How about they just don't ring random strangers at all, ever... That way they can be sure to avoid my impolite responses.

Got a call today claimed to be conducting a survey for Ipsos Mori even if genuine should not be calling people and wasting their time. My method of dealing with these calls is to leave the line open until they go away.

I am absolutely fuming, just received a call, and politely advised I am registered with TPS and he stated that he was exempt from them, I asked him not to call this number again and remove it from his call list, he again advised he is exempt again, and advised him this time if he were to call again I would notify the police, he was asked twice to remove me. How rude and ignorant can people be.

Asked if there was anyone in the household between 18-25 to take part in a survey.  I said there wasn't and she thanked me and hung up.  Not so bad.

Who the hell are these people so desperate for money they believe they have the right to barge into peoples lives causing distress and annoyance. (i.e. harassment) Do they have master keys to everyone's front doors too, so they can break into homes and interrogate people on their activities? This country needs to get a backbone and people should have rights not to have to suffer from these people who seem to think they have a god given right to extract information from people whenever they like. I registered with the TPS and give my number to family and very close friends ONLY, yet these people phone me up. What reasonable person on Earth would think there should be exceptions for conducting a survey!!!!

Registered with TPS seems a waste of time... getting so many of these unsolicted calls. Three this morning already including one from these clowns.,

This number has called me twice and not left a message - always suspicious. And it is Sunday morning - even more suspicious.
I subscribe to the TPS so am very annoyed by these unsolicited calls.

The calls from this number are a firm harvesting information for various debtcollection  companies...they claim to be doing a survey about any number of subjects and appear very interested in your answers but some of the questions are to gather info like full name ...date of birth ....full postal address ....marital status .....name of employer ....even make model and car reg number.... you should never give information to anyone who cold calls you (especially if you have a dubious debt claim against you) ..... this call came from 01315614532 and claimed to be ipsos mori

Im not sure who this is as they often ring me when I am in work and I have numerous missed calls.

This company does surveys on behalf of other company's they have recently surveyed people who were on the rent trials programme (where a percentage of people on housing bennifit were paid there rent directly into there bank accounts they then paid the rent to landlords, local housing them selfs

This number rang me on Wednesday but I was busy so I couldn't answer they rang me back again Thursday and this time I answered and I said hello 4 times and they never answered they just put the phone down I just woke up and had another miss call from them at 10:48Am !!!! Wanna know how they've got my number ?? How they've got my number ?? And why are they calling me ??

Just had a call asjing for my daughter saying they was calling from work and pensions. Yer right they clock off at 5pm.

Well no - they can get your name and birth year off the net, now they know your name - date of birth and university attended, and it is very easy to get access to students records - so they have your identity now......bad move

Can we please remove these ridiculous posts by "can't tell" about MI5/MI6/police etc. They're both repetitive and shite.

To clarify some misconceptions, this company does surveys exclusively and does no sales or marketing. This fact makes them legally exempt from screening against the telephone preference service. The logic behind this is that if you try to do a research about a social issue and exclude people on the TPS, you are introducing a huge bias into the survey, making it practically useless.

Also being ex-directory does not mean they can't call you. They sometimes use a method called "random digit dialing". This means they take an area code and just put random numbers behind it and calls the number. This again is legal for market research, but for research only. Anybody who can count to 10 can call random numbers, being called does not mean you are a victim of a global scam conspiracy. They call people randomly to ensure there is no bias in the research results.

They just called me from this number and I knew it was gonna be them, probably about the National Student Survey. Unfortunately I'm still busy with my dissertation, so I couldn't be bothered to answer the phone.

So just stay calm, if you don't want to take part, then just tell them. They're not after your organs, they're just making opinion polls and customer feedback surveys for companies that hire them to.

Stop calling my mobile number I'm not intrested in what ever yous want
