Report a phone call from 01273743574 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- carlI can confirm that a call from this number from an indian call centre is in fact legit. I was suspicious at first but given my lloyds account was in the red, what was the worst that could happen? anyway they arranged an overdraft to cover the amount outstanding so i wouldnt incur further charges, i checked my account online and all was in order as arranged. In any event i would not advise giving details over the phone- i only did it as i had nothing in my account for a potential scam..... Overseas calls centres are common nowdays i dont know why lloyds choose to use them other than workers on the cheap. Oh yes they are relentless and i consider it to be harrasment.
- Caller: lloyds
- SherifatI was not expecting any call by this time of the day (6:30pm on Wednesday), so when the phone rang I picked it but did not say a word. Surprisingly the caller too did not say a word, not even 'hello' for like 20 seconds before he cut the line.
Then as I typed the first 5 digits of the number got through 1471, the exact number came up showing that a lot of people have had issues with it.
I called the number back and it says'not available and voicebox is full'.- Caller: n/a

- Sjr0803I have had several calls from this no claiming to be Lloyds TSB about a "private business matter". Won't give a name or Department and ask for personal/account info.
I've rung the bank who have confirmed more than once that there is nothing they need to discuss with me so it DOES seem that these are hoax calls. Be wary - when I questioned the caller they hung up!- Caller: Claim to be Lloyds TSB

- SharonHad a call from this number to talk to my husband. Rik ( with an asian ascent) said he was from LTSB and it was regarding a business matter. Husband not available, I asked him for his full name and number so my husband could return his call, he refused stating he can't give those details out. When tried to call number from 1471 did not state it was LTSB and number extension not available and voice mail was full. We've had calls from LTSB before but never on a Sunday at 4pm and never refusing to give their full names. VERY DODGY!

Lloyds fined for PPI payment delay by FSA
Lloyds Banking Group has been fined £4.3m for delaying compensation payments to customers over Payment Protection Insurance (PPI) mis-selling.
The Financial Services Authority (FSA) said that 140,000 customers did not receive their payments promptly.
Hundreds of thousands of people have received redress after they were mis-sold PPI they did not want or need.
Lloyds, which has apologised, is the first bank fined by the FSA specifically for delaying payments.
The bank said it had been surprised by the influx of claims last year.
"We had not fully anticipated the volume of complaints to be processed at the outset and experienced some administrative errors as we scaled up our systems and processes," said a spokesman for the bank.
"We acknowledge that this led to some customers not being compensated on time and we apologise to those customers whose payments were delayed."
'Six-month wait'
PPI was designed to cover loan repayments if the policyholder fell ill, had an accident or became jobless. But the policies were mis-sold on a massive scale to those who did not want or need them, or who would have been unable to make a claim.
Thousands of customers of Lloyds TSB, Lloyds TSB Scotland and Bank of Scotland joined other bank customers to make claims for compensation.

What is PPI
Payment protection insurance was designed to cover loan repayments if the policyholder became ill, had an accident or lost their job.
However, the policies were mis-sold on a huge scale to those who did not want or need it, or would have been unable to make a claim.
How did the PPI bill ever get so big?
Lloyds Banking Group, which encompasses the three banks, sent letters to 582,206 people between May 2011 and March 2012, informing these customers that they would be paid compensation.
Rules from the City watchdog stipulate that this redress should be paid promptly, and Lloyds Banking Group aimed to pay out in less than 28 days.
But 140,209 had to wait longer than a month. The FSA said that 8,800 people had to wait more than six months. Some were not told why the delay occurred.
In addition, payments to nearly 25,000 customers "inadvertently dropped out of the process", the FSA said.
Other failings included:
Copy and paste errors, including one which led to customers being paid the wrong amount in compensation
Staff failing to process some payments, or processing the same batch twice
Cheques being "stored inappropriately" in offices.
"The significant volume of complaints is a product of Lloyds Banking Group's own failings and the least customers can now expect is that redress, when it is due, will be paid promptly," said Tracey McDermott of the FSA.
"In short, Lloyds Banking Group's PPI redress payment systems fell well below the standard the FSA expects, and the size of this fine reflects how seriously we view these breaches."
All except a very small proportion of customers had now been paid in full, Lloyds said. Some of those received interest of 8% on the amount when there was a delay.
Huge bill
Banks have collectively put aside more than £13bn to cover the cost of PPI compensation, making it arguably the largest mis-selling scandal in the UK.
Lloyds has employed thousands of people to process claims made by consumers directly, or through claims management companies.
Although it is the first to be fined for delays to payouts, others have been hit with penalties for the way complaints have been handled.
For example, the Co-op bank was fined £113,300 by the FSA in January for PPI complaints handling.
Lloyds would have faced a fine of more than £6m if it had not settled with the FSA at an early stage in the investigation.
In January, the UK's banks asked the FSA to set a deadline of April 2014 for all further claims for compensation. - Kevin replies to kateI had a call from this number today and thought I will google that when I get home. It was from an Indian sounding woman. I said I am sorry I cannot understand a word you are saying can some one who speaks English be put on the phone and she uttered something and hung up. I have never had a credit card of any sort so have no idea what's going on.
- IainWe have now had 2 calls trying to contact my daughter, one from gentleman with Indian accent but with a name given which looked like a Swedish anagram, the most recent today from a lady called 'Chin' who would not give a surname or would reveal the Lloyds office she was calling from, quoting the Data Protection Act. She gave her 'employee number' as 1333091. Also asked to contact 0845 600 6281. Lloyds themselves have been alerted by us.
ON NO ACCOUNT ring these numbers, particularly the 01273 .. one after they have contacted you - as reported in 'Moneybox' on BBC Radio 4 they may have left the line open so that it just seems as if you are being put through to an operative. Also note that warning them that they are being recorded and will be prosecuted seems to have no effect. The best solution might be just to keep them talking for half an hour or more or attach them to a tape recorder with the message 'We appreciate your call, please state your name after the tone' over and over again. They will soon get the message.- Caller: Allegedly, 'Lloyds Bank'

DO NOTgive any details surname anything to these hoax callers as they will commit fraud in your name, the usual basic tactics are used can you confirm the first line of your address and postcode you would stupid to give them to anyone calling you from an unknown number and should never do so.
These simple details someone can easily run up credit and debt in your name.- Caller: NOT LLOYDS/TSB

- Dennis| 1 replyHad a missed call about half hour ago on my BT line. I rang back from my o2 mobile because it's free for me. I get an automated voice telling me that it is not possible to connect me to this person. The voice went on to say that extension 76313574 not available to take my call, and that the mailbox is full and it is not possible to leave a messege. I then called from my Virgin line and got the same messege from the same voice. As everyone seem to say it's from Lloyds bank i should say that i have NO credit card, only a Halifax debit. I have neither have had any dealings from Lloyds at any time in my life. 01273 is a Brighton area code. I'm thinking a company in Brighton has an automated switchboard service running that has gone beserk.
