when answered no answer

I just had a call from a man with a foreign voice asking about my loft lagging and cavity wall insulation.
I said the loft had been done and refused it being checked by what he demanded was the company that had done the work previously.  He said I was breaking the law if I did not have it done. I asked him to termnate the call after further refusing the visit. He eventually rang off. Aggresive attitude and demanding call from 00501

00501 called i have no idea why

Keep getting calls from this number. I believe this is a scam

Just recieved a phone call from this number at 10.30am no message left

Got a call, answered it telling ME my computer needs fixing BECAUSE YOU KEEP LOSING BROADBAND. I said ill call broadbnd provider, no its your computer.  I said I will chuck it then! He put the phone down. I AM FED UP OF THESE CALLS

Said they wanted to help me claim compensation for injuries, couldn't understand why I didn't want to speak to him. Told him I'd had no injuries but if I had then I would claim by myself if I needed to - he told me that was illegal!!!!!! We're registered with TPS and are ex directory.

I get SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO fed up with these calls.  I am thinking of getting a whistle to blow hard in their ears!  Is this illegal???

Called today but left no message BUT due to short nature of number it is very obvious a SCAM of sort.

This all mainly started when moving away from TalkTalk as theri internet service is extremely POOR and their operations are overseas in India, South Africa, Malaysia etc and these are NOT bound by EU or UK data protection laws.

TPS, Telephone companies and police are a waste of time.

Upon buying the TRUE CALL machine (see their ads on internet) I was getting over seven of these type of calls per day - down to one every three days. BUT I am in control of whom get through if they EVER leave a message.

I got a call this afternoon from 00501. No conversation took place.

Got a call yesterday, spoke with a foreign accent.  Insisted that someone at my address had had an accident.  I insisted no and they hung up.

accent was actually so this I couldn't understand them, then they put the phone down. Are these the crappest criminals on the subcontinent, or what?

I have been receiving calls from 00501 for about four days now, and always at very inconvenient times.  So far,  whenever I pick up, the line is hung up on the other end.  My landline providers told me that if I dial 1477 immediately after receiving one of these calls the number is lodged as a malicious call and that these are followed up by the powers that be.  I have been using this system for some months now and, although it does seem to take about a week, the calls (from whichever harassing person or organisation) eventually stop. Hope this information helps others who are being bombarded by these scummy, lying so-called marketeers.

I just had a call from 00501 on my office phone.  They told me my name and asked me if I was that person, which I confirmed.  Before I could ask who they were the phone went dead.  At the exact same time my boss received a call from the same number on her office phone.  Then 3 minutes later I had another call but from 04501 (too much of a coincidence for it to be a different company).  Before I would confirm who I was I asked them who they were and they said Waterloo Solutions and that it was regarding a payment protection enquiry.  I told them I had never made an enquiry and that this was a business phone and to remove me from their database.  Goodness only know show they got this number as it always comes up as a private number when I call people and I only give it out for business purposes.

Sept 2012 Caller knew my name and told me I was eligible for 100% government grant on loft insulation.  I put him right on this and, after getting irritated by his spiel, put the phone down.

I received this number today, when viewing it on the caller display i ignored it.
I've had several of these unwanted calls over a period of time, but have found a cure!

I purchased a cordless phone on line from Tesco, Panasonic KX-TG7512E, £35.

This phone has a barring facility, when you receive one of these calls first, log it into the call barring menu, next time they ring they get the engaged tone for 2 seconds, -the line then goes dead, -magic! The beauty is, you don't even hear the phone ring!

As with others had a call this afternoon from this number and they hung up on answering. Pests  or what?????

An Indian lady called from this number telling me I had a problem with my computer and it was downloading viruses from the internet and could I switch it on. I told her it was already on so she said could I see the icons on the screen. I replied no because I had a browser window open and she said she would put me on hold to transfer me to a senior technician so I just hung up and she rang back twice trying to get me to do something on the computer but my wife took the next call and told her to stop calling.
