I get bombarded with these calls every day! From 8am-10pm, I don't even have a lloyds account and I never have had one! Anyway they r asking for some woman named Pauline, told them I think they may have the wrong number, then the woman asked me "how long have you been usin this number?" I stated that it was really none o her business but if she should know, I've had this mobile number for about 10 years!! And if you go on lloyds website, it does say they will never contact you and ask for perso al details! Something not quite right here lol!!

This is out and out harassment designed to bully and intimidate people into coughing uo money. Here's someone who's taking no [***] of them....

    http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?364593-Lloyds-bank-harassment-taking-them-to-court-for-damages.

    http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/money/article242534.ece

    and from wikipedia:

"Mistreatment of customersThe methods used by a high-profile Lloyds TSB service (The Collections Dept., based in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, UK), has been strongly criticised by consumer groups and others,[18] as have manoeuvres allegedly designed to take advantage of legal loopholes to avoid repaying charges levied against its clients.[19] Lloyds has also been accused of religious discrimination in connection with its overdraft charges.[20] Dissatisfaction with poor quality public service and inefficient and unfair banking transactions has been a recurring theme for surveys conducted about Lloyds, as well as some other UK High Street banks.[21]

I was called by this number purporting to be Lloyds TSB.  They are not.  Probably scammers.  Get yourself registered on the telephone preference service (free and quick to do on line - don't be fooled into paying for any service that stops cold calls) and then you can make official complaint about anyone who cold calls you as they are breaking the law once you have registered on the telephone preference service that you do not accept cold calls.

I've started getting calls from this number in the past 2 or 3 months. They claim to be from Lloyds TSB, but I don't even have a Lloyds account or never have.

I rang Lloyds customer services, and they said that the mobile number they're calling me on is NOT in their system. I've repeatedly told them to stop calling and been very firm with them but they don't give up!

If this continutes, I shall simply be seeking legal advice because it's harassment!

i was called by this number and an Indian lady saying she's from Lloyds TSB asked me to confirm my DOB. Then when i asked her why she want to know  , she said   it's fine if i don't want to share my details with any one and hung up.  My Lloyds TSB  account was closed 6 months ago so why they calling now and who the hell they are.

    Success!
Want to stop the calls and earn £50 in compensation?...
Sounds too good to be true doesn’t it.  But I did it – I stopped the calls!!

STEP 1     -    Here’s what I did, next time this number calls you, ask them:
    -    To spell out the name the are looking for,
    -    For the address and postcode they have for that number,
    -    Where they are calling from, (perhaps Manila Phillippines?)
    -    To remove you from their list as you are not who they are looking for. What do they say?
    -    To speak to their superior. What do they say?
You can also note down the times and frequencies (once, twice a day, etc.) of the calls.
Not all these things are vital but all will help, and I think the name and postcode are essential.

    STEP 2
    -    Ring Lloyds TSB complaints number 0845 300 000, you can find this number on their website.  Click through to the most relevant department, can’t remember exactly, but you should be put through eventually to someone who can help.
    -    Explain the problem politely, but ensure they understand it is a ruddy (for want of a stronger word!) nuisance.  Tell them all the information you have (see step 1). They should be able to confirm to you that this number (01273743574) is used to chase credit card debts owed to Lloyds.  Ask them to remove you from their list immediately.  I have never banked with Lloyds and I certainly never intend to after these calls – and I told them as such.
    -    You may have to give your home address and postcode.
    -    IMPORTANT - Get a complaints reference number. This means someone is definitely working on it, rather than a note being made by the person you are speaking to that gets lost.
    -    Note when you called Lloyds, who you spoke to, how long for, ask for a direct number to them, an 0800… number.
    -    If all goes well you will get a call back within 5 working days.  I was then told that I have been removed from the list, I won’t get any more calls, I was given a sincere apology, and offered a £50 cheque which arrived in the post a couple of days ago (~14.09.12) for the trouble caused, which I graciously accepted and thanked them for their help.  I haven’t had a call since.

    STEP 3
    -    Cash your cheque and live in peace.

    The above post is correct.

I work for LLoyds TSB in their customer services department. If you lodge a formal complaint with our main 08453000000 number ( check the Lloyds TSB website to confirm this) we will process your complaint in 2 - 4 weeks and will pay out typically £25 - £300 on the strength of your complaint. If you complain in writing, make a log of the calls and threaten to start a civil claim for damages in the courts for breach of the 1997 protection from harassment act then you are more likely to get the £300. However, if just phone to complain, you are more likely to get just £25. In every instance, make sure you get a complaint reference number  and make sure you tell us that you find the calls distressing and if possible, record yourself asking us not to call you.

Lloyds are making a concerted effort to reduce the numbers of complaints as we are the single most complained about bank and we will try to recompense you quickly to close the complaint. We are worried about the threat of losing a harassment case because it would undermine our collections activities. If we had to take all our debtors to court, we would never see any money recovered so that's why we use telephone ( harassment ).

    Why am I posting this?

My employer treats me like [***].
