Just a heads up to those unaware - TPS doesn't apply to surveys, only to selling, so it can't stop these really annoying calls. If you have caller display, put the number in with 'Ignore' as the name and the household will know not to answer.

Received a call from this money savers, knew my full name, which is odd as I dont have any utility bills in my name and deliberately not on the electoral register as a result of various snooping companies and that I think all politicians stink of self interest.
Do not ever entertain cold calls, just say sarcastically "do not call this number again or you shall be reported for harassment, bye bye"
It has worked most of the time.

they should make cold call jobs both telesalewise ad doorstep sales illegal.

I had a call from this number this morning and seeing as it was not local nor a recognised number i didn't bother to call back. I'm glad now i didn't pick up, i want to know where these people keep getting this number from, its been ex directory since i've had it and i never give the house number out to anyone but family. In future if i pick up to this type of call i think i'll try the 'theres someone at the door, please hold' approach :D

From National Money Saver - said it was a survey. Asked the caller where they were ringing from and was told the UK, when I asked for specific location he slammed phone down.

I have had numerous calls from this lot today and have yet to get any sense out of them when I ask for more details about who they are, where they are from, why they are calling etc.
Someone really needs to shut these outfts down as they are a complete and utter waste of time constantly answering their stupid calls!!!

They have just called AGAIN this time they were called National Money Savers, they wanted to do a "quick survey which would take a few minutes" and I would get "vouchers" for various named stores, I toild her I wasn't interested and she said "fine, bye!" and that was that.............I bet I get another call in the next hour.........and if I do.................I will blow a gasket LOL!

they claim its a survey but I bet that it's not, they will simply "sell" your number and the  information you give them pertaining to specific companies/ products who they feel will benefit from this knowledge and you can't have them "blocked" because its deemed as a survey and NOT a sales call, however you can bet your boots that theinformation you give them will definitley lead to sales calls from other companies!
This 'survey' loophole needs closing and quickly!!!!

i got a call from them saying they were doing a survey on holidays. i said no thanks and hung up.

This caller phones repeatedly and asks for a Mr Bell,  Our number is ex directory and when I ask them how they got our number they say that Mr Bell has made an enquiry to them.  I told them not to call back again.  I am reporting this as my telephone provider is unable to assist and I am also registered with telephone preference service.  Not acceptable, privacy is paramount.

This number has called my house 5 times today, I have not answered it because i am wary of numbers i don't know. You never know who is calling these days. How do I stop them?

I am not usually home in the afternoons, but felt a bit poorly so came home for a sleep. You've got to be kidding!  What sleep?  This number has rung 5 times (me using 1471).  Got online to see who they damn well are. Glad I did.  What 'cheered me up' though was seeing ads on this SAME site for COLD CALLING and TELEMARKETING!   Back to try to sleep.........zzzzz

i keep getting someone call me asking for me then putting the phone down

Just had a call from this number said they were doing a survey for National Savilles. When I asked what for said for the company. When i asked who's paying said for the company. When I asked how they had ex-directory number said from database. When asked where they obtained database said from company. When said cannot find company on internet they hung up.

Had a missed call from this number, 1471 it and it was a dead line, I done a google search on it and it came up that it was a tele pest, I have had another 2 calls from this number in the last hour!!!

They called my number this morning, they had the name of my partner who has BT registered under his name, all other bills are under my name. I explained that we are exdirectory and asked how they had the number, they said from a database, I asked to have it removed and she said she would but it wouldn't remove it from all of them. To be fair, she seemed quite apologetic about calling.
Im registed with TPS also but when you search for National Money Savers they seems to have a connection to Talk Talk who is my ISP and since they have been this, I have been bombarded with telesales calls all of whom get short shrift.
Ask them to tell you who they work for, ask them how they got the number and also to remove it from the list. Dont confirm your identity and if all else fails ask to speak to the data protection officer. They generally hang up then and dont seem to call again.

This number has been ringing for about 2 weeks, they either ring off before I answer or when the answer phone kicks in they never leave a message and I am ex-directory. The odd occasion when I have got to the phone I can hear voices in the background but nobody says anything. This is annoying as I'm getting several calls every day.

These peolpe keep calling and leave no message! from previous messages they are debt collectors and up to no good....
