Called by lovely woman regarding a student survey. Legitimate and polite.
Perhaps if, instead of spending your time trying to feel superior and smug by shouting at and over people trying to earn a living, you listened to them when they tell you how to stop calls from them? People shout and scream about the TPS, etc etc and this company will offer to pop you on a "do not call" list if you shut the heck up long enough to let them get a word in or just ask. It isn't their fault if you didn't read the terms of the TPS before signing up.

I received a call, I didn't answer, they didn't leave a voicemail.

I received a call from this number to state that he had not finished the survey from last week but i wasnt in work last week so he didnt spaek to me, he was very adamant and insistant that it was me, and wouldnt take no for an answere. He said he would make a dontation to a childrens charity on ref job 16-0906770-01

had a call from this number Ipsos Mori...the number is new and only the council, my bank and paypal have this number my guess is paypal as sold my details on...

They call numbers on the TPS, call all hours of the day and night, 7 days a week.  They are a pest and should be fined and shut down.

They are a commercial company making marketing calls and are 109% bound by the TPS.

What they are doing is *not* legitimate.  They are mass autodialling numbers .. even late at night!  I should not be on any of their lists in the first place and will not legitimise such scum by 'opting out' - which just means they have a sucker and will sell your number to other people.

They just called, but then rang off when I answered the phone! Any idea who this is?

Called on mobile asking if I would complete a survey on ITV programmes. I asked where they got my number and replied that it was automatically generated. I toId them "no thanks" and go generate another number. I was in the middle of a familys day event and had better things to do.

Had a call from them on my mobile this morning (a Saturday).  Said they were Ipsos Mori and that I'd had a face to face interview with them "about a month ago".  Totally false, I haven't stopped to talk to a survey person in the street for at least 5 years and I NEVER give my mobile out to anyone, I have the landline for that.  Pretty much the only people who have my mobile number are medical - though I have noticed a surge in calls every time one of us attends A&E.  Whether this was a genuine Ipsos Mori call or not, the details they gave me were a lie.

Definitely IPSOS/MORI  - i knew i was getting this call about taking on an apprentice.  I explained i was busy but would do the survey rather than put it off later.  She went like the clappers and was very professional.  Its a safe number in my estimation.  Of course i was aware of the call at some point but maybe their practices in other situations are not so good.

Got a call from this number on Sunday(!) Didn't answer it as I was away.

I have caller display. I block numbers if I don't recognise the number or am suspicious of it, so this Edinburgh number is now blocked. I don't know anyone in the city and if it's a business, it shouldn't be calling on a Sunday.

My number is XD and I don't give it out.

They said they were from ch 4  an itv  saying they were interested in certain households  and wanted to ask questions  I asked how they got my number they said rung randomly I was suspicious an ended the call

Phoned Sunday 1035 am. About a survey for aviation, Very polite, But i was to busy to take part.

Silent calls

Female caller, claiming to be calling 'on behalf of the Home Office' (certainly no mention of IPSOS/MORI) and wanting to speak about ' ...  crime and safety ...'. I smelled a rat and told her I was not interested. Checking the number of complaints on this website about this number, over many years, I'm astounded that this nuisance cold calling number is still being used to pester people. I will lock the number and submit a complaint to ICO.

Bothersome survey w/overseas rude individuals... once this call zapped, immediately tried to circumvent by blocking their own number 17 times in a week!

Trading standards provided truecall system for elderly neighbor being harassed by Scammers and cold callers!

Ipsos Mori - Legit call wanting to do survey on behalf of government about living in the UK. Unfortunately I didb't believe him at the time of his call.

With regards to TPS this is from the TPS site:
"Telephone Preference Service (TPS) aims to reduce live direct marketing calls and is unable to stop calls from organisations who are conducting research. Genuine research calls are not deemed as direct marketing as they generally relate to information gathering or seeking of opinions whereas the purpose of a direct marketing call would be to sell or market a product or service.
If you want to stop these calls you will need to contact the companies that make them directly or inform the caller that the call and any future calls from them is not welcomed."

Missed call (no message) fro this Edinburgh number. Some say it is Ipsos Mori but I suspect it's a cold call marketing or scam.
