00501

Got call 10 minutes ago. A man with an Indian accent asked me questions about my self whether I was married ,had a house etc. When I questioned him why he was asking these questions said it was for a survey-so told him "not interested" and put phone down. These nuisance calls are getting more and more and something needs to be done to get them off the line for good. Nearly always have Asian accents.

This number just called me and said I want to [***] you!!! don't answer if you have caller id!!

I keep getting these calls, heavy Asian accented guy, asks for someone I don't know and when say has wrong number start saying they need to speak with me and calling me madam!!!!! got annoyed and told them would report them on last call and as usual they hung up on me

Nuisance calls have gone on for months.   Have had Glasgow call centre, call centre in England, and one or two from abroad---one is eleven zeros!    First from 00501 (Belize) at 7.06 pm.      casey.

We receive every day phone calls from this number (00501), very annoying...every time is a different reason they call, some time they just hang up.
today they said: We are calling in regards to people who made noise after 1963, are you one of them?
Then hanged up....

They call during the night sometime, there should be a way to block these guys, they have nothing better to do and keep annoying people.

Call from this number at 1225 hours. Claimed he was Robert Gomez, sounded Indian, and that he was phoning about my Windows computer as it had been displaying alerts etc recently. He wanted me to get a piece of paper and a pen to note things down while he led me through my computer.
A lot of pish!
Hung up but should have tried to get more information from him but he just kept on talking and talking and I could not get a word in.

call received today 12.40--- i answered phone - got dialing ring then foreigner said right - i am phoning about your computer.... definitely a scammer

just had a call from the same number, she was not english and when i ask her to repeat what she said , she just hung up... just pointless

Re all the calls from 'Windows'.  I actually contacted Windows who confirmed that they never contact users. If you have call display just let it ring out. Otherwise tell them to [***]. Never believe one word they say to you.

just had a call from this number, 00501, Indian sounding man asked for me personally  said he was'nt trying to sell anything but needed a minute to ask questions to stop people phoning!!.  New one on me!.

Took a while to speak/ V English name/ Indian accent. Said I was owed money because of overpayment.

Six nuisance calls so far today and four of them from 005051. Surely there must be a way for BT to prevent fake caller numbers being used. It should be either 'withheld' or a genuine number, although I guess these people can fake these too...  A reputable business would not do this so nobody with any sense is going to buy anything, so what do they hope to achieve other than just making a nuisance of themselves?
Rant over, back to work...

got a call when we were out. Given the peculuar number I assume it is a scam

I got a call from this 00501 number and all i got was silence with a bit of crackle. Does anyone know for sure who it is please.
