they just called me. they mentioned they were from free phones select and that my contact was ending soon. I told them it had ended already. He then asked me what my monthly bill was! I told him that I didn't know (I do) and he said he would look it up and call me back! Be interesting to see if he can find this out!

I keep getting calls from this number recently. I have a 18 month contract and they said to me my contract is coming to an end I was um no its not.! and they still keep ringing me so I just never answer anymore its so annoying

These people kept calling me too.
I just phoned and played dumb, claiming i didn't know why they were calling, the guy on the other end said "you're contract will be ending in the next 3 months, sir." I just told him it wouldn't because I am on PAYG and he apologised profusely and said he would take my numbebr off the system.

I haven't been answering these people's calls due to the first missed call I had nearly two weeks ago. As I didn't recognise the number didn't answer and found all these comments about this mobile company, they have now called me at least twice a day now for 2 weeks when i'm in work and now when I'm at home still don't answer but they keep calling!!!!! Have now registered to the tps so hopefully won't get these nuisance calls!!!!!

These people have been calling me non stop for days !!! Leave me alone !!

I have had lots of missed calls and wondered who it was and waited for their return call - so far iv not had to speak to them - i certainly wont be in future thats for sure!! Thanks for being helpful and letting me know what a waste of space and pestering people are trying to contact me.

I knew the number seemed a bit dodgy, so I googled it.

So far, as of 16:45, I've had two missed calls of these jokers.

I'm wondering if it's something to do with 02 and/or carphone warehouse. Even though I didn't take my phone out with Carphone Warehouse (I got it from 02), I got a laptop from them and had to give them my number when I was signing up, maybe this is where they got it from?

Yes it's a phone company of some type and I said not interested and still keep ringing.

Just tell them that you're Pay As You Go. That'll get them off your back, bunch of [***].

Do not deal with these people they are deceptive. I've had a call from them acting like they are from O2 when they didn't know any details of my O2 contract. They call any numbers they can get hold of and hope you are on whatever network they guess.

Even if they offer you a fantastic product, do not deal with them because they have deceived you already and will do again in future if they think they can profit from it.

These monkeys just called me being very pushy after I said yes I will be renewing my contract through the correct channels and not through a company i have never heard of... They also addressed me as SIR... twonks!

I love these guys simply because when you answer you take this piss

This company has been calling me constantly for over a week, I ignored them for a few days as I was on holiday but as the number kept coming up I thought it may be an important business call, hah, big mistake!

For the most of last week and this week I have been receiving 3 or 4 calls a day which I have ignored, but they just kept coming so I called the customer services number (the number you get called from never answers) and spoke to a polite guy but after explaining he said that the maximum number of calls I should receive is 3 per day!
Said that its disgusting and that if they call me again I will report them to Ofcom.

DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY - IF THEY CALL HANG UP!

This Company have messed me around properly. Originally claiming to be 3 mobile and upgrading my current phone contract that was coming to an end. Agreed for my phone to be upgraded and was promised a new mobile phone. However My new contract kicked in before the phone was delivered. I was on the phone everyday chasing for this new mobile phone. Eventually It was delivered and it turns out the phone wasn't the one I ordered and was in fact over 5 years old. When I called to complain they advised me I had already missed the 14 day return policy and there was nothing they could do. They ignored me there after. I am now stuck with an 18 month contract on a 5 year old mobile phone!

Just yet another call from this number and got fed up of them constantly ringing so I thought bugger it why not and proceeded to wind them up for a change;

Man: Hello I'm calling on behalf of your O2 contract which I believe is due for renewal in the next 3 months.

Me: Sorry who are you calling from?

Man: I'm calling in regards to your O2 Contract

Me: Oh HIII!! god its nice to hear an english voice for a change.

Man: I dont follow you..

Me: Well (chuckle) it has been 3 years since I left England and another 18 month I will be free from this Austrailian Jail.... well, if they dont find the body anyway..

Man: (Hung Up)

Calls started yesterday from these people! i have 2 yesterday while i was at work and then 2 again today! havent been able to answer them! and i didnt reconise the number so thought i would type it into google to see where the area code was from! then came across this thread. My iphone is on O2 and is bought from the carphone warehouse. I said to my auntie if you get a call from this number then dont answer it and i showed her this thread. She also started receiving phone calls yesterday!! and we bought our phones at the same time!!! I will be answering these people tomorrow at work and playing along to annoy them hehehehe

I received a call from a woman ,she said my contract withO2 was nearly an  end and shecould renewit if I wanted . So I  thought she was from O2 , I said yes. And I renew the contract  she said she wasgoing to send me the new hand set but she did not say anything about the 3 network. Any way after a few day I got the hand set and I found out it was with another company ( 3 )  . I called them and said I was very upset and I wanted to cancellthe contract but they keep pushing that I have to take it , but I m happy with O2 and I do not wish to chance it , so now has been 5 day I trying to get rid of them and of this contract and I do not know wath to do any more.

Those people want your monet, never ever tell them any of yours details!!!

People have been scammed out of money so beware.

Don’t believe posts that say these companies are legitimate.

I have been getting these calls for the past 2 years now - always from different numbers but probably the same group/type of scams. Ask them a confirmation question and see how fast they disappear.

It seems that Carphone Warehouse is a common denominator to most of these numbers & posts. Not saying they have leaked your info but who knows - It is not impossible that Carphone Warehouse (or one of their affiliates) have passed on your confidential information to these crooks. Companies have an obligation to protect your details as confidential information. Unfortunately not much recourse on this but check out the ICO’s website (Information Commissioner's Office).

If they have your mobile phone number what other details do they have? Address, date of birth, banking details?
