- The Company replies to David| 1 replyWith all due respect since "The Company" became aware of this site and its motives "The Company" has been advising clients to do exactly that should any "Genuine Client" have any concerns over the services which "The Company" provides?
It would appear that "The Company" is dammed if we do and dammed if we don't reply on this offshore unregulated site and as such "The Company" will now put its faith in the perfectly adequate UK legal system to sort out any genuine matters that relate to "The Company" rather than get involved with anonymous third parties who are simply acting as "Agent Provocateurs" in their attempts to damage the reputation of "The Company".
Complaints about "The Company"
Any genuine client who has any concerns about any aspect of the services “The Company” provides should write to “The Company” directly. If “The Company” does not deal with the complaint to your satisfaction you may then wish to consider complaining to Trading Standards. Making a complaint this way will not prejudice your right to take legal proceedings.
Finally for the record - In 5 years Trading Standards hasn't advised "The Company" either "Verbally" or in "Writing" of any concerns they have received from any clients in relation to the services which "The Company" provides and as such "The Company" has no further comments to make on this site. - Pavlos replies to peter greetham| 1 replyhi I have the same problem and I m not going to pay them
- Very disappointed replies to PavlosIt seems I have also been duped for my money, my wife's business is now suffering hard because of the financial strain that this company has put us under, we haven't received a penny back as promised for our rates and all we had was a letter saying that we had been refused a rebate. How can these people get away with this if it is as it appears to be a known scam.
- Nan replies to The CompanyDo reply once more. Are you related to Ian Davies of ID Consultants, also in Bolton? They are running the same type of business rate reduction "business" as "The Company". They also try issuing threats using the same semi legal jargon as your goodselves.
- Aj| 2 repliesI am interested to see if what happens after their threatening emails / letters. Can anyone please let me know! I am in a similar situation!
- Caller: Duncan regent
- Call type: Telemarketer
- D replies to Aj| 1 replyThis is definetly the same crew working the same con as ive had site of their contracts and letters as my friend has had dealings with their other company IDC in bolton and their formats and layouts for both businesses are the same, even more so both companies have replied to their complaints on the who calls me site and again you can see it has been written by the same person . so they believe we the pubic are that stupid to think that they can and would get away with this.
I'm going to email the Bolton trading standards and see what they have to say about these operations, as im someone who has been repeatedly fobbed off and fobbed off by these people, I'm so glad that now we maybe able to bring these people to account! - Nan replies to DExactly what I thought. The fact that the surname of the owners of both companies is "Davies" is another clue. As you say, the responses of both companies to complaints is identical, including the semi-legal jargon. If you get a response from Bolton TS, please post it on here. I notice that neither this lot or IDC have replied to my original post.
- Booner| 4 repliesStay away from Duncan Regent if you ever get called by them.
It is a blatant scam for what is actually a free service if you contact the VOA yourself. Duncan Regent say they can get your business rates reduced or you pay no fee. This is false and they actually charge for just raising a claim (the free bit!)
DO NOT ENTER INTO ANY CONVERSATION WITH THEM IT IS COMPLETELY FALSE- Caller: Dunacn Regent Associates
- AMIR replies to Booner| 3 repliesIS THIS NOT FRAUD AND MISREPRESENTATION OF THE PRODUCT THEY ARE SELLING! SURELY THE UK LAWS YOU HAVE PROTECT YOU FROM COMPANIES LIKE THIS?
- Ruari replies to AMIR| 2 repliesI have been reading all the posts eagerly and thank you to everyone who has contributed because it helps so many of us. Like everyone else our company was PROMISED a substantial rebate of many thousands guaranteed. I asked that they do nothing until I was informed of how much they would be able to gain back and that it was fruitless if they went ahead and only got back enough to pay themselves. Chris said "no we would never do that! we would contact you first and give you a choice to go ahead and theres no fee to pay unless you want to go ahead". He asked me to fill out the form and they would touch base once they had an idea of sums. I asked Chris to put his words in writing because the box at the end asked me to tick it and we would pay if a case was going ahead- guess what no reply!
Then the chasing for money began when we got wiser. My director called them and what lies and rudeness he was fed - " we don't promise anything" " just pay us half". The warning bells were ringing and we refused to have any further contact with them. We have received the court action threat and have consulted with our solicitors and have successfully put a case together with immense evidence against this company/companies - if only these guys knew how low their credibility is. We have a strong legal team behind our company as this is a requirement of an established business, as we encounter such uncredable practices throughout our years of trading. It is true that they are hiding behind other companies and the persons making calls and working in the sales team/s are lying to and misleading people and making false promises.
I have just spoken with someone who has been bullied into paying the company half the fee- however the company have given them nothing for their money. So why would you take half and not give something back? Is that not then extortion? I am confused!!!!! If the company have agreed half the fee then should they still not get the representation as promised. In this case no, the company have taken the money and behaved in a very unprofessional manner. So basically this person has paid half to get the company off their back and to stop the "threats and bullying"???????
We have too brought it to trading standards attention and hope others will also do this. We are not a new company and have many years of experience and the practices of Duncan Regent Associates do not offer many people dealing with them any assurance. - D replies to Ruari| 1 replyI've been monitoring this site for the last few weeks and have contacted Bolton trading standards numerous times in relation to my own complaint, but so far i have not had a response back,.
Could you let me know if they follow your complaint up and what action if any they will take, as it seems to me that the business to be in these days is the business rates scam industry as nobody out there is governing these people and they are allowed to just print cash for doing nothing and promising everything. - Old Mother Riley replies to DIf Bolton Trading Standards fail to respond then issue a Freedom of Information request. Or make the Council's Chief Executive aware of the position and demand action.
I prefer the old days when such Civil Servants knew their place and signed correspondence with "Your Humble & Obedient Servant". Now they seem to believe they are the masters. Disabuse them of that belief. You / We pay their wages. - LeanneAs an ex customer of yours who months ago was treated like I was a total numpty and with total disrespect once I challenged you on why you said I would get a reduction and then didn't, I am now so pleased to see its getting 'hot' 'hot' 'hot' for you now. And you deserve every bit of the heat you are getting!
Lets wait and see what your arrogant response is to these new posts ....
You really really are pathetic people, at least thieves sometimes admit their crimes when they get caught and then get punished !
You lot sat hiding behind this dodgy company you purposely set up to steal innocent hard woking peoples monies are the worst kind of scum out there, as you hide behind contract law ,and know deep down the authorites wont bother you, you are the lowest form of parasites out there and are no better than the burglar who tonight will break into someones house and steal Christmas presents that are being saved up for their kids, but you know you won't get punished or caught, which is you respond with the arrogance you do!
Hope one day you get brought down to where you belong! - gordon replies to Sarahi,
i believe this company are scammers. i have recieved a letter thrteatening court action. Has this now happened to you? - micky replies to Michael01204388189
Very peculiar every search engine that you use to find out about the 'company'
has always used a variation of the responselisted below:
---------------------------------------------------
“The Company” has written to the site moderators concerning the six anonymous postings which are in breach of copyright laws and which have clearly been submitted by the same individual. "The Company" intends to seek counsel in relation to libel for written defamation posted by the anonymous poster which are false and unprivileged statements of fact which is harmful to The Companies” reputation, and published “with fault” as a result of malice. “The Company” will also seek advice to use the “discovery process” to track down and find the actual identity of the anonymous poster to enable “The Company” to use your IP address to force your Internet Service Provider to turn over your account information, including your name and address.
----------------------------------------------------
Somewhat strange I believe, if one was sure of the remarks made by others to be slanderous?
you would put your name to your 'company' so therefore I will assume be it my own personnel opinion that the 'company' so called represents 2 Directors one being a director (female).
The other being the company secretary (male) would seem also that he is the manager of the accounts department of the said company.
A little foot note. The 'company' registered address has the following information
654 companies also use this r--- --t postcode, this is probably a mail forwarding service address. - jadeHi every one, unfortunately i have also been victim to this con, realized when i got the bill!! rang them and quoted what they said to me via phone call, working with the government on a no win no fee basis! offering £275.00 with no VAT offer today only, i only had my mobile for email they sent with form, told them repeatedly i would not be able to pay any fees upfront would only agree if claim was won and a rebate given, they agreed with this via telephone which i have.
Now a bill, quoting the above they were rude, obnoxious and to the point where bullying is to nice a word, i rang valuation office,
advised to deactivate them from their services, contact trading standards and put in a complaint, any governing body where complaints can be recorded with all their details.
there are solicitors or citizen advice in your area that will represent you if needed and maybe a counter claim for harassment and abuse from this so called company, of which are however in debt themselves having a county court judgment in place! says it all really.
do not pay them as they are miss leading you, eventually when every one has twigged and complained companies like this will not be able to trade owing people their money back.
Banks cannot get away with their charges or ppi anymore for either misleading or over charging, this company lol makes me laugh, will not get away with either.
Do the above and they will not get away with it with any one else that are struggling in business.- Caller: DUNCAN REGENT
- Call type: Telemarketer
- ThomasI have same, been stupid enough to believe their words! no win no fee type, if no rebate no fee!
THE COMPANY- please state your name???????
If via telephone call the words stated once we have done the research, opened the case with valuation office, we are owed a fee of £275 plus VAT, still no guarantee you will get a rebate or lower the ratable value, but if you do we require a further 25%! do you honestly think businesses will agree to this? send the silly form and tick terms and conditions hardly readable, I DO NOT THINK SO.
start being honest like us in our business then and only then will you get respect and a good response, you will not be getting my money, i am thinking of suing for wasting my time, taking abuse and false, miss leading statements...........- Caller: Duncan Regent [***]

If pursued by DUNCAN REGENT ASSOCIATES LTD. CAROLINE HOUSE.
if we go to court, it will not be the small claims court. Also I and my partners of - _ _ _ Develop Association

- justicegainstfraud replies to Lauren| 2 repliesWould anyone who had issues with Duncan Regent reply to me at justiceagainstfraud@outlook.com...I am building a case against them and would like to share evidence and ultimately have some people power to put these guys to the sword properly via a crown court prosecution...Trading Standards don't seem to de doing much...everything will be dealt with anonymously. I would like to take this all the way and sort these idiots out
- The Company replies to justicegainstfraud| 1 replyWith all due respect (where do they dream these aliases up from) you won’t find any genuine issues on this web site as anyone with half a brain can see exactly what this hilarious site is all about but anyway let’s move on.
Important To Note
Businesses do have a legal right to challenge their business rates on their premises in any rating list period which should always be checked to ensure they are fair and reasonable on a business premises. This can be DONE FOR FREE should a business wish to represent themselves, however, most sensible, successful business owners will always instruct AN AGENT to represent them in such an important matter, especially when the costs of such professional representation only equates to less than 11 pence per day over the entire rating period being challenged.
Businesses who genuinely want professional representation in challenging their business rates should always appoint AN AGENT to represent them and I can assure you this company has since 2008 helped businesses all over the UK save Millions of Pounds on their Business Rates. The Company invites any genuine business owner to click on the direct links below to The Valuation Office Agency (The Valuation Office Agency (VOA) is an executive agency of HM Revenue and Customs) to enable any Normal Level Headed Business Owner to make their own sensible conclusions on the contents of this ridiculous site and the services that this company can provide:

Finally:
It is quite unbelievable how some anonymous individuals spend their time in trying to tarnish the reputation of some companies on WhoCallsMe but I guess at the end of the day the owner of this site (see our posting dated 18/09/2013) knows exactly how to draw in these certain individuals who then have the gall to use words like “idiots”.
Anyway just for you by William Shakespeare:
Life’s but a walking shadow, a poor player, that struts and frets his hour upon the stage, and then is heard no more; it is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.
Now stop embarrassing yourself on WhoCallsMe and if you are a genuine client and have a complaint against this company actually contact Trading Standards directly who no doubt will advise you accordingly as to your legal position.
