My husband has had a number of calls from this number in the last week. They say they are calling from Lloyds TSB. We went into branch this morning, it is a CON, and from what the staff said it is a very believable call. They will give you a Lloyds number to call them back, when you call them on the legitimate number they have given you, they have hacked the Lloyds number and they (the con artist) accept your call NOT Lloyds.

Had a call from this number today. My branch confirmed it was the collection department trying to get in touch with me about my missed credit card payment.  It is NOT a con as some people have mentioned.

I would refuse the potentially bogus Lloyds TSB calls from this number and check on:

I hve been hounded by various people from America to India saying they are from Lloyds TSB, I contacted Lloyds and they asked me to phone the fraud team at Lloyds.  They said that they had NOT been in contact with me and to phone the police and give them the details, which I did.  They then told me to put the number in google and this page came up!!!!!

Since phoning the police, I have since received a further 2 call which I have ignored!!!!!

They have been calling me every day for the past week, each time I tell them I am not on lloyds TSB and I refuse to answer any questions. They simply call again, pretending the previous conversations didn't happen. Next time they ring (tomorrow or later today) i'm going to inform them I am reporting them to the police, I suggest everyone do the same.

This is a scam, not let anyone fool you into thinking otherwise.

Keep getting calls from this number. Most the time there is no one there! When I have spoken to them they want personal details before they can discuss why they have called. Also, there is no limit as to when they call; late at night - 10pm!, and over the weekend - when banks are closed!!!!

I have been getting calls from this number also, today on both my mobile and home phone. I had no reply when i picked up and the phone went dead on both occasions!... I am sure if this was a genuine call this would have not happened! If this is Lloyds Bank it is wholely unprofessional!

it is defo lloyds, they arranged me an overdraft which did appear on my account!!!

Sorry folks, this is a genuine number used by Lloyds TSB Debt Recovery service. My ex wife, now in Oz, gave my number as an emergency contact. Think I must have had 100+ calls including 4 on a Sunday. Called in at the bank and they told me all was in order, but the calls kept coming. Even if I said the person they wanted was not known to me - they just called back 10 mins later.

Eventually got a credit card statement which showed  £1.60 outstanding on her account which had not been paid off. Called into the bank again. They confirmed the number as Lloyds and said they will sort it. Haven't had one of these calls since, that was 2 weeks ago. Gather the service is automatic even if you're 1p in debt. Would think the bank must be losing money on some of these calls. Guess some may be triggered by trivial interest from a previous debt

Anway, pay off your card and you won't have any more calls!

After reading some of the messages on here I have had another call from the above number..................to say I went "ape" would be a mild understatement. All she did was repeat the the same phrases. I think she now knows a few more colourful metaphors than she'd like and the number is now unavailable.
If it was Lloyds TSB then they shouldn't cold call sunday evening from an Indian call centre.
The 0845 number requests you give your account number ..................I wasn't born yesterday and I don't have faries at the bottom of my garden !!

Lauren, your obviouslya idiot! It may well be a Brighton code but technology is VERY advanced, they are able to set a UK number from an INDIAN line to show that it is british, or even have Indian people working the lines in Brighton, However, what ever the case it IS LLOYDS TSB and isnt a Hoax! They are able to access acocunts through there system, tell you remainging balances and transfer you throughout Lloyds departments.

Got a silent call from this number

It is Lloyds Tsb. I checked it on my own. Had a lot calls from this number so one day respond. They asked me am i Lloyds acconut holder, date of birth and remind me to get in touch with Lloyds to discuss business matters. When I asked what is about he said that he's not allowed to do it. I know what it is 400 debt on my credit card.
Even woman in my branch recognised this number straight away so there's nothing to be affraid of.

Just recieved 7 calls from this number stating they are from LLoyds TSB call centre relating to a personal banking issue, Indian call centre staff wanted all my personal data to continue. DO NOT PROVIDE THEM THIS INFORMATION. LLoyds TSB do not call customer without prior authorisation.
