this computer and that it had several viruses. Trojan etc, etc. I said that I would have my local computer "guru" check it out for me. They said that if I did that, that Microsoft would not be responsible for any "crashing" of the computer. I said no thanks and they hung up. SCAM!

Im resident in Holland, if they call me again, i think i will be the one doing the phishing :)

- Harriet| 1 replyI just got a call from this number. Also from a man with an india accent. He said something about being from eci solutions or something like that. There was no way I was going to give him control of my computer so I told him to call back when my husband was home. :) We are located in Holland so the UK and Ireland are not the only ones to receive these calls. If they call back I will try to find out what they call themselves and where they are located.
- Annoyedbutsmiling replies to HarrietIf you get any more calls, try to get as much info as possible, like domains names etc
It may help us to track back to them somehow.
