I was called this afternoon, glad I didn't manage to answer.

Defiently a scam. i called them back and asked who they were and they hung up straight away

Just called me, obvious scam, company also known as Reclaim 4 Gain, Reclaim 2 Gain, TPL Mac, Banking Solutions Bureau, and others that are now bust. Don't trust any of them, or their owner David Glyn Haworth - hiding in scotland somewhere

Thanks for the info they have tried the same trick on my husband he is with orange that seems to be where the problem stems from.  If you ring and tell them you want Location Stop they cannot sell on any information about yourself also go online www.tpsonline.org.uk and you can stop telemarketing co etc from calling your number. They just got me, and im not liking the look of the possible outcome, cant see my bank solving much of it, really distracted at the time and they suckered me in. Cancelled my card etc but it was too late. :(

acctually all lloyds cards start the same for e.g yours will either start 492181 or 44627
its not illigal for them to tell u they have the firs 5 digits because that information is open to the public.
and if u gave the company all your card number and gave permission to take it out its up to the company to refund, and because u gave ur card details out of your own will its not classed as fraud if the company take a payment from your account.

Got a call from this number today....thankfully i missed the call.  When I called back I got an automated voice, and was finally put through to a woman who told me I could claim on payment protection insurance. When I asked about the company she hung up abruptly.  This is very dodgy.  Dont give any details.

I think  Lawyer works for the company with such comments. When will people learn ah!

Just this second got a call from a girl on this number, saying I can claim back my entire PPI, it just so happens I was looking into this yesterday so I started listening, but then I asked them for their website address and she hung up.

My mobile phone was called from this number but I missed it. I called back and asked for the reason for the call and they told me i was owed overdue money from some form of insurance and they mentioned i had a morgage. Im only 18 and as im at college still live at my mums rented home so how can i have a morgage?. looking at other comments its clear this is some form off scam

I got a message from this phone number aswell -- didnt answer it and after looking on here am glad i didnt!

They phoned me today while i was on a break at college.
I answered cause i didn't know about this scamming thing but they put the phone down on me.
I wanted to know who was phoning me so i phoned back but they hung on me again.
When i got into my lesson i put the number into Google and saw all of these complaints about that number.  So after college i went to my mates and we phoned them again and i asked them why they phoned me they said it was because of some personal insurance thing told them i didn't have insurance and they hung up on me haha.

Just read some more of these complaints.
They need to stop phoning people. Surely by now they muct know how many people know about there little scam. How thick are they really?

I received a call from these people from 01253 750929. They call themselves the Telesales people. They sound plausible offering to claim on you behalf PPI insurance. Foolishly I fell for it!! and give them some more details, they do seem to have some info already. I was reluctant at first but they make some huge promises like they will only take your money when you have been paid out. I regretted this immediately and informed my bank, they had already taken the amount of £58.99. I called them back and a very strong willed woman said that it wasn't a scam and all the relevant documents will be with me in 2-3 days and that they were a legit registered company (they are!!). All the paperwork has arrived, it is just a load of forms and tips to fill in so you can claim PPI payments back, it is totally worthless, however they appear to have done what the promised so in the eyes of the law they haven't done much wrong. Do not be fooled, just hang up or give them abuse and hang up. When you ring the number it seems they have a sound effects tape of a call centre playing in the background!! Please do not be duped like I was. I have contacted my bank but they cannot do much. BEWARE!!!!!!!

Message to LAWYER... they had a lucky guess on my first 4 digits then!!!  Also at NO point in the conversation I had with these thieving a*seholes did I agree for money to be debited from my account!! its been about a month now..and I'm still waiting for my transcripts/copy of conversation to be sent to me as agreed by a so-called manager at TPL!! ..****.Funniest thing was when the manager rang me back and asked to speak to a MR *** and its definately a MR ***she needs to speak to not MRS...as she claimed to have listened to the conversation and apparently it was clear on tape that the transaction was agreed!!!!...IF SHE REALLY DID THIS... THEN SHE WOULD KNOW IT WAS A MRS ****!!! (&  I dont sound like a man either!! lol) TOOO TOO funny!!!!***

i got a call from this number two weeks ago the girl said she would get me my money back she said she cared and wanted to help me she said her name was lyddian newby and like me she was asingle parent and she really felt for me and if i listened to her i would get lots of money back she then asked me for my card details and i gave it ot her so then she passed me to a guy who asked me to spell my name with him and then he told me it was a one off charge of fifty nine pounds and i said i couldnt afford it he said it had already been authorised and was i sure i said yes i didnt want it and he said it was ok he would stop it and tell the other girl off so dont be fooled by this lyddian girl she is very nasty and she upset me a lot
