keep calling and silence , read up on them not good,

Let my ansafone screen the call. No name. No message. I am ex-dir as well.

Just had a call from this number. No answer and hung up. Grr!

Called me today and said he was doing a short household survey- I used to do cold calling so I felt bad and just went along with it. Asked me a bunch of completely disconnected questions about my washing machine make, TV make, whether I'd taken out a loan, it was bizarre. Even asked me what my favourite colour was at one point. Can't believe I went along with it for so long. Let my stupidity be a lesson for all.

Got a call from this number yesterday, asked me what sort of boiler I had. Said his name was Nigel. Caught me at a bad time, so i was a bit rude. Then he called me back from 0118888231344 and repeatedly called me a mother f**ker, and screamed abuse. So i hung up. Immediately received another call from the 00501 number but this time i let it ring out.
Isnt it about time somebody stopped foreigners attempting to con their way into our lives and homes to insult us and attempt to scam us.

Got a call to my mobile today from 00501, did not answer.  I've read through the reports, with posts saying, PPI, computer assistance for virus and utilities providers.  Seems to me to be very dodgy, never give out your personal info when receiving a call.  

I got a call at 19.35 from 00501. I said hello a few times and then a man spoke saying he was from Microsoft about my computer and windows and the problems I have with the server. I went along with it and asked when was I having problems to which he replied he had all the information and I kept asking to tell me and he carried in to say he had the information and my computer details. I asked again but he still said he has it all by thus tins u turned round and said I have not computer, do not use windows and he must be a frauds yet so who was he and where calling from. Funny enough he hung up. Do not be fooled, this goes on a lot.

Saturday morning - don't these people have a day off - ignored the call as number recognition on my phone gave no name

Just taken a call (12th October) asking to do a market research call.  When I refused to take part, they threatened to call back until I did.   Call script sounded very similar to calls received a couple of years ago about energy.  They may have an American parent company.

Got a call from +501 at 9am this morning. I didn't answer it  as it didn't display the whole number. Just wondering if anyone knows who it is?

Had a call at19.40 today. Didn't recognise the number so let it go to answerphone. No message left, it must be a scam!

I got a call from this number today. I couldn't hear too well due to poor hearing, his accent and an echo on the line. My experience is similar to Em on 7 October. He said he was from Windows and he knew I had problems. I tried to get his whereabouts but never heard it properly - it sounded like Nervana. He talkled me through looking at parts of my computer I didn't know existed. He got me to count the number of red error notice, and yellow warning notices on two separate listings. (There were quite a lot.) He told me he could fix it and said he would take control of my computer to do so.There were phone problems which meant he asked for my mobile number to call me on that. I then called the company with which I have a software contract to see if the incident sounded familiar. I was assured that Windows never call anyone! Luckily for me I didn't answer my mobile phone when it rang - several times and I haven't heard from them since. I get the impression that 00501is a number used by lots of spurious outfits.

I also got a call from 00501. It was a foreigner telling me I had a problem with the security on my computer.  It was the same call I had had before but from a different number and which turned out to be a SCAM so I was already wary.  I asked which of my computers he was referring to. This threw him but he said it was the one running Windows 7 (no computers were actually on at the time so immediate alarm bells!) He continued to tell me that even a computer expert couldn't fix it, it had to be done from his end. I told him I was not interested and put the phone down. DO THE SAME.

I had a call from this number today. when I picked it up, the line went dead.

I'm getting repeated calls from 00501, which immediately hang up when I pick the phone up. I haven't called the number back. On another note - as far as I am concerned this type of call (and other unsolicited calls) have resulted in my family having a 'zero tolerance' to anyone who calls trying to sell, advise etc. As far as we are concerned the 'telemarketing' industry is a victim of it own bad practices. I vow NEVER to listen to another telemarketing call as long as I live!!

keep getting this number where is is from and why do I keep getting it as I have TPS? 00501

This number called me at 14:35. No message left on answer phone.
