Ghost call - yet another autodialler ?

'Hollo, You are Mrs ScoMaa'm?  I am Vikram.  Vee are calling from Vindows Technical Support Team.'  When I yelled 'Go away.  No you're not.  You're talking a load of S***E' the phone went dead.  Pity my husband didn't answer.  He's an IT expert and would have tied this scammer up in knots!

Received a call from this company today at 14.37. Asked to speak to a Mr. Ferguson . No-one of that name lives here.
This is NOT the first time this has happened. I get regularly. At least three times a week. HOW DO I STOP THESE???

Receiving call from 00501 number on mtnl number and using cheap langauge...it is pathetic comments

I just had a call saying they are offerering free wall cavity and boiler replacement.
Said wasnt interested and kept going on and talking over me and saying will call back next week. Asked for a manager. Same guy pretending to be someone different and wanted my address, mobile details and when i would be in.

Got called from the number 00501 at 5.05pm, 06/12/13.  I thought unusual number and just got clicks when rang back.  No real JUSTICE in this system against foreign nuisance calls that are after your money.

claimed to be windows technical department wanting me to go on my computer and let them guide me through errors they were picking up !!

We're always getting calls from this number, often there is no one there.  A couple of weeks ago they spoke to my husband saying they were from Windows technical department, they got a few choice words in response.  I picked up when they called today and when I told them I didn't own a computer, I wondered how they would respond to that - they actually apologised for disturbing me!

this number has called at least 5 times now,its getting on my nerves, love to see them face to face

m also got this call 15 time in one day bt whem m asking wear r u calling from and they answered we r taking from in india at bhavnager

This number keeps calling us... I actually agreed I had a computer, he told me to switch it on and I did..(the calculator) he got so infurated with my responses he put the phone down :D  - Didnt stop his friends continuing to phone me though :(

They have just rang and a lady asked to speak to me and then hope i was having a good day! mmmmmm know where this is going so as she started to talk again I said " excuse me but ..." but she continued to talk so I said  "please can you listen you need to take my number off your list..." couldnt finish  the "because I am on the TPS" as she hung up.

00501 - this number has just started calling my home line - always 'dead' when we answer

I've just had a call from this number.  Foreign gentleman, asked for me by name and asked if I had a Sky dish.  I asked who wants to know? and he said he was doing a head count.  I asked what company and he said Easy Survey or something.  I asked again why he wanted to know and he repeated the bit about the head count.  I just hung up.

Probably selling insurance/maintenance for satellite dishes.

The number is one of several operated by scammers attempting to get financial passwords and information from your computor

Having reviewed  pages of comments on these number the absolute conclusion is that it is an operating scam to interfere with computors - presumably to hack into such and obtain financial details and passwords.

As I was asking why these people keep phoning me I was called a "whit c**t" > would "really" like to bump into him :P

picked it up and heard foreign voices talking in back ground. I said hello! and they just put the 'phone down!

Answered this number after it has called on many occasions, an Indian voice saying g they were from windows told me that at 5am this morning two people were trying to hack my computer, I put the phone down

Have had quite a few calls from this number over the last couple of weeks, they always wait a few seconds before hanging up on me.

Yes Rick it is a big scam ! ,do not hand over any details they are just pure scum ,plain and simple and abusive with it ,you do not have to be polite to this type of person they are scammers ,one minute they tell you they know your computer has a virus and next ,they are supposedly selling PPI ,all my extensive research tells me they are from India possibly the middle east but I doubt it ! ,unfortunately     India is a hotbed for scammers probably because certain areas are so very poor and the gang masters take advantage of these types ,the lists are provided by people that you have done business with in the past ,an innocent survey ,possibly someone stopped you in the street or you completed an on line survey ?? ,best of luck from Rob ! .
