This number called and hung up on me!

I had another call from this number today.  A few days ago they'd also called and said i had won a holiday.  I then realized that i had filled in a survey in Worcester town center, which is something i never normally do. But the girl was so friendly.  She told me that she doubted very much that i would win, because there were so many people filling in the survey.  So i was surprised when they called and said i had won - crafty huh!!  Anyway, they said to ring 08009889904 and i would be given all the details.  Stupidly i phoned the number (am i gullible or what). I was told that i had to attend a 2 hours meeting at Birmingham Business Park and i would then be able to take up this offer. Both me and my husband would have to attend, also bring our passport and proof of our address.  I should have realized when they asked 'were we home owners, did we have a joint income of over £25,000, were we between the ages of 25 and 62'  What on earth does all that have to do with winning a holiday.  Eventually, alarm bells  did rang at last.  So i thought okay i will tell them i will be attending and made an appointment, which we obviously won't go to.  I missed their call today, but when they do call again i shall tell them that 'nobody of that name lives at this house', and we are on the TPS service so don't call again.  I shall also try putting them on hold until they get fed up if this doesn't work.

I got a call from this number, they spoke to me telling that I won some prize from something I didn't do and soon as I said "what are you talking about" they hanged up and haven't called since.

These people are VERY persistant,no amount of subtle/unsubtle requests to stop calling will work.Just accept that any competition to win a holiday,either online or in a shopping centre ,is connected to a timeshare deal .If that is what you want ,fine;if not,you're buggered .

I have just received a call and very glad I missed it!

Looks like they are still trying!They called me on my mobile claiming I had answered a Lifestyle Survey & claiming I was being entered for a prize draw.
When I asked what company they were calling from they claimed Club Costa/Club La Costa. I never fit the criteria they want so they went away. Hopefullt for good!

They just don't answer and keep ringing atleast 7-8 times in a day.

i keep on getting a missed call from 01268557600. Spoke to them once and got given an 0800 number to ring. I didn't bother and now they're ringing me all the time. Lckily googled the number and hey presto it's a scam.

Just got a call on my mobile and they hungup straight away. So I googled the number and got this website.

Said I had filled in a questionnaire on MSN and started rattling off details of me and my partner which were so broad as to sound like it could be anyone. Hung up when I told them that I didn't recognise details and that I hadn't filled in the MSN questionnaire.

Just had a call.  Said I'd won a holiday gave me a ref number and a number to call 08009889904 if I call them before 1800 I get an addition money bonus!  Yeah right.  Apparently I had completed a questionnaire on line - which I don't do.  They confirmed my husbands details (I don't have one) so I am entered in the competition!  Whoopee!!   I think not

rang my mobile but when called number it is 'not in use'. did fill in some survey a few weeks ago. 'won' afree hoilday to Turkey. Did not take up the offer. if its too good to be true, it usually is.

I have received two calls from this number and when I tried to call back the number is unavailable.

keep getting calls from this number told them i had no time to talk and to put anything they had to tell me in writing obv never received anything but still getting calls gggggrrrrr

Have has the phone call today ..... Had one a couple of weeks ago told me I had won a holiday.... they would call back when I could go to the office to collect my tickets - make an appointment first - although the office is actually in the locality of where I live so I just might pay them a visit.

Not amused to read all of this as I am seriously ill and was absolutely delighted to hear that I had won a holiday . - silly me thought something was going right for a change. Would have been my last holiday to ! thanks guys.

Just had the call - I don't remember filling out any competitions for holidays on MSN - I don't even use MSN, just took the 0800 number down and said thanks.

If I get another call from this number I will pretend that I am a police officer and tell them the person they have contacted has just been fatally injured in an accident and this was the last number calling the mobile when the car went off the road - I will need full details for them as they will need to be interviewed by the DCI. I have a feeling they will put the phone down and will never call the number again.

Keep getting calls from this number but as I am on holiday in Spain I don´t answer cause of the cost. However from reading all the comments I have since found out that I am staying 5mins away from a Club La Costa office near Fuengirola . So if I get bored I might pop down there and pretend to be interested and waste their time for a change . What a great website to find out about these parasites !!!!!!!

Got a call from this number today (28th August 09 at 15.50), didn't answer the call as I couldn't be bothered. So I decided to search the number and see what it came up with, which was when I found this site. I'm glad I didn't answer the call now. I hope they don't ring again.,but if they do, I still ain't answering it.

Had a phone call today and was told by a rather excited woman that I'd won a holiday to the costa del sol for 4 people. I was then told to phone a number and quote a security number which I obviously didn't write down as she read them to me. She then asked me to read them back to her so they've obviously got wind of the fact that people aren't falling for it! I hope she calls again. I love winding these people up!!
