I was cold called this morning at 9.53 am a man named Craig said he was calling about National Savings I ended the call as I have never heard of the National Savings calling people up out of the blue???

They are definitely on a mission today... have called me twice... thank goodness for caller id!

This number has phoned me on my private line three or four times in the last two days and each time I answer they ring off. They are beginning to be annoying>

This number has been waking me up the last few weeks , yet to speak to anyone as the line goes dead

had call from this number today. claimed to be a government sponsored concern offering to reduce oil and gas bills.

Keep getting calls from this number but when you ask them for details they are reluctant to answer. Have told them I am not interested or have no time to speak with them and their reply is they will try again later.I don't want them to keep calling but they won't listen.

I had a call from this number today, glad I didn't get to it in time, also glad I looked it up on here. Thanks you guys!

They have been calling me about once a day recently. They hang up before the answering machine picks up (it's set to its maximum of 7 rings for this very reason).

Called 20 mins ago. Didn't answer but no message left when answer phone tripped in. Glad didn't answer based on messages left by others on this site.

Missed a call from this number at 10:40am today - when you try to ring it back the number is always engaged so no idea who this is.

This number phoned my number daily regardless of over a year since registering with TPS and repeatedly requesting that my number to be removed.  Eventually I was repeatedly hung-up on when requesting to speak to a supervisor.  Dialing the number back only resulted in a busy tone.

Thankfully Virgin Media's Customer Care dept gave me the following info:
National Money Savers / Universal Money Savers
Their parent company is called Kcom Group.
They deal with marketing for Eon, B&Q, M&S, Tesco and others.

I have while writing this received a reply looking to resolve by removing my number... fingers crossed.

Dialling number back.... get engaged tone always.
Am on TPS and about to report this number to TPS as nuisance calls.

This number called for the first time today, but as I am always getting similar calls I don't answer my phone untill the caller starts to leave a message. If it is someone that I know I will but in on the answering machine, if not I ignor it. My friends are getting used to it now and start their messages with "No I am not selling anything."

I have had a few calls. The first one asked me for date of birth, so I said I don't want to do this and immediately put down the phone. Usually company surveys ask for age or age range. When I dialled 1471 the number had been withheld. Another call said that the company was consumer uk so I said no thanks and put the phone down. Again, on 1471 number withheld. Today I came in and checked 1471. The last number was this one. So I noted and googled it.
Important! I had been warned about giving date of birth so I was immediately alerted to a possible scam.

So everything is cosy then, is it?  Well, it isn't. These unsolicited calls are irritating and intrusive.  And I don't blame people for suspecting a scam in every unsolicited call because there are plenty of scams about.  I don't care who National Money Savers are or even less who they are conducting research for.   I have received several calls from this number, and others, and when I pick up there is no answer.  Why should I be put to annoyance and inconvenience to convenience these callers?  Answer that, smart [***], before you come back again with more soft soap explanations.  And forget about things being regulated by OFCOM.  Effectively there is no regulation because these callers have been allowed, in the majority of cases, to upset people.  None of this should ever have been permitted in the first place, particularly when the callers can't even get their calling systems to work properly.  And why should the recipients of unwanted calls be the ones to have to apply to have these calls stopped?  If they cause upset, offence or irritaion, which they do to a large proportion of people unfortunate enough to be bothered by them, they should never have been allowed to have been made in the first place and it should not be necessary for people receiving unwanted calls that have been authorised to have to do the things needed to stop them.  And don't patronise us with suggestions of panic or suspicions and leave out irrelevant pseudo wise pronounciations as well.
