Got two calls tonight, first insisting I needed to give my date of birth, saying thet were from lloyds Bank, about an important information on my account.
I said i would not give personal info, and did not Bank with Lloyds.
Second call said Lloyds TSB, same request.
I sail I do not bank with lloyds TSB. they then asked me to conform my post code- I refused.
They said they had written to me, i said I have rewceived no letters, and do not bank with Lloyds TSB.
I hung up at this point. Both callers were Indian in accent, and the first one quite aggressive and rude.
I do have a credit card through Lloyds TSB, and paid the balance in full earlier today online, but the balane was less than £20!.
I intend to ring the card customer services tomorrow to see if its anything to do with them, but I believe it's likely to be a scam.

Why can nobody spell harassment properly? Every one of you has got it wrong! I bet you can't pronounce it correctly, either, with the accent on the first syllable. Only Americans and the uneducated accent the second syllable.

i was called by this number about 6 months ago saying they were LLoydstsb and that i owed them money and had fallen behind with credit card payments. they asked for personal details and would not listen when i said over and over and over that i wasn't even a customer. now they're calling again with the same [***]. always an Indian call centre

I too have has this 01273743574 number call me it is the aprox 20th time in 3 months and there is never a message left but in the beggining when i 1st answered it they asked me to confirm my details and i said due to fraud protection i don not and will not ever give my details out to all and sundry over the phone they said it was very important that i confirm my details and i replied who do you think you are phoning me and asking me for my details no true company especialy a abnk will ask you for your details over the phone and if you call me again i will have you for harresmebt and i will be reporting this number and onversation to the relavent authoritys and they put the phone down but still phone me up but it is all being loggeg every time they call to which i do not answer. lloyds bank were very helpful since i am not a customer of theirs and they said make sure you note the number down and report it as it is definatly not a number of theirs and after the lady from customer services checked she confirmed that it is not even a number for their credit card collections service and she has noted the number down and is galso going to report it, hope this helps everybody, and remember DO NOT GIVE YOUR DETAILS TO ANYONE that PHONES you UP as NO LEGITE BUSSINESS WILL ASK YOU FOR YOUR BANK DETAILS UNLESS YOUR SETTING UP AN ACCOUNT WITH THEM

I would like to point out that some people may or may not be as educated as you as you make out and this is not a place to put people down and as you most simply missed the point of the forum i think you may need to take a look in the mirror before you put people down on their spelling as we are all human beings and need to be treated with respect, and FYI "for your information" im am not putting u down i am simply stating that people dont need the hassle of being put down

This is Lloyds TSB Collection Dep and they need to confirm your details or they would be breaking the the data protection act. If you dont answer you may find yourself wit £100's in bank charges or in recovery dept ie debt company/ blacklisted for 6 years. Dont moan they didnt try to get in touch with you and if your stupid and ignore the calls then hope you can face the consquences.

My house has been rang constantly by these people. I rang them back, withhelding my number (141), and they claimed to be LloydsTSB. I rang the official LloydsTSB number and told them about this issue, and the woman on the other end told me that it is one of LloydTSB's numbers and they're a Collection Department, or something. These people are legit and really are from LloydsTSB.

I suggest just answering and asking to be put on a no calls list or contacting your telecom operator and asking for the number to be barred.

Didn't answer beacause I was at work, but didb't recognise it so seached it on the net and this came up! Quite freaky!

What can be done to stop these people from calling? I'm not even a Lloyds TSB customer. Is this a police issue under the Harassment Act 1997?

Had a call from this number today, 7.30am on a Saturday morning! Tossers! Indian bloody call center.

this IS a legitimate number for credit card services - however, if you dont want to give details out, you don't have to. THEY have phoned you, and asked for you, therefore it is you they are speaking to!

Branches have no access to credit card details online, and many wouldnt recognise this as a legitimate number but it is! it's the brighton card services dept.

the brighton based centre is for collections - if a payment ahs been missed.

I myself have had a lot of calls recently from them and it is very very annoying! but if in doubt, call the number on the top of your credit card bill!

It is also NOT an Indian call centre, as it is an 01273 landline number - Brighton.

This dept collection agency use all previously registered phone numbers for the person they are looking for. In our case the previous owner of our house moved on 11 years ago, (are you reading this Mrs. Keegan?), but the dept collecting parasites still have our number in the dusty archives against her name. We are now having virtually daily calls for Mrs. Keegan. They only seem able to cut the link between our number and her for 24 hours. I started off by explaining the situation each time, but my patience is at an end and I am now investigating legal action against TSB for nuisance calling and harrasment. You wouldn't think it would be that difficult to erase the numbers that obviously don't connect to the person they're after!

I get call after call after call from this number Im talking at least five times a day sometimes one after another .Will take the hint that im not going to answer? Ive paided my flipping credit card payment ! go away !! are they really that desperate for £19! I bloody hate LLOYDS TSB!

Got a call from 01273743574. could hear lots of distant background noise but caller said nothing. I kept saying 'hello' and after about the 6th time some one blew a raspberry down the phone so I hung up. What a bunch of IDIOTS!

Been getting calls from these jokers all weekend asking to speak to someone who doesn't even live here. They claim to be from LloydsTSB and are Indian sounding with very poor English. Not even sure if they are legitimate. Probably some stinking sweatshop scam. Report to authorities immediately.

Same for me this w/e - constant calls to both my personal and work mobiles, telling me that it's very important and can I confirm my details, etc.  I know my Account Manager personally, and if there's something really important then she would call me to discuss it.

I called her and explained - she's never heard about thsi number either but would investigate.  She agreed that Lloyds would never call and ask for such details over the phone due to scams, etc.  However, she then called me back and it turns out it IS genuine!  Everything else Lloyds does for me is superb - this is appalling.

it IS lloyds tsb collections...i use to work for them...the explaination behind them id you even though they have phoned is the same reason we refuse to give it- how do they know WE are who WE say we are and not fraudsters...phone them back on the 0845 3000000 number and they will transfer you to them..its collections (phone if bounced payment or you owe them money!)

I also have had a call today asking for personal details, stating that there are problems on my account, which i know there ins'nt, could'nt even tell me what account had the so called problem, told him i would not give my details out, luckly my wife was there and also spoke to him and thought straight away something was not right, beware

yes its lloyds called me 3 times in the last few days, i have an overdraft with them that is in arrears, i have closed my account with them and my debts are being sorted by payplan but the indian lady says i have to pay them now, no i do not it is being sorted by payplan, you have to pay me now, no i do not, this is how it goes for the rest of the call, by the way, they are charging me interest everyday until the 26th april when my payplan starts.
