I woman called and asked in proper English if she could speak to Belinda or Melinda. I told her there was no such person.
Then se asked if I lived on number 22(?) and started talking with a Irish accent!? and said she needed to check if the address was right....
I said she dialed the wrong number and hung up.- Caller: a woman
- Mr BI get these calls all the time but also had the mis fortune of working from the centres that make these calls based in Brighton (01273)
All Brighton offices are debt collections etc for Lloyds Bank Accounts/Credit Cards/Loans/Mortgages & Cheltenham & Gloucester Mortgages.
I know my calls are due to my bank account being over the limit so hope this helps some people. - rizla j birmingham englandthis number keeps calling and when answered they are indian call center suppossidly from lloyds tsb and ask for confidential info about my accounts.
i have asked for them to send a letter as i dont give this info over the phone but they then just hang up and yet i havent recieved a letter . i spoke with my local branch and they said dont give any info at all as it is a con trying to get you details so as to defraud your account ...so be warned - Mr JThese calls, as many have said, ARE genuine and from Lloyds TSB. I have had a few at odd times and more often than not from folks out in India who I find very dificult to understand and are clearly following a script as they do not listen to what I tell them as they ask things which I already told them.
The computer system they use seems not to be linked in to the main one that the rest of Lloyds TSB uses as they insist on calling my HOME number during the working day when the branch has my mobile number on record as the number to contact me on first.
If you do not feel comfortable in giving out information tell them so. Then call back on 0845 6006393 which is a genuine Lloyds TSB number.
I was under the impression that Lloyds TSB had stopped using Indian Call Centres for members of the public as they do not provide good service to the customers - despite being cheap. Customers do not like them as they can't understand them and are not understood by them. - Ian AppletonThese people are pricks!!! If I want to speak to an Indian I will [***] phone India. If my bank wants to speak to me they can get somebody who speak English to call me, I will then speak to them!!! If they call you and you don't want to speak to them tell them that this is no longer your number and they will stop calling.

- beni work in a call centre and we have to ask for security details before we can give out info on accounts and such...best way to stop the calls would be to make sure all your payments are up to date as thats the main reason for calling...obviously if youve got nothing outstanding then this doesnt apply to you

- Robin ScouseWhat can you say about Lloyd's TSB other than they are nothing but a SHOWER OF S##T If you have a credit card with this lot then you are going to have real problems, if you miss a payment and have a current account with them they will dip that account to bring it up to date, but get this, they cannot be bothered to tell you so you think you have more money in your account than you have, the cunning sods will help themselves to your money usually just before you have a payment IE mortgage or pension payment due, and then when that payment gets returned because you did not have enough to cover it, they hit you with bank charges. They Have even dipped the joint account i have with my wife that the child allowance goes into.So off you go to your branch to complain and you end up dealing with Trees! who say-quote! oh yes they can do that. and anoher one of their tricks is if you send your credit card payment to them by cheque through the post they hold it back until after the due date and hit you with late fees again. This is the Bank that goes to the government with its cap in its hand to borrow tax payers money and then buys out another bank with the money WTF? When this number rings you its from a call centre from 'You guessed it' India, Now I have no problem with people from India, But who was it that Said 'BRITISH JOBS FOR BRITISH WORKERS'? Oh! Yes the same Pratt that has just bailed this shower out with OUR TAX PAYERS MONEY. Lets not forget it was the GREED that this Banks seeks that brought them to the Brink of going out of business,and they think they can lecture and advise us.

- sarahIt is Lloyds TSB, as many people have said, and it is their Indian call centre. I am in arrears with my credit card because I have lost my job. I wrote to Lloyds at the beginning of December saying I would pay a nominal amount for three months until I knew what my freelance income was likely to be, then would send them an income and expenditure statement with a payment proposal. Despite that letter and three since, each enclosing copies of the previous ones, and so many conversations with India I've lost count, they are now texting and phoning me every day. They ignore everything I say, merely threaten me with court action if I don't pay in full immediately. I have today written to the CEO complaining, but I doubt it will do any good. So now I just ignore the calls - if they want to take me to court I'll just produce the correspondence to show I've been trying to communicate with them to no avail. Completely unprofessional and to my mind this constitutes harassment, particularly if you are in financial difficulties and therefore under stress anyway.

- MOgot a call today on my mobile from this number. an Indian gentleman said 'I am from Lloyds Bank and I need your date of birth'. I said that I was not prepared to give him that information and that I would only accept a call from my branch. He said that I needed to call my branch bacause there was an issue with my account. I called my branch and they had no knowlege of this number and there was not any issue with the account. Cant believe how much lloyds tell you about account security and not to give anyone personal details and then act in this way !!

- BarryI received 3 calls from this number today all asking to speak with a person I don't know. I keep telling them I don't know the person they are looking for and they must have the wrong number but they keep calling. They won't say who they are and won't say why they want to speak with the person they ask for. I get the feeling they will just keep calling as it is a different person each time and they don't seem to have any record of the previous calls. Any ideas on how I can get them to stop ? I don't have any account or card with Lloyds TSB (and never have had). Thanks
