Not quite sure what to write on here.  My husband and I were unfortunately sucked in and paid into there so called franchise (NLS).  We never actually traded and did no wills for anyone at all.  We tried to get out money back but were unsuccessful.  The last thing I heard they had gone into liquidation and PWHC were the administrators.  Personally,  I would only deal with a reputable lawyer if I needs a will.

NLS did Franchises for £7,000 and took substantial amounts of money. Just a couple of forums with bad experiences of franchising. Don't get caught out, do your research.

I remember your name from my NLS Days. I think we have been in touch by e mail and via the web site Steve Pitaway set up. I have e mailed a few of the others who were robbed by Barton and Co to let them know this vermin has resurfaced.

Your threat has been noted.

Last August my Brother was sucked in by Express Law regarding Lasting Power of Attorny & Bespoke Assert Trust, my Brother was dying from a Brain Tumour, we the family arranged to meet the sales person the following week to discuss the process, in the meantime the paperwork had been processed & £2440 was taken from my Brothers Barclaycard instead of £450. We investigated Express Law & did not like what we found, could write lots, but after involving Trading Standard Office, Police, the Wills Society & my Brothers Solicitor (My Brother died in September) we have after six months had a full refund. If you have been  taken in by these people do not despair keep fighting.

abboj Thankyou for your comments. We are sorry to hear that it has taken so long to receive a refund. Your post shows others that there are genuine clients out there that have suffered at the hands of the aforementioned companies and that by informing the appropriate Authorities and months of fighting, you have been successful on your Brothers behalf.

My mother was taken in by Minster Legal Services in Gainsborough. We went to their offices when they were open and promised a refund. It never came and I wish we would have been more determined at the time. Wish we would have known about this site. I don't think their is any hope now (mum passed away a few months back and despite not having a Will everything went through fine). I am slightly concerned by the posts on the last few pages and the sinister nature of the content (including the replies). I also note that you have replied to abboj but not to the accusations pointing the finger at you for being an employee of this firm. We will never know how much upset this caused mum but it leaves us with a very unpleasant taste in our mouth surrounding this whole affair. At least you are maybe trying to put things right now and I commend you for that action but (after reading through most of this entire thing for the last hour or two) I would find it hard to forgive your actions if you truly knew the goings on at the top.

snowdrop Thankyou for your comments. We are sorry to hear about your Mothers passing and that she was taken in by Minster Legal. You could try contacting the Insolvency Service with regards to your Mother's money, they are now dealing with the Liquidation of the company.

So sorry you have gone through a similar situation we have, I was not prepared to give up on getting my Brothers money back, I know you have a different case as Minster are  have ceased trading, but all these people seem to be connected. Keep on trying as I did, wish you all the best.

I had at least 3 phone conversations with him & email contact, he then told me not to contact him anymore, think that shows the measure of Express Law.

Further to my previous answer, I mentioned a Christine as you bought her name up, I have no idea who this person is, the only email contact I have had is from a KW & it was their advise that put us in touch with all the people to help us, we are very grateful.

WARNING: The individual posting on here under the alias KW cannot be trusted one bit as I've recently found out to my own expense. Her information and advice is inaccurate and bias. I take it her motives aren't quite what they seem. Alarming really as what she does makes her as bad as the rogues at Minster Legal Services really - confusing customers further and bending the facts.
I understand KW was a key member of staff at Minster Legal and she posts under several aliases on this forum often having conversations with herself so readers beware.

KW has tracked the Death Angel down on facebook. The are some very influential people on the friends list  including MPs, MEPs and Councillors. KW appears to be male.

This is a group action not an individual one. I have brought this campaign to the attention of  ex-NLS franchisees who like myself were ripped off by Barton and Co.

I can see posters coming on here attacking KW and Christeen Crombie. This is exactly what  Barton's  associates did on the sites we set up exposing them.

Only use solicitors to draw up your wills and legal documents.

To all Readers, we seem to be pressing on a few raw nerves, so much so, that particular individuals feel the need to slate our actions (under various aliases).

These individuals keep referring to Minster Legal Services (UK) Ltd only to deviate away from their own actions.

The company in question is fully aware of abboj’s circumstances, hence this comment:

Abboj stated we assisted by directing them to the appropriate Authorities. How would anyone know what we did or didn’t do? How can such a strong statement be made to suggest that we “DID NOTHING!!!!!” ? (Unless you are closely in the know)

Abboj, and many more clients and ex-employees, confirm our concerns. We will simply continue Protecting the Elderly and Vulnerable by tracking the aforementioned company activities and provide facts which are freely available in the public domain to everyone.
