- Alan replies to Nan| 4 repliesI paid these people nearly four months ago and have heard nothing from them, this forum is now making me wonder why, ive called them this afternoon and no one answered, please dont tell me this is a con as i cant afford to loose more money.
They told me i was definetly owed money back from the council and this would be into a couple of thousand pounds. Im now not going to rest this weekend until ive spoke to them on monday.
Please tell me i havent been conned - Nan replies to AlanThe only positive post on here is from "Christine". Only you can decide if you have been conned from the posts on here, but there is a post on here giving a Trading Standards link which could be helpful. It is quite well known the "Rates Refund" business, both for companies and individuals is full of con artists
- Tony replies to AlanI would report them to Trading Standards as we need to help to bring a case against them they are con and its not fair on business that work hard for the money to be taken from you by a con company that don't do anything for the money you give them also you can appeal your business rates for free by doing it yourself so they ain't a business also if we can get case against them you may be able to get your money back
https://www.gov.uk/find-local-trading-standards-office - Tony replies to Alanalso i don't think the council will pay back money for your rates before they may be able to lower them but not repay previous rates back i would ring the council to see if that statement is true and if not they sold you a product that breaks the misrepresentation act 1967 but that wouldn't suprize me this will help trading standards see how they do bussiness
- Redrider33| 1 replyMy caller from Duncan Regent was Chris - very unprofessional and full of waffle. I got him to email over his Terms & Conditions and, as suspected, the truth was radically different to his sales patter. Item 8. Fee. £375.00 +VAT is payable merely on "case acknowledgement" whether or not you get a rebate. Item 9. Commission. 25% of any successful rebate is payable to Duncan Regent (our Chris conveniently "forgot" to mention this). My advice to anyone suffering repeat 'phone calls from this outfit is to gently lay the receiver down on your desk, go make a nice cup of tea and they'll be long gone when you get back. They can't stand the sound of silence...

- Nan replies to Redrider33In my local (Lancashire) paper today there were two warnings about 'phone scammers. One was the Pension Liberation Scam and the other was the Business/Private Council Tax Rebanding Scam. The Police are warning about falling for these scams..
- The Company“The Company” is in somewhat of a quandary why the site moderators are continually removing postings made by “The Company” which would appear to be a total contradiction to what they allow anonymous third parties to post?
Notwithstanding the above:
“The Company” time is best spent in helping businesses who genuinely want professional representation in challenging their business rates and I can assure you “The Company” has helped businesses throughout the UK save “Millions of Pounds” on their Business Rates. “The Company” invites any genuine client to contact “The Company” directly where “The Company” will provide direct links to The Valuation Office Agency to enable “The Normal Level Headed Business Owner” to make their own sensible conclusions on the contents of this site and the services that “The Company” can provide:
Furthermore, “The Company” would refer any “Potential Clients” to the posting made by “The Company” on the 22nd July 2013 which is clear and specific in content.
Any genuine client who has any concerns about any aspect of the service “The Company” provides should write to “The Company” directly. If “The Company” does not deal with the complaint to your satisfaction you may then wish to consider complaining to Trading Standards. The company has written to Trading Standards concerning this offshore website and the anonymous postings being made by various third parties who are acting as “agent provocateurs” in their attempts to damage “The Company” reputation. Making a complaint this way will not prejudice your right to take legal proceedings. - ms-long replies to Mupet| 1 replyThey did the same to me. Many thanks - The Company replies to ms-long| 3 repliesFrom the limited information you have provided about yourself at 1.00am on this offshore website “The Company” hereby advises you to disclose today on this website the full name of your business along with your trading address after which, within 7 days, “The Company” will write to you directly making it crystal clear of “The Companies” intentions in relation to libel for written defamation posted by you which are false and unprivileged statements of fact which is harmful to “The Companies” reputation, and published “with fault” as a result of malice.
If as you state you are unsure what to do, why if "in fact" you did contact Citizens Advice were you not advised accordingly by them about any concerns you may have had in relation to the services "The Company" provides?
“The Company” would refer any “Genuine Level Headed Business Owner” to read “The Companies” previous posting dated 22nd July 2013 if they are in any way unsure of the services that “The Company” provides.
Furthermore, for the avoidance of doubt “The Company” would advise all posters on this site of the terms you are agreeing to abide by and where the responsibility lies for any posting/s made on this site:

. Many thanks - Nan replies to The Company| 2 repliesAs previously stated, Whocallsme operates under USA law and your threats have no validity. As for why the site removes positive posts regarding your company, that is because they have been found to be fake.
- Nan replies to ms-longDo not respond to the threats from "The Company". They have no power to stop you. Tell them nothing.
- The Company replies to ms-longWithout prejudice
"The Company" categorically refutes your unfounded and defamatory postings on this unregulated site and your continued attempts to act as "agent provocateur" to try and damage the reputation of "The Company"
"The Company" has received communication from the Citizens Advice Bureau today, confirming that they are not representing you and have no record of you as a client? Accordingly they have advised that "The Company" should request from you a letter on Citizens Advice noted paper stating the Citizens Advice representative whom you say is allegedly acting on your behalf to enable them to continue their investigations into "The Companies" serious complaint regarding this alleged contact.
I will presume your failure to provide such is evidence that in fact there may have been ' false representation' on your part and as such should this be the case "The Company" would advise you to seek immediate legal advice as to the possible legal implications of your actions.
Notwithstanding the above, please do not hesitate to contact "The Company" directly, if you have the appropriate evidence.
Any genuine client who has any concerns about any aspect of the service “The Company” provides should write to “The Company” directly. If “The Company” does not deal with the complaint to your satisfaction you may then wish to consider complaining to Trading Standards. Making a complaint this way will not prejudice your right to take/defend legal proceedings.
Again for the avoidance of doubt please find below the terms you agree when posting on this unregulated site - specifically - Disclaimer of Warranties.
https://whocallsme.com/nb/tos.aspx - The Company replies to Nan| 1 reply"The Company" notes with great interest your comments and is "The Company" right to assume from the "Thousands" of negative posts you have made on the site WhoCallsMe you are in someway connected to this unregulated offshore site?
Please clarify how direct links to The Valuation Office (The Valuation Office Agency (VOA) is an executive agency of HM Revenue and Customs) showing how any business may be able to benefit from the services "The Company" provides could be "fake" as "The Company" is sure this would be of great interest to HMRC?
http://www.2010.voa.gov.uk/rli/en/advanced/as ... 010/13163399000
"The Genuine" link above clearly shows that "The Company" reduced the Rateable Value on this premises from £14,750.00 to £8,000.00 which over the current rating period saved this business over £22,500.00 in business rates without including any additional entitlements the business may be now able to claim in "small business rates relief"?
“The Company” would refer any “Genuine Level Headed Business Owner” to read “The Companies” previous posting dated 22nd July 2013 if they are in any way unsure of the services that “The Company” provides.

https://whocallsme.com/nb/tos.aspx - Nan replies to The CompanyI do not have any connection with this site. You said you did not know why some of your posts had been deleted by the site Moderators and I gave you the answer. Your posts could also have been removed because you were "spamming", i.e. taking up space by repeatedly posting the same thing. Your increasingly paranoid and threatening posts only show that you are not a business which people should deal with. Your insistence on referring to yourself as "The Company" also does you no favours. I will repeat, your threats have no validity on this site and should not put people off stating their experiences with your business. It is a published fact that two of the most prevalent scams going round at the moment are private/business Community Charge reductions and Pension Release offers. Please feel free to continue to publish your paranoid threats as it shows up your business far more than anything anyone else posts.

Reading between the lines, its a Mickey Mouse, husband and wife operation (Bonnie and Clyde wannabes), probably working from home out to screw as many people as possible!!
To all on this thread who are concerned that they have received letters threatening legal action, worry not, people such as this haven't got the intelligence, or the financial clout to start suing people.
Not to mention their T&C's are so ambiguous, they're not worth the paper they're written on.
Speaking from a legal point of view no judge in the land would entertain a contact as basic as theirs.
Well guys, you've just been Punked!
Because if you have been naughty little monkeys, everyone now knows where you live - good luck!!
Oh....and for the avoidance of doubt (as you keep exclaiming)
All information provide above is "without prejudice" and public information as a UK Limited Company
